Wall of love for GJP Elite
I'm lucky enough to have surrounded myself with great & talented people over the years.
One of those people is Gabriel Jones, the founder of GJP Elite.
Though he would agree that we somewhat clashed during our 20s.
I was pig-headed, stubborn and opinionated and would rarely if ever say 'I was wrong' (I'll let Gabs choose his own descriptors 😅), and this affected all relationships in my life, including those at work.
Gabs wrote in his most recent newsletter 'Ask my friends what it was like to argue with me 10 years ago and I’d cringe at the responses. I take a great deal of comfort now looking at how far I’ve come (even though I might occasionally get dragged back into a tasty debate) - it’s not about ‘being right’ for me anymore'.
We have both been on similar journey's of growth & discovery and our personal & professional relationships have flourished accordingly.
I've continued my journey at Mejuicer, and now Joe Roberts-Walker and I have developed a relationship whereby we can have direct, honest conversations with diplomacy & compromise (though we may have lapses on odd occasions 🤺 )
And if any of the above sounds like you, trust me when I say you will improve your quality of life if you explore your behaviour and challenge yourself to change for the better.
