# Blank tweet profile picture

> Older X imports can show a blank avatar. Delete the post and import it again.

Some X posts on your Wall of Love or in Import show a blank profile picture. This usually affects posts imported before Testimonial started saving profile pictures to its own storage.

Open the space where the post appears and go to **Import** in the sidebar.

## Why the picture is blank

When you import an X post, Testimonial stores the author’s profile picture. For posts imported before February 2021, we saved X’s link instead of keeping a copy.

X does not keep a history of profile pictures. If the author changes their picture after you import the post, the old URL can stop working and the Wall of Love shows a blank avatar.

**Note:** Since February 2021, new imports download the profile picture into Testimonial storage when you add a post, so it keeps displaying even if the author updates their picture on X.

## Fix a blank profile picture

1. Open the space and click **Import** in the sidebar.

2. Find the X post with the missing profile picture.

3. Click the 3-dot button on the post card and select **Delete**.

4. Click **Import** at the top of the page, choose **Twitter / X**, and open the **Import from X** modal.

5. Paste the post URL in the **X post URL** field. Use a link like [`https://x.com/username/status/post-id`](https://x.com/username/status/post-id).

6. If the post was on your Wall of Love before, keep **Add to my Wall of Love** checked. Click **Add** to import the post again.

**Note:** Re-importing saves the author’s profile picture to Testimonial storage so it displays correctly going forward.

## Tips

## New imports are already protected

Posts you import today automatically save the profile picture. Use the delete-and-reimport steps only for older posts that still show a blank avatar.

## Use a valid post URL

The import modal accepts links from `x.com` or `twitter.com` that include `/status/` in the path. Profile or timeline URLs will not work.

## Delete before you re-add

If you try to import a post that is still in the space, Testimonial shows a message that the post is already added. Delete the old copy first, then import it again.
