Really insightful - This piece by Brandon is great for many reasons. I'm an avid follower of his, and I respect his approach to sales immensely. Inspiration to finding how you can fire on all cylinders right now - Usually, when reading motivational books I'm looking for how do I align myself to the rise and grind to do whatever it takes. The answer Brandon gives in this book is you have to be clear what your goals are and to align yourself with why it's important and to cut out everything that distracts or pushes you away from that goal. Easy to say but he shares his personal story as an entrepreneur and sales leader to authentically live this way and how I can use the same principles and do whatever it takes.

Some highlights for me were the concepts of:
- Once you're reached the top, especially at a young age, stay hungry. The temptation to look the part of success does not serve you well on the floor of your next venture.
- Do physical activity every day. If you want to have the stamina to dedicate 12-18 hour days you have to take care of your body (activity, enough sleep, the right food.)
- Focus on joy in the moment as an internal state instead of happiness, which is fleeting
- We all learn from parental models as examples of what to do or not do in the world. (Ahem, no one needs that much toothpaste -- unless you're about to arrange a creative partnership with a dentist or protest halloween candy.)

Here are some of the questions I asked myself when I read this book to change where I am right now inspired by Whatever It Takes.
- Am I excited to wake up and get to work on my goals? If not, what would i have to change?
- When people try to tell me what I should be doing even though they have never done it themselves, what if I swiped left on the space they get in my life?  Amazon Book Review

Sounded like a steal. The kindle purchase let me read it online. I felt my heart leap and sink at the same time as I realized I learned these lessons from my dad, tried to teach it to my two college sons and had failed. Then I was happy...I ordered 4 hard copies...one for me, even though I had the kindle version, one for a client and 2 for my kiddos.
