When I first approached Darius, I was struggling to complete a sentence, let alone trust my own creative instincts or sing without wincing at my own voice. With remarkable patience, he guided me through those early sessions until the blocks began to dissolve, and he met each obstacle that followed with insight and resources that genuinely delivered. He unlocked a desire to create art and never stop. Since then, I've produced a feature film, appeared as a podcast guest, and come to speak with a confidence I once thought was out of reach. Working with Darius was such a special part of preparing for my wedding. I wanted to surprise my now husband by singing to him on our wedding day, but I was incredibly nervous and honestly wasn’t sure I could pull it off! Darius helped me prepare not only vocally, but mentally and emotionally too. We worked together for months and he gave me the tools and confidence to calm my nerves, trust my voice, and feel comfortable performing such a meaningful song in front of literally everyone I know love. On top of the vocal coaching, he also helped produce the music for my performance, making the entire experience feel so personalized and special. Having his guidance throughout the process made something that initially felt terrifying feel exciting and actually achievable. Being able to surprise my husband and sing to him on our wedding day is a memory I will cherish forever, and I truly couldn’t have done it without his help. The part I find most helpful about working with Darius was how encouraging he is. In a similar note, Darius has so much positive energy, that he is just such a pleasure to work with. I recently got remarried and I sang three songs at the wedding; Darius's encouragement was a strong reason why I felt so confident doing so.

I've only had the pleasure of taking a few vocal lessons with Darius over the years. It's only been a few because he is so thorough and I've left each lesson with so much to work on with clear instrunction and loads of inspiration. Darius beams positive and uplifting energy and really has a way of making you feel capable of pushing beyond your limits. Extremely knowledgable, approachable, and just a down right great guy to spend time with. Couldn't reccommend Darius enough!!!!!!

When was I looking for a vocal coach, Darius was assigned to me through the company that he worked for. When we started, instead of just assigning me standard vocal lessons, Darius took the time to first talk with me about what my goals were. From there he designed our lessons based around our goals. I'm a singer songwriter, so we actually incorporated vocal techniques into my original music. That approach allowed me to better understand techniques such as distinguishing head voice, from chest voice, falsetto, etc, within my own songs.. It also allowed me to have a better understanding of my breathing during different parts of my original music. Basically, immediate application, which I thought was a very cool approach! I highly recommend Darius for vocal coaching and vocal lessons. Two thumbs up!

I was working to improve my breathing technique and my vocals warmups! Before I would sing, I would always due to warm-up and techniques he showed me and they worked just fine! I would tell people who are willing to work with him that he can help you get to the next level will help you sing more confidently and if anybody is looking to sing more professionally, I would highly recommend Darius. He does not only a great singer but he’s also a great teacher.
