I'm an architect, looking to get more involved in automation and citizen development as a way to transform the construction industry. I found the challenge to be really useful, both on a tchnical/power platform sepcific level, but also with some great general coaching advice. The communications and personal brand modules were particularly useful for anyone looking to build their career.

The 90 day mentoring challenge was excellent, Mark's professional experience and effortless delivery provide incredible value and I learned so much in each cohort that is not only actionable straight away but will also give me lessons to reflect on for many months to come

I had feeling that I had a lot of element of the knowledge but at the same during the 90D I saw my gaps and areas where I can improve. It was like solving the puzzle and during the 90d I finally saw whole picture. I'm sure that thanks to 90D content, I can achieve more.

I think it is great for someone who has just joined the community, does not know where to find best practices; does not know who are the main contributors to the community and how to follow them and/or become one of them.

My approach to Consulting with the Microsoft Power Platform technology just started a couple of years ago, during the pandemic in fact, then it helped a lot to understand from an expert point of view how to evolve and succeed on this field, besides learning from Mark's experience. I appreciate a lot Mark's time and effort to help the community with this program.

I thoroughly loved it Mark, thank you so much this was fantastic! I was challenged to think and grow in new ways that are benefitting my career as I write this. If you're serious about a career in Dynamics 365/Power Platform, take the mentoring challenge, do the assignments and watch your career blossom!

The most challenging part is the reading of all the books you've recommended.

It has given me a lot of food for thought on how I should drive my career forward and my definition of meaningful work. The books recommended as additional reading contained lots of wisdom. I learned so much from the books and how to multi-task to read/ listen more.

It was an awesome learning experience over 3 months. Wish I had taken this earlier. It allows one to just pause and reflect about their career. It covers on how to become a better communicator, build a personal brand and contribute to the Microsoft community. It is the best course that I would suggest one to attend to help you to change your Microsoft Business Apps career. Spoiler Alert: Be ready to read a lot of books.

90-Day Mentoring Challenge is the best thing that happened to my career. It really acted as a lifesaver for me, gave me hope. I think everything was just perfect with this Mentoring Challenge. It just struck a chord with me. My unlimited thanks to you "Sir" Mark Smith. It was nothing but the best, on the lighter note it was "that damn good".

I feel it is an inner reflection. At some point you really need some one to guide you on options. 90 day mentoring challenge provides that.

Hmm, this is a tricky one. I saw this as a generalist 'Dynamics Consulting' course, and you covered more than I'd expected.

A potential topic would be a listing of all the tools you've used to master time management, or 'a day in the life of Mark' . We get snippets of how you operate, but a relatable story that also includes juggling your personal time would be really insightful.

I guess the program catered to all major pillars in areas of mentoring. Each session was well thought, well presented, packed with facts and figures, coupled with personal story and covered each areas immensely relevant to the topics. I would say this mentoring challenge is not limited to MS Dynamics 365 professionals though specialized in that direction. Its really fortunate to have this kind of opportunity to be part of such value added mentoring program and that too for FREE!! Its highly recommended to any technical professional in MS area who is looking to take their career to next level. Would like to thank master Mark Smith aka ns365guy for putting relentless effort to make it a success and bring the best to each of the participants. #90daymentoringchallenge #nz356guy #msdynamics365

I considered it mostly as a great opportunity to connect with people. Maybe proactively scheduling some happy hours amongst the participants where they can share their learnings with each other directly can help increase the team building aspect. Content-wise, a lot of it was focused on how to present yourself publicly, blogging, creating a brand, etc. I do think that is important in a career but I feel that brand building can be something more subtle as well. Maybe some more content on how to build your brand without blogging and being hyper active in the social media realm.

90 day challenge has really given me a great impetus to give back to others. Mark encourages all to improve their soft skills and shows you how to sell yourself to others. Knowing your worth and challenging yourself are the key points I can take from the sessions. Not sure anything needs to be added, great insight into how to improve your positioning in the community and improve yourself. Love the discussions around digital brand & selling yourself

I really enjoyed this course and feel like I learned a lot, and also gained confidence and reassurance on some current initiatives. I would always love to hear more about crafting communications and developing a personal writing style for blogs. I know we covered some, it's just my weakest area, so I take all the help I can get.

Its been a great learning experience, very insightful and action packed. My suggestion would be to extend it to 8 weeks and reduce the pace as some of the sessions were overwhelming so would be good if you can spread the topics over multiple sessions - especially the one on on Technology and various roles one can take up

It's already pretty extensive. If anything it could be about structure of work, time organization, balance, etc. There's already coverage of it through some of your presentations, but why not having a module that is specifically focused on that?

The program was great, obviously you have mentored many people in the past and know what is needed. I honestly don't have any requests or changes that I would suggest for in the future.

Not really topics but challenges where we could work in teams. Ex: À challenge where by a team of 2 to 4 we have to deliver an article or a video expressing our opinion on one of the topic. Almost forcing people to collaborate together to create even a greater feel of community?

Really appreciate what you do Mark! This program is so valuable for each one of us because of the self-development content you get. Where organisations are only thinking of billability, #90DayMC enhances your skills not just professionally but at personal level as well. Every member of the challenge dedicated time for their self-development that's amazing how Mark got everyone so involved in it. **This is not a must but might help a bit more if you divide the class into people who're already active in the community vs not so active.

I think because of the Mentoring Challenge I'm more focused on my career than I've been for a long time. Not only from the advice given in each cohort, but also in interacting with the other people involved. I think it almost gives a ""safe space"" to allow you to try out Mark's advice in *how* to build relationships or ""loose connections"". How you should approach people, and how you to start a useful engagement. The reading lists are great too, even if it's just somewhere to start with all the noise and options of things to read. During each session there's always something that will strike a chord with a situation you've been involved in. Or in your working day there'll be incidents that immediately remind you of something that was discussed, or something that you've read in one of the suggested books. And when you try out one of the techniques in the wild and it pays off, it's a great feeling. One negative thing that may or may not come out of it is your friends/family/colleagues becoming annoyed with your new found evangelising about it all! I've already recommended it to anyone who will listen. It's difficult to think of any topics that might be added, because I think that each week gives you enough of a kick in the right direction and then it's up to you how much further you want to explore that topic. So yea, everyone should do it. And I hope one day I can buy you a beer or three.

I absolutely loved the 90-Day Mentoring Challenge. Before I signed up for the challenge I was feeling quite lost and starting to get a little despondent. Now I feel like I've got my mojo back! The topics you covered, the advice you gave and the support of the fantastic community have made such a huge difference to me and my career already. The passion you present with is truly infectious. Thank you.

The 90-Day Mentoring Challenge was much more than I could have ever imagined. I connected with and learned from some of the most amazing and likeminded people in the tech community. I was pushed out of my comfort zone, expanded my horizons, and learned to have the courage to put myself out there and be the best version of myself possible. I would encourage anyone considering the 90-Day Mentoring Challenge to open your arms wide and embrace everything that the Challenge can offer. You will be empowered and motivated to continue your journey of self-improvement and success. Mark, the programming was excellent. The intro videos and cameras-on during the cohorts were a great way to build people's confidence and connect with the group. Additional ""mandatory"" check-in videos would be a great way to further boost confidence and work on effective communication. I really appreciate your time and efforts with the 90-Day Mentoring Challenge. I hope we can connect in person one day. Beers are on me if we do! Thanks so much. Norm

The 90-Day Mentoring Challenge was by far the best career training I've received. It filled every gap I had and more. Mark's dedication to making the world a better place is commendable. Everyone interested with Microsoft's business applications should attend this course. And even if you're not interested in Microsoft's products, then the soft skills learnt on this mentoring program are just as beneficial. Topics I'd like to see added? It's difficult to say, as the course covered absolutely everything and more. One aspect I was interested in was Mark's career, moving from company to company, starting his own business etc. I'd like to have a full session on that learning about the choices and potentially mistakes made. Also, in session 6 Mark said he could do an entire series on the different job roles. I'd like to have sessions on those such as a full session on Functional Consultant and Architect etc. Lastly, thanks so much for this session. I enjoyed it so much. I got so much out of it. If possible, I'd like to attend again and put some more effort into the homework, other than the reading, as during this challenge, my time was stretched between family life changes (daughter going to pre-school) and work challenges.

I think 90-day mentoring challenge is a tremendous source of value, and through the cohorts and assignments, you pointed us in the right direction in both professional and personal life. I'd like to see topics like mentoring others, teamwork and leadership as I feel this would make it easier for everyone to pay it forward.

Thanks, Mark for putting your Heart, Soul & Time into creating the 90 Day Mentoring Challenge. As a veteran of the Dynamics Industry looking to make a meaningful career change the information, structure and guidance around dynamics 365 has been immense and wholly Practical. One piece of feedback would be to perhaps consider the mentoring sessions to be fortnightly as I struggled to complete the homework each week due to family and work commitments. Thanks again Mark and wish you all the success for the next cohort.

This is much needed for me at this time of my career. I would love to see more practical examples of what and how D365 projects were implemented and what challenges were faced. Some real-life examples will be awesome.

This program has really inspired me and kept my momentum high. I find myself constantly taking the opportunity to learn and making more defined choices about the career I want to have. The best thing I learnt was that I can achieve success and freedom while still being the kind of professional and human that I want to be. It's not just for the rare few. All the varied and detailed information forms a picture in the grey area of opportunity in technology. I have learnt valuable things that I wouldn't have searched out on my own, and things that only insiders in Microsoft can tell you.

I'd love a second cohort (or even program!) on career path, going into a bit more direction on the learning paths to improve on your consultant or developer skills. The new Microsoft learning platform might be a good thing to go into detail, if any? The soft skills have been very well covered and I enjoyed this part of the course a lot! Thank you Mark for your time and your gift.

Phenomenal program and content. There is no where else that you can receive the information provided in this mentorship group, especially relevant to working in the Microsoft space. It gave me courage and direction to step forward, in what was just a spark. Before this, I enjoyed learning and working with 365 apps, but I didn't know where to turn, nor did I realize what it would take to make it a career, or if it was even a possibility. This program also contained reality. You're going to get stressed. You're going to work hard. You have to take care of yourself. Everyone does. That really sunk in for me and I'll never forget that slide with the Wilson Churchill story.

The topics you have covered are sufficient in itself. I do however feel that, (no offense) being skeptical about selecting a technology the way you suggested (during cohort 5) for my future. I should also mention that, I am on the same boat of folks who are unable to select the one which tickles there bone and I am ready to stick with it for next 5-10 years.

I love the material you have created in this course, sharing your entire courier knowledge and experience with us. Entire course is very inspiring and clearer my mind, now I am very focus and I know what I can do with my carrier.

I thoroughly enjoyed cohort 4 and 5, I would like if you can add some more content around those area that would be really helpful.

This challenge was very helpful to me, as it provided me a clear path going forward. Before I joined this challenge I wasn't really sure if the path that I had set out, was the right one. But as the challenge progressed a lot of stuff that I already made up my mind about, was being confirmed. That was a sign for me that I'm on the correct path. What I found extra useful is the recommended book reading list. After this challenge it becomes clear that an (aspiring) Business Applications Professional should master both the hard an the soft skills. So it isn't only the bits and bytes. The recommended books deliver a tremendous contribution at realizing that goal. Are there any topics that weren't covered? i have to say that all thinkable covers were covered. So nothing to add here. Summarized: if you want to be a well-rounded BizApps Pro this challenge is a must!

With roles a few details can be added. For example of a Functional consultant: What exams or certifications How someone new to d365 can target it How a developer can target it. Please also consider adding few slides very specifically for people new to d365 on how they can secure first roles and also keep learning (can be internship, exam etc). With me when I was looking for first role I read your blog post suggesting to do certifications and Neil Benson suggest in a post answer 100 questions on forums. Thank you Mark.

I loved the experience and am still working on a ton of takeaways from each Cohort. Additional topics are hard to think of considering what we covered and nothing is coming to mind as I am completing this form to be very honest.

This challenge is a MUST if you are serious about your BizApps career. A lot of experience and knowledge was transferred, which we would normally not have learned if we followed the traditional learning route. But the real eye-opener was the fact that Mark did not attend a university, but was still able to climb the ladder of success, through hard work and dedication. If he can do it, I can do it as well. Thanks Mark for this amazing experience.

Mark is a master at condensing massive amounts of his hard-earned knowledge and experience into bite sized chunks. Even for someone who’s been involved in our industry for many years the content was really thought provoking.

The training was a blast! I'm new to the Microsoft industry and this provided me with a lot of insight into the working of Microsoft, the vast amount of products offered (of which I struggled with what to start learning first!) and provided me with a path to grow my career and myself. I'd like to see more around the structure of presenting on videos, and how to put forward the most information out of a short period of time i.e. a 3 min vid as I struggle with that!

I wish that when I started my career, I had the perspective and high-level understanding that this course provided! This mentorship program easily constitutes the best and most comprehensive "Intro to a Career in Microsoft Business Apps" that I've come across. I can tell that you have a passion for improving the community and I appreciate your willingness to share your knowledge! I can't really think of any other topics I'd add. I thought the whole course was very insightful, so thank you very much!

The 90-day mentoring challenge is an absolute must for anyone working in Microsoft business applications who wants to excel in their career. I found the material informative and thought-provoking. The assignments also pushed me to make some difficult decisions and step outside of my comfort zone. Mark encourages interactivity within the group, so you find yourself contributing to the community and making connections more and more throughout the duration. I feel I now have the direction, confidence, and toolset, required to make a difference in both my career and in the community.

These last few days were an eye-opener. I learned so many things about how to improve my skills, my knowledge, my personal brand, about MS hierarchy and so on. Thanks a lot, Mark for such opportunity and I hope I would be able to max out of this.

The course opened up my thinking to how I can control and shape my career, as someone who up until has never had a career plan and just jumped from one thing to another this has had a profound effect. The material covered in the 90 days will last a lifetime and has given me lots to work on to develop myself.

I loved it!! There is so much more to this business than the technical knowledge. I don't have the experience in big Dynamics projects so Mark's perspective and knowledge were essential for me. I love the opportunity to interact together with the group, seeing how they processed it from there own unique background. It was a great choice of topics for this program. I would like to have had more information on the last Cohort. For those of us that lack experience working on a team with all the different pieces, it would be helpful to know those positions a little bit deeper.

Very good program to get in touch with relevant topics which are very important for the own career path.

When I saw Mark was offering the 90 Day Mentoring Challenge, I jumped at the chance. Mark has given so much insightful, useful and actionable information and advice throughout the challenge. It's been a fantastic opportunity to learn from his years of experience, and from fellow attendees within the challenge. I wouldn't hesitate this to anyone regardless of where they are in their career, but especially for those working on what their next challenge should be.

The challenge has been amazing and the value in what has been shared as part of it is phenomenal. The presentation, assignments, resources, and the access to Mark, really provide a huge boost for anyone in the Business Applications space. This may have been 90-days, but the lessons and value will continues for a long time afterwards. Thanks Mark! I think a ""personal skills"" topic would be amazing - covering things such as speaking, imposter syndrome, building confidence etc. I know some of it has been done, and some of the reading covers elements as well, but it would be great to spend some time on it.

This 90-day Mentoring Challenge was not a challenge, but a great opportunity to learn how to transform my technical skills to business skills, it even helped me to make a decision to change my career from a Technical Consultant to a Functional.

The challenge brought together a collection of topics that at various points in my career I've thought about independently, but never together as a complete package. Having it all together on a regular cadence helped hold me accountable to myself to stop, look at the bigger picture and make some attainable goals that will be based on my own personal brand going forward. Topic wise; I can't think of anything else, other than doing deeper dives on Personal Branding and other success stories from other folks. Which I actually think your Podcast covers quite well. I know its a huge demand on your time to pull all of this together, I would be curious to see even a 6 month check in from folks afterwards to see how people are doing and what changes they have implemented. One piece of feedback on the earlier Cohorts with the reading assignments, maybe highlight 1 of the books as being the preferred choice to read before the next cohort. I got through a couple of the books, but I have a long list of books on my To-Read list. Also, don't read Talk like Ted right before you are about to give a presentation like I did at CRMUG Summit, because you'll question everything you have in your slide deck and want to rewrite the whole thing.
