One more thing, I’ve always had a few open-source projects in mind to contribute to. My master’s thesis also focused on contributing to open-source projects and optimizing pull requests to get them accepted, but I never found the right time to get started.

About a month ago, I had the opportunity to speak at an event organized by Imagine Foundation e.V. and hosted by N26.
We shared our stories as part of the StudentAirliftAfghanistan program-stories about the sudden loss of access to education, and the long, uncertain journey of starting over in a new country.
As I spoke about what had happened-how university doors were suddenly closed, how lives built on hope and study were disrupted-I couldn’t hold back my emotions. My voice broke, and so did many hearts in the audience. The room fell silent, and then tears followed. It was a moment I will never forget.
That day reminded me of something powerful: humanity is still alive. People listened-not just with their ears, but with their hearts. They saw our struggle, but also our strength.
To everyone who continues to stand for the right to education-especially for those who are often forgotten-thank you. You give us hope. 💛

Today, I’m honored to be part of Imagine Foundation e.V. as a volunteer career coach, helping talents from across the globe prepare for meaningful careers in Europe. 🌍✨
Imagine is a Berlin-based non-profit with one mission: unlocking opportunities for driven individuals, no matter their passport. Over 10,000 trained, 2,500 graduates, and 700+ already working across Europe — and counting.
It’s been truly fulfilling to sit across from candidates in one-on-one sessions, reviewing their CVs, listening to their stories, and sharing everything I’ve learned through my own journey. Sometimes, all someone needs is a bit of guidance and belief from someone who’s walked the path.

It’s been a month since I started volunteering at Imagine Foundation e.V. !
At Imagine we focus on supporting skilled tech talent from around the world as they plan their next steps in Europe. We help them reflect on their strengths, grow through feedback, and prepare for the job market.
As a volunteer, I’ve connected with 10+ professionals, supporting them in building their CVs and LinkedIn profiles. I’ve also picked up a few ideas to improve my own professional brand. It’s definitely been a two-way learning process!
