I worked with Helena ์„ ์ƒ๋‹˜ last year to practice and refine my speaking over the course of 3 weeks, while preparing for the Speaking Contest organised by the Korean Herald. She was a wonderful teacher, and went above and beyond in helping me correct the many errors I had. Not only did she provide me with her own voice demonstration to shadow and practice with, but she also listened and corrected each one of my own tries (they numbered more than 20). Some areas that Helena ์„ ์ƒ๋‹˜ really helped me with were in the pronunciation of the double consonants: despite having been a Korean learner for over 4 years, at that point, I still had issues with double consonants. It was Helena ์„ ์ƒ๋‹˜ that showed me the proper tongue placements for the double consonants. ์„ ์ƒ๋‹˜ also helped me practice my speaking accent, ensuring that I knew when to break in a sentence without destroying its fluidity. It is very important to know when to take pauses while speaking as it helps with the sentence structure and also signals how comfortable one is with the language. I am very grateful for the training that ์„ ์ƒ๋‹˜ gave me over those three weeks. That time with her was the best boost to my Korean language learning in the past year. I highly recommend working with her to practice your speaking skills as well!
