Wall of love for Bob's Donuts

Seriously these are the best donuts you will ever have! The trick is to order whatever is fresh. They are constantly making new donuts and you can ask what is the freshest. Sometimes they are still warm. The maple is a particularly good flavor and the glaze is always a classic. My husband and I live in the city and get donuts here regularly. When my dad came to visit, we came three times in two days because he loved them so much. The shop is open 24 hours and it is so cheap! Definitely worth it! Pictures are special rainbow glaze donuts they made for pride.

I was never a doughnut fan. I find glaze and frosting too sweet. Bob's is nothing like those monstrosities. The dough is light and fluffy and most doughnuts aren't heavily glazed. I personally love the doughnut holes, especially when they're super fresh.

Smaller than expected pastry shop. A must see if you are nearby. Famous for their giant donut challenge. I tried the glazed and chocolate glazed which were very fluffy and not over sweet. My husband tried the jam/jelly filled glazed donut which was also a hit. It's easy to get to by taking the California St cable car to the end new Van Ness then it's just two blocks away.

Obe of the "must-go" places in SF. I think you cannot say you've been there wo getting some REAL donnuts and cakes. It would be great to have more coffe options, but seems worth.

This is the donut spot! I like to judge a place by the line and this line is always out the door. The donuts are always fresh and the variety keeps me coming back. Make sure to get an apple juice or milk because you won't be able to put these donuts down.

I absolutely loved this place. I rarely will gush over any business, but I was obsessed with this business while I was in town. Hands down the best donuts I've ever had. The Apple Fritters were massive, every donut was fresh, the variety was amazing, the coffee is cheap, the workers were incredibly chill, and the place is open 24 hours. Absolutely no complaints. The place hasn't been updated in decades and it's still perfect. I must have tried everything on the menu. Everything is delicious. Check them out!

While everyone recognizes a Tiffany blue box, I think a Bob’s pink box goes further ;) A 24/7 institution of fluffy, sweet, and creative goodness. My guilty pleasure is the blueberry cake donuts. Check back often - there are typically 1 or 2 diff flavors the bakers are “testing out” like the strawberry and matcha ones below!

At my age, don't eat donuts often, but when I do I love to go to Bob's. I like both locations, but the one on Baker is closer to where I stay when I am in SF. Great Donuts.

Bob's Donuts is a "San Francisco Institution of Higher Donutery!!" This morning, I was having a conversation with someone in line (don't worry, the line is quick..) and I was mentioning how SPOILED Rotten I feel; because Bob's is opening up new locations that are NOT in San Francisco. "We Natives NEED things that are just OURS!!" I guess I will have to share with the other less fortunate donut eaters around The Bay Area, but I don't like it!! I saw EVERYONE, and they Mama RUNNING for the Bacon Donuts; but I'm there for "The World's BEST Apple Fritters!!"

If there was ever a San Francisco Landmark for being part of the rich Bay Area History and as the best, above all else~ Then nothing compares to the extraordinary excellence of Bob's Donut and Pastry Shop. Almost hidden away, it is a purloined gem, obscured by the flashing lights by night, into the dawn and all day 24hrs~ Donut's don't need no sleep. Besides the crisp & lavish texture and the size which, they also have Monster Sized Megalithic Donut's, the taste is immediate and phenomenal. The shops, stores and bars are fun to browse during the day along the Northern end of Polk St. As well as many other great sites, as it is close to the Marina, North Beach and the famous Lombard St. Bob's Donut & Pastry Shop is a must!!! (Parking in San Francisco can be tricky, never leave valuables in plain site, always read the signs and have a light but warm jacket or hoodie as the weather can change quickly and always be aware of your surroundings. I would highly recommend getting donuts from Bob's Donuts and Pastries. We arrived to find a line out the door! Must be good?! Small shop with counter and table seating, was perfect. I requested hot fresh made chocolate glazed, and tried the crumb donut. They were both fantastic. My favorite was the crumb donut, it's a must if you stop at Bob's.

Best 🍩 in town! This is coming from a San Bruno native who was all about her 24 Hour Rolling Pin donuts and would GO nuts every time I passed through 101 to 280 through 380 or any reason through BruNO! Now, I never have to leave my hill to see my family unless it's to take BART to Tanforan or Target and even Big 5!

Late night snack indulgence after event and dinner! Filled long John was amazing! They don't have sit down, take away only but worth stopping in! Can tell it is a neighborhood favorite!

Bob’s is a San Francisco institution. Going strong in lower Nob Hill! The neighborhood folks like me have always had Bob’s Donuts as a source for sweets. The counter person often lives nearby. Makes sense if you’re making donuts in the dead of night. Hot, freshly fried, Bob’s posts info on Facebook to let their fans know when the donuts are coming out. Glazed, apple fritters, cake, cinnamon roll, muffins. You name it, Bob’s got ‘um. They had pumpkin buttermilk donuts at Halloween into Thanksgiving. Delicious! Get your Bob’s gear if you’re a fan. Cold milk or coffee is also sold in the shop. Perfect pairings like that don’t happen everywhere. Lucky that Bob’s is carrying on. Give them your love and support when you pass by, will you?

Best circle donut with some super yummy white icing on the top and chocolate sprinkles on the top. 10 out of 10. Delicious. Staff is always very nice and helpful. Especially love the young lady that works here, she always brightens my day up with her "always hella happy" self. Plus she always quickly warms up my 🍩 without me having to ask her every god damn time, like some other places/employees do. You da best miss lady! 💓

Best damn donuts you can get! The crumb donut is the one. There are many good ones but that is the one. The huge donut is the size of a cake. Pro Tip: Slice it up and make french toast! You're welcome.

No matter what time you visit, you will always find fresh donuts being made and it’s always worth trying whatever’s fresh. Even in between the donut making everything is amazing and to know that there are lines after midnight sometimes is crazy. I will forever love Bob’s donuts!!!

Admittedly, I don't eat many donuts at my age. But i still remember, when I was young, a poor art student, working the graveyard shift at Kinko's on Stanyan. There are not many places open when you go on lunch working grave. We absolutely loved Bob's. I would go out on deliveries at 3am, and always stop by Bob's. I remember the excitement we all had for these amazing donuts. Treat yourself to a taste of a true old school SF institution after clubbing or for breakfast.

Great place to go and highly recommended. They have the best of hospitality service here. They got a wide selection of donuts to choose and other things. It was late and most pastry shops were closed. I asked them what would you recommend for something special like the kind for Anniversaries,birthdays, or etc. They have this gigantic 🍩 that was huge which is crazy. Highly recommend to all

My absolute favorite for bread pudding. Bread? Here? Nope, yesterday's donuts make up the basis for this culinary coronary killer. Used to take The Kid there after school occasionally and the wonderfully polite ladies behind the counter would always add to my order something just for The Kid. Bob's Donuts is just one of the many reasons I loved (and miss) living in San Francisco.

This place turned my 2 year into an amphetamine riddle sugar zombie with a single donut. She now walks around like Tuco Salamanca just repeating the words, “Tight! Tight!” aggressively and over enthusiastically. Don’t let anyone you love take that first hit… they never come back the same

My family really enjoyed the Crispínes of the outside of the donufhts and softness. 😊Friendly place open 24/7 $13 for the ENORMOUS looked like 1/2 dozen or maybe even whole dozen 🍩

I thought these donuts were delish! Got a glazed raised, maple old fashioned and cinnamon roll. I’d probably skip on the cinnamon roll next time, felt it could use a little more cinnamon and sugar but the dough itself was delicious. Overall highly recommend! The maple and glazed were so so good. And such kind workers. Gave my pup a free donut hole <3 excited to come back!

Thank you Bob's donuts for existing. We ALWAYs end up going here after a party before heading home. I have not had fresher and warmer donuts in my life! They fry it, dip into chocolate and the next minute they're consumed with so much satisfaction.

Great place to swing by after a night out. Always a line wrapped around the building. Delicious donuts. The lady at the register is always such a hoot. She jokes around and tries to upsell drunk people to get more (it’s worked on me a couple times lol)

Yes!!! This place is by far my favorite donut shop. These are not your typical donuts. They get super creative, check out my photos. My favorite is the pumpkin fritter.

We got the apple fritter, s’mores, and chocolate frosted with sprinkles. SO GOOD!!! Don’t miss this place if you’re visiting SF. Eat them while they’re warm! Tiny little hole in the wall place but friendly staff.

Can you believe this place run 24/7? Yes 🍩 nuts!!!! Really goood donuts.Fresh donuts come out 11AM and I forgot the night time. (ask if you want certain flavors and have time for another visit)

Honestly the best service/staff attitude I’ve seen in years. I would never miss this place. Oh, and great doughnuts. Crumb, fritter are my normal fav and they don’t disappoint

These are great donuts! Not oily, perfectly light, great flavor options 10/10. I got the s’mores, chili mango, Oreo, and a regular chocolate glaze at 12am on Monday. Love that I can come get my donut fix whenever I’m in San Francisco.

Always a speedy trip here. Great for a large donut celebration. They always have interesting flavors. Recently raspberry, mango, banana, s’more, and Oreo.The classic like crumb and Apple fritters were great

Bob's donuts are worth waiting in line for! This place is dangerous! The donuts are deeeeliscious!! I live fairly close but try to avoid eating donuts. Tonight freind asked if wanted go there and of course I did. It was very convenient when I went along with someone else ,because it was their idea after all. By the way they had some crazy donut flavors I've never even seen before,such as a thickly chocolate coated donut with a marshmallow in the center. I was there because my friend suggested The giant donut with sprinkles. My boyfriends birthday was the next day. What a novelty. Giant donuts!! Waiting in line there was a delicious aroma un the air. In conclusion, Bob's donut shop is the best! The texture of the donuts is like no other. If you have to eat a donuts,go to Bob's. It was cute there were numerous couples in line. Seems like a great date idea. In closing they don't take cash there bring a credit card and treat yourself!!!

Great donuts, despite being 2 am and a huge rush of partiers behind us, the service was excellent and the donuts were tasty. The best in the city? Maybe not, but still really good!

Awesome local family owned and famous donut shop, seen on Netflix’s Somebody Feed Phil. Apple fritters and maple glazed were divine. Crumb cake donut very sweet. Order online for pickup. No line when we went at 11am Saturday. One person allowed inside at a time. Seedy neighborhood, don’t leave valuables in your car. Beware of panhandling. Awesome otherwise though!

Best donuts ever!--and I've been to **dozens** of donut shops, because I love donuts! The big $10 ones are the SIZE OF A DINNER PLATE!--and they still taste great too! They are great to use in place of a birthday cake.

What an absolute diamond in the big city! Open 24 hrs and serving, you got it,...donuts!!! And damn good ones at that. Stop by and see what is hot and in the window. We got the classic chocolate old fashioned, fruit loop glazed and apple fritter. Absolutely delicious!!! Do not, I repeat, do not walk on by. You WILL regret it.

Believe the hype! The apple fritter is by far my favorite, with a crisp sugar glaze, chewy, tender dough, and plenty of apple chunks. The maple custard bar is a close second. Bob's is always mixing it up, and their specialty donuts are consistently creative and delicious.

If you’re looking to go back in time to old San Francisco, then this is the perfect place! We saw parents bring their kids & grand kids to this place to have their delicious donuts. We couldn’t decide which ones and ended up walking out with six of them - the apple one & one with raspberry jam in the middle were our winners!! Glad we don’t Iive super close to this place, phew!! Definitely will come back

Must visit this place🍩. Well I went for drinks with my friends and while crossing the street I randomly saw this pastry shop and thought to give a try as it was midnight and I was craving badly after seeing all donuts displayed well on shop. I literally ate one donut and again went back to order take out. I literally stand for 20 minutes in line another time for take out. The place was crowded with big line even at 3.30pm at night. Trust me you must try the donuts of this place. If you love chocolate that this place is for you. I ate chocolate, Eclair with custard filled and many other and all are my fav now. This is one of the best donut I had in SF. Totally deserves five star. The place is very clean and they are quick with their service to clear the long line.

This was a San Francisco treat for sure!!! These lady’s were super friendly and the quality of pastries were spot on. The super huge donuts were delicious looking. I will always stop in when I’m visiting the city.. thank you for doing such a great job for your customers :)

The donuts are super awesome. Doesn't matter what you buy. They are all good. But I did have the apple fritter and it was so good. Depending on when you arrive, there may be a line but it moves fast. And sometimes there isn't anyone but you and your appetite!
