Dr. Ososanya had taught me so many valuable life lessons in the past. Above all, the most important thing is to continue learning every day. As technology moves forward, there are always new things you can learn and put into practice in your educational and professional careers. Thanks to Dr. Ososanya, I am the engineer I am today. I will always be grateful for what I learned in your classes and in the Electrical & Computer Engineering programs at the University of the District of Columbia.

Dr. Esther Ososanya is more than just a professor. She is family. She never cared about skin color, status, background, or limitations. What mattered to her was serving others and helping people grow. She gives genuinely, without expecting anything in return, and she always carries a smile even when the world around her feels heavy. She opened her home to those who needed it and always made time to listen. She guided me to graduation and supported me in many aspects of life. She helped so many of us at the University of the District of Columbia, whether we were first-generation students, from low-income backgrounds, or from families of diplomats or royalty. She never judged. She simply believed in us and helped us become who we are today. She showed us that our past or circumstances do not define our future. When no one believed in us, she brought hope, love, wisdom, and respect. That is something not many professors, and not many people, are capable of doing. She had the empathy to see our pain and the strength to bring out the best in us. Because of her guidance and support, I was able to work at AWS, publish a journal, and consult in multiple professional settings. But beyond any title or achievement, what matters most is that she is an extraordinary and kind human being. This award is only a small thank you for everything she has given to so many of us and to the community. She was the light that many people needed at the end of the tunnel. I am truly grateful to have had her as my professor, my mentor, my friend, and in my heart, family. As President of the Graduate Student Government at UDC from 2019 to 2020, I witnessed firsthand how much love she poured into every aspect of education.
