# Delete a space

> Permanently delete a Space from your Dashboard: open the card menu, confirm with your space ID, and remove all testimonials.

This article explains how to permanently delete a Space from your Testimonial.to account. Use it when you want to remove a Space you no longer need and free up a slot on your plan.

Account owners can delete Spaces from the [Dashboard](https://testimonial.to/dashboard). If you were invited as a Space client, you will not see the delete option—ask the account owner to remove the Space instead.

---

## How it works

Deleting a Space removes that Space from your account along with all testimonials, tags, and related data stored in that Space. Testimonial.to also clears any custom domain mapping, alias ID, and uploaded files tied to the Space.

To prevent accidental deletion, you must type the exact **space id** shown in the confirmation dialog. When the ID matches, click **Confirm delete** and the Space is removed immediately. This action cannot be undone.

---

## Before you start

- You need access as the **account owner** on the Dashboard—not as an invited Space client for that Space.

- Know which Space you want to remove. You will need its **space id** (shown in bold in the delete confirmation dialog).

- Deleting is available on all plans; no upgrade is required to use this option.

**Warning:** Deletion is permanent. Once a Space is deleted, all testimonials in that Space are gone forever and cannot be recovered.

## Delete a space

1. Open the [Dashboard](https://testimonial.to/dashboard) and find the Space card you want to remove. Hover over the card, then click the **⋯** options button in the top-right corner of the card (labeled **Open options** for screen readers).

2. Select **Delete the space** from the dropdown menu.

3. In the **Delete this space** dialog, read the warning, then type your **space id** exactly as shown in bold next to **Type your space id** … **to confirm**. If the ID does not match, you will see an error and the Space will not be deleted.

4. Click **Confirm delete**. When deletion succeeds, you will see a confirmation message and the Space disappears from your Dashboard.

## Tips, edge cases, and related links

## Options menu only appears on hover

The **⋯** button on each Space card is hidden until you hover over the card. If you do not see it, move your cursor over the Space card first.

## Invited Space clients cannot delete

Users invited with Space-level access (Space clients) do not see **Delete the space** or **Duplicate the space** in the card menu. Only the account owner can delete the Space.

## Already disabled spaces

**Disable the space** is no longer available on active space cards. If a space is already disabled, you can still choose **Activate the space** from the card menu. To free a plan slot when canceling or downgrading, delete extras in the **Downgrade Gate**—see [How to downgrade or cancel a plan](https://help.testimonial.to/en/articles/6892055-how-to-downgrade-or-cancel-a-plan).

## Billing and custom domains

If you pay for extra Spaces on a metered plan, deleting a Space may update your usage reporting. Any custom domain connected to the Space is removed when the Space is deleted.

## No undo

There is no way to restore a deleted Space or its testimonials. Double-check the Space name and ID before you confirm.
