As a parent the enjoyment in his eyes was the best part to see.

Mason thoroughly enjoyed his day at the Easter masterclass. The session was really well set out to keep all of the children engaged and included for the whole session. Mason has come away with a new desire to work on his tackling and not just focusing on passing and foot work wich just goes to show how well Ben and the team were able to deliver the message that players need to work on all aspects of their game and not just the bits they like. This masterclass session has left Mason wanting to learn more. He really enjoyed his rugby before the session and wants to come back for more already. As a parent the enjoyment in his eyes was the best part to see. I would recommend these sessions to players of all levels as they are fun, engaging, informative and a great way to reinforce the principles of great basics making good players.

Elsa came into this masterclass as a new player with only the current season behind her. This was a great session that emphasised the importance of continually developing and improving her defensive and attacking skills. She enjoyed sidestepping and getting around the defender, as well as learning more about every part of the tackle: driving your legs, dropping to a certain height and completing the tackle. She had a great time.

Another outstanding Masterclass!

Austin has been apart of the Squad for three seasons, attended two Masterclass sessions this year and it’s obvious that the formula works! Through clear and engaging instruction by the team, the session gives an opportunity to build on fundamentals whilst encouraging the players to take risks and try new skills. Whether your young athlete is aiming for rugby stardom or just wants to get better in a safe, fun environment, you won’t go far wrong joining the academy. Thanks again to Ben, Ffion and the whole team for yet another outstanding Masterclass.

Liberty has asked to come back for next masterclass!

Liberty really enjoyed the first ever girls summer masterclass. She was very nervous before the session. These nerves soon disappeared once she was on the pitch with Ben and Ffion. I could see how comfortable Liberty was and how the feedback she was getting was instantly improving her performance as she went through the session. Harry has been through a fair few rugby camps over the years, but Ben’s rugby masterclass felt entirely different. In the best way!

Harry has been through a fair few rugby camps over the years, but Ben’s rugby masterclass felt entirely different. In the best way, it was harder and more focused, with next level coaching delivered by Ben and the team. As soon we arrived, the setup felt a level up, with lots of thought, effort and a sense of theatre in place. Full facilities, and even the changing room set up was run like a real team. He came away buzzing, then exhausted, fell asleep in the car but now in matches I can see he's more thoughtful in what he's doing in game situations, taking some of the key learnings onboard and applying them.

A STANDOUT class compared to some other camps we’ve attended in the past!

Noah’s confidence has grown after just 1 day at your Masterclass in Chiswick this Summer! He was buzzing! Thoroughly enjoyed your session. The group size was perfect for him to have more attentive and intentional feedback on areas to improve. We will defo be booking again and hope for longer sessions over a week during the holidays. Ben and the team created an environment where the boys built a quick rapport with each other. I would highly recommend Bens Masterclass for anyone who is looking for the benefits afforded by having your child be trained by a true professional in his field! You will not find a better tackling/contact set up, pro level!

This was Patrick's second Masterclass session with Ben and the other professional player/coaches. Pat has been wanting more from his own attacking play, and from both of the days with Ben and crew, he has certainly stepped up this side of the game on match days! You will not find a better tackling/contact set up, pro level! In Patrick's own words, he said: "on Masterclass days, you're with other players that want to get better". The continuity of the drills and matches have flowed perfectly both times, no hanging around at all. It's by far the best set up, equipment and most of all a fantastic combined knowledge of the game being taught! We'll see you on the next one, Pat & Ryan.

He came away from the RTA with new skills and improved tackling

Tom's rugby journey has been a good one and he's taken to it like a duck to water. He came away from the RTA with new skills and improved tackling which was good to begin with. Tom really enjoyed the session and found the coaches easy to understand and get along with so he would definitely do another one at a later date. Really fun and enjoyable day of rugby thanks to all the RTA team

I cannot recommend the Masterclass, and Academy enough for how Ben and the team have supported Austin’s want to improve.

Austin has been a member of the academy for the last two seasons and has continued to grow in ability, confidence and love of the game. We attended our first Masterclass this month and the programming and coaching through the session was clear, well thought out and intended to improve the players - it does just that! The session covered footwork, tackling, rucking, communication, maintaining position and how to manipulate space in game scenarios but all the coaching was delivered at a fun and engaging level. I cannot recommend the Masterclass and Academy enough for how Ben and the team have supported Austin’s want to improve. Thanks team, see you at the next Masterclass!

Rugby is my son's passion and he loves going to camps where every child is as focused and keen to improve as him. Ben and Ffion create that atmosphere. They are highly focused, incredibly skilled, but make the sessions fun. I cannot recommend The Rugby Trainer highly enough. Every session is brilliant. The camps are excellent.

An outstanding and incredibly professional rugby training camp. Despite carrying a broken finger, Max was able to join in the majority of drills, carefully monitored by Ben and Ffion. Max really benefited from the Alternative training methods, that the RT Academy provide. Diversity is so important for this stage of his rugby development, adding to what he learns at school and club. It’s the finer detail that Ben and his team of coaches offer, gleaned from playing and training at an elite level that makes all the difference. I’m confident that the enhanced skills training Max will learn from the academy will add significantly to his game. I can’t recommend The RT academy highly enough! We’ll most certainly be back for more !

Our son is confident in rugby but with Ben and Ffion he received some high level coaching with good tips and coaching points to help him improve. He absolutely loved the Easter session at Chiswick RFC “ he said it was one of his best rugby sessions ever” and I would recommend the RTA to both beginners and more experienced players.

This was Jake's first Masterclass session with Ben and Ffion and he absolutely loved it and gave it 10/10! I saw immediate growth in his confidence during the session and also later on that same day with his club's Thursday night training session. We have a couple of the RTA guides already and he enjoys the short, sharp, skills focussed sessions with me in the park and we're all set to sign up to the squad to compound his growth and enjoyment of the sport. Big thanks to Ben, Ffion and the rest of the coaches.

The masterclass is a really good place to identify some of those things to work on

Keian is already a fairly competent player but as he wants to play professionally one day, we encourage him to continuously work on his skills, game knowledge, fitness etc. There is always something to improve, something that could be better. The masterclass is a really good place to identify some of those things to work on - the small group sizes allow the coaches to spot things that would be missed in a larger group or at their usual club training sessions, and allows time to teach corrections to individuals and monitor progress throughout the rest of the session, providing further guidance when necessary. Keian felt a benefit in many areas but particularly felt improvement in putting more power into a tackle and maintaining strength and dominance in contact. We also felt it gave him the opportunity as a 10 to practice his role as one of the main voices on the pitch guiding his team through attacking play and organising defence with players he didn’t know, an important skill if they ever get called up to play for their county etc.
