People Must Change I really enjoyed reading this book because it brings a real life connection to mathematics education. While I was in the Marine Corps I used mathematical reasoning every day and in the field I used a data table to give the directions to field artillery rounds to hit the designated target. As the book points out, delivering data analysis insights is hard work. In education we use data collection and analysis as part of the school accreditation process. This book brings the relevance of mathematics and helps to provide overwhelming evidence that explains the purpose of mathematics. Data in education and in business is all about the people. The book provided a valuable truthful lesson that when you use data the end result is that people within the organization must change in order to gain the benefits of data insights.
