Working with Dan, will always be one of the best decisions I made. Like many people, I was blindsided with the news of a corporate restructure and given a severance package. Dan gave me the confidence and perspective I needed to negociate a better package. I would never have thought to negociate if not for Dan. Working with Dan not only brought me a better serverance package, but he helped support my emotional state when my confidence was at such a low. He is a such a genuine and caring person, who is easy to talk with and brings such great perspective and professionalism during such a hard time of life. Thank you Dan!!

Dan is helping many through a tough time in their career. When they are at their lowest, he inspires them, gives confidence, maps out a plan and, most importantly gets them on the path to a good outcome and the next stage of their careers. I highly recommend Dan's pragmatic but empathetic advice if you find your self out of your job under suspect conditions.

I have been following Dan on LinkedIn for over a year now and I make it a point to read and post a comment every time he posts. I find Dan's advice to excellent and very much in alignment with the type of advice I would give. He is extremely knowledgeable and is passionate about his advocacy for employees and those that reach out to Dan to contract for his services. Based on my daily review of his advice and a listening to a number of podcasts that he has been on, I would not hesitate to recommend Dan's services to anyone who feels they have been wrongfully dismissed through a layoff or an unfair PIP. HIs employee advocacy services are so important and I know he will continue to fight for what it right. Dean Wiener Senior Account Executive

I can't say enough good things about Dan and his services! Before actually using Dan, I'd been following his content on Linkedin for about a year. Never thought I'd need to use him, but thank God I knew about him when I was laid off 2 months before having my first child! Talk about stressful! Talk about having your world turned upside down at a time that's supposed to be filled with love and joy from our new addition! Before using Dan, his posts had given me a lot of confidence that I could negotiate for a better severance. That being said, once we started working together officially, his words of encouragement ( I needed quite a few), his constant availability, but most of all his FEVERISH PASSION for helping you get what you deserve is really what helped push me forward. From his coaching and guidance, I was able to 5x my initial severance offer from my former company which was a HUGE blessing. More importantly, I was able to keep my benefits! Which if we didn't have, would have cost us over $30,000 to have our child! Dan is one of the most kind, but firm and real people I know. I look forward to using him for anything else I can in the future!

As someone who is committed to teaching and empowering empathetic leadership and organizational health, Dan Goodman offers food for thought to the other side of the equation. Specifically, what can go wrong and how people (and companies) ultimately suffer if leaders as individuals and organizations as a whole fail to humanize their approach to each and every employee, in every circumstance, whether in negotiations or severance.

Dan is the sea of calm in those moments where our lives are turned upside down when it comes to employment. He provides amazing knowledge, wisdom, skill, and the support someone needs at the emotional and practical level when it is hard for someone to focus. His approach is amazing, and anyone would be lucky to have him in your corner.

I hired Dan to consult my recruiting business, and I was blown away by his knowledge, passion, and genuine care for people. Since then, he has been my "go to" person I refer people to when they're treated unfairly by their employer. Most are lost and have no idea how to handle these types of situations. He constantly makes me look good. Everybody says the same thing, which is that Dan is amazing, how much he has helped them, and that they feel 100 times better after speaking to him.

I’ve witnessed countless people Dan has helped surpass even their wildest expectations in regards to increased severance compensation. Dan is a massive advocate of his clients and knows how to get them what they deserve. He’s no pushover and is the type of support system a person doesn’t typically get that can change a negative outcome into a fair one. Empathetic at his core, he’s somebody that loves helping his clients.

I first met Dan through LinkedIn in 2022. He was sharing real-life stories of how he was helping others navigate unfair pay practices, commission disputes, wrongful terminations, and negotiating severance agreements. Luckily, I've never had to deal with any of the above, however, if I did - Dan would be my first call.

Dan is the real deal. Extremely knowledgeable in his field. More importantly, he is passionate about helping employees when they get significantly wronged by their employer. Great guy to have in your corner. His team is awesome as well. Highly recommend.

Dan is the best! Worked with him this past year after being laid off and he helped increase my severance from 12k to over 60k. I knew I was being ripped off and taken advantage of by my company but didn't know what to do until I reached out to Dan. Dan immediately put me at ease and confidently supported me throughout the whole process as we kindly outlined to my employer why they should do the right thing and pay me what I was owed. Not only is Dan incredibly knowledgeable in employment issues but he's also so down to earth and funny. Can't say enough good things about my experience with Dan.

I utilized Dan's consulting and advocacy services during an extremely stressful time after an unjustified termination by my employer who refused to negotiate. Through almost daily touchbases with Dan, I found solace in the process. He is a true employee champion and will guide you over the employer landmines and scare tactics safely.

Dan Goodman fighting the good fight! IF you find yourself in this situation I can't stress enough to reach out to someone who can give you council, your employer can't force your hand on any decisions immediately. YOU HAVE RIGHTS. Fight for yourself.

Is sales compensation more or less "seller-friendly" now? A seller I connected with here is having his comp messed with by a new CFO, reassigning accounts so commission isn't paid out, retroactive comp plan changes to terms/achievement, 90% attainment cliff before any commissions are paid, etc. Another I know of had the "windfall" or "bluebird" clause in his comp plan pulled three times at one company. Following Dan Goodman here has opened my eyes and ears - hearing more about stories like these. My take is as the number of salespeople increase - specifically this trend in software sales as the number of software salespeople has exploded - the worse the comp will be and the more "tricks" like above will be used to improve margins at struggling companies. But what's your take? Especially those that have been in sales 10+ years, are you seeing a trend?

Here's a message I sent Dan in mid 2023: "Hi Dan, I love and appreciate your posts. I've gone through a couple employers that were unethical enough that I had to seek out some counsel. I stood up for myself and ethics and wouldnt compromise my integrity. I wish I'd seen your posts back then so I knew I wasn't alone, because often going to friends wouldn't be helpful. Since I've been through some things, I know how valuable your posts are and really appreciate it what you're doing for everyone by posting. Wish you all the success in the world and more! Thanks" Several months after sending this, I was faced with a severance offer to leave my position. I knew Dan's value having been through some issues before where I needed counsel. I reached out to Dan to get some advice and confirmation I was taking the right steps, along with good advice that kept me from hiring a lawyer. I'd highly recommend hiring Dan for a consultation before attempting to hire legal counsel. He has a lot of wisdom and can help you navigate whatever situation you are in. If you do need legal counsel, he'll recommend it but chances are you won't need it.

IF you are not connected with Dan Goodman then you should be........... He is a Gem of a Human Being. Helps employees protect themselves, gives them confidence to go after what is rightfully theirs, at a time when they may be the most vulnerable they have ever been. He recently advised a dear friend of mine after they were concerned they were going to be unfairly terminated or PIP'd (which actually happened) Dan took his time advising her with an uncommon mix of Empathy and Truthfulness about what they were probably facing. Thank you Dan for being a beacon of light in a time when many salespeople find themselves in the darkness.

Did you see the Denver Broncos asked Russell Wilson to rework his contract or they will sit him? Not legal and it will have huge impacts.

This isn't too different from what many companies do to their employees but it has much less fanfare.

If you are in this position, Dan Goodman, Dan Goodman Employment Advisory is who you need to contact.

Russ has the NFLPA going to bat for him, Denver will lose on free agents wanting to sign there with how this was handled.

Companies don't want to have that type of reputation but many still treat employees in this manner.

Talk to Dan 1st. Don't go it alone.
