Just Right Reader serves students all across the country with books that are customized to meet a studentโs reading level and resources parents can use at home to help students practice the skills they are learning at school. Was great to record a PSA about the program and to have a chance to check out the materials which can be read in 11 different languages.

Each Literacy Pack contains books personalized to each studentโs phonics skill level, plus writing practice. Read Across America Week highlights the importance of building strong literacy skills and a love of reading. Through an initiative from Gov. Reynolds and the Department, all Iowa first graders and other early elementary students have received Just Right Reader decodable books to keep and continue learning at home. Schools like College Community School District have sent students home with two decodable book packs, totaling 20 books per student. We're thrilled to announce that our kindergarten students at Sidney Deener have been selected to participate in a special pilot program with Just Right Reader! Each student will receive three take-home decodable packs filled with ten engaging readers tailored to their individual reading needs, based on personalized DIBELS screener results. Our kindergarten students and families are bubbling with excitement as they embark on this journey to enhance their reading skills together!
