# Webhook

> Send create, like, unlike, and delete events to your URL. Available on Ultimate or Ultimate+.

Webhooks send real-time event notifications from Testimonial to a URL you configure. Use them to sync data or trigger actions in other apps.

**Note:** Webhooks are available on the **Ultimate** or **Ultimate+** plan.

## Set up a webhook

1.  Open the Space and go to **Automation**.
    
2.  Click **Webhook**.

## What a webhook includes

-   A URL you configure. Testimonial posts the event to this URL.
    
-   One or more events posted to that URL.
    
-   A secret key you can use to verify the payload was sent by [testimonial.to](http://testimonial.to/).
    

When a webhook fires, Testimonial sends a **POST** request to your URL with a JSON payload for that event type.

## Events

You can send a webhook on these events:

-   **create** — a testimonial is created
    
-   **like** — a testimonial is liked
    
-   **unlike** — a testimonial is unliked
    
-   **delete** — a testimonial is deleted

## Verify the webhook signature

Each webhook event is signed with a Hash-based Message Authentication Code (HMAC) using the webhook secret key.

The HMAC-SHA1 algorithm generates the payload signature. Each request includes the signature in the `X-Testimonial-Signature` header.
