I really enjoyed the reflective exercise (lifeline) at the beginning. It was interesting to me that most of my lifeline events were education/career focused. This really stood out to me and made me reflect a bit on what I want for the future, and how I don’t want to be so dependent on traditional societal outputs.

I've been using Shimmer (ADHD coaching) for a while so when I heard they were launching a new free app for ADHD, I immediately joined to beta test. Indy went beyond my expectations. I’ve tried so many apps that are lengthy or another to-do list. I really like how Indy summarizes things; I put a billion things down and then it helps me zoom out and say ā€œoh, I wanna focus on thisā€. It's been extremely clarifying.

I'm a Shimmer ADHD Coach & I’ve already recommended Indy to all my clients. It gives them more tools, especially in between sessions. That’s where things usually fall apart, and this helps bridge that gap. So many ADHD tools tell you what to do, like when people say, ā€˜just breathe.’ It only clicks when someone walks you through how to do it: hand on your chest, hand on your belly... Indy is that for behavior change. It doesn’t just say ā€˜set goals’ or ā€˜plan your day’, it walks you through how to think about your week, how to break things down, how to be kinder to yourself while still moving forward. That ā€˜how’ piece is what makes it so powerful for my clients and for me.

I’ve tried so many apps, but Indy is the first one that actually helps me prioritize instead of just dumping more on my list. I can brain-dump everything, and it narrows it down to the three things that really matter so I don’t just feel scattered all day. I love that Indy is structured but not too structured — I can start a morning check-in, get distracted, finish it at 1pm and it still works. If I miss a day it doesn’t shame me, but somehow I’ve been more consistent with it than anything else I’ve tried. My brain hates categorizing but loves looking at things categorized, and Indy does that for me. I just dump everything in, and it sorts my wins and goals into ADHD-friendly life areas like day-to-day, self-care, and health so I can actually see where my energy is going.

Indy is retraining myself on how I organize myself. It’s kind of like an accountability partner, but with myself. It's like i’m talking to my reflection in the mirror: I’m the one doing the work and the thinking. Nobody is telling me what to do. I’m telling me what to do Since starting, I've already found myself operating differently even when I'm not using Indy. The questions Indy prompts me with like "what can get in the way here", have carried over to other areas of my life. It's amazing!

Being able to talk through really challenging things without feeling like I’m putting that emotional weight on someone else was really impactful, and then seeing my accomplishments reflected back to me.

I'm an ADHD coach, and I was just on a coaching call with someone who feels like she’s not accomplishing anything. For clients like her, having a tool like this where you can reflect, talk it out, and then actually see what you did, could be incredible!

I’m a project manager, so I’m used to Gantt charts and identifying blockers; but I never apply that to my personal life. Indy’s weekly strategy actually helps me do that: what can get in the way, how to plan for it. I really like that it guides you through it. Definitely try it out!

Since starting Indy, I was able to knock a couple of things off my to-do list that I’ve literally had sitting there for months. I use it every morning and night. In the morning, it helps me prioritize by honing in on the very specific things I’ll feel best about accomplishing that day. At night, it helps me celebrate small or big wins in a way I haven’t been very good at reflecting on in my journey.

I thought it was going to be just like every other app: a checklist with notifications. But it’s actually a lot deeper than that. It makes you think and rethink your strategy. And you can definitely tell the app understands ADHD people. For example, the little wins and insights that are pulled out feel really nice. It’s like a small pep talk when you’re stressed or anxious.

Indy help me organize my thoughts, provides a little more structure. I like how Indy rewards small wins, make small progress towards a bigger goal, rather than having a big goal in your head that’s always lingering there, or having no direction to it.
