These were a Vectric project, that I modified for my wife. The longer one holds two trays of her pen collection. (I turn pens.). The smaller of the two organizes some of her wall wart chargers. I used VCarvePro for the carving. My wife, the artist, did the painting.

I hope this shelving unit falls into the category of organisation great timing on this lesson I used it on the weekend at our local agricultural show and it worked a treat I think I will add some adjustable lips to the shelves I had to adjust the slots to suit my plywood which i is an odd size 13.5mm I id not doit as easy as Kyle does but I got here in the end. I am 2 years into this CNC gig and loving it and a big thank you to you Kyle cheers all.

This is a 24" square piece of oak that we glued up. The entire project was made and cut as a V-Carve using the Vectric VCarve Pro software with my Shark HD520. I made this piece for my son and his family. I incorporated their names, birth date and birth time in this carving. This was my first big project and think that it came out pretty well.

I had to go pull this off the wall in the studio. I made this last year for practice. 3/4" MDF, painted black, sealed with Shellac, Ormasked, VCarve the designed after creating the vectors, painted white, pealed off the Ormasked (tiny piece by piece) sealed again with Shellac, and place on the wall as a reminder to "Do it right the first time"

I created this gift clock for a long-time Beatles fan. The base wood is Big Leaf Maple with a flame grain pattern. The silhouttes and Beatles logo are inlayed Wenge as are the time markers. I thought the edge would look better with a gradual to sharp fall off, to do that used skills I learned from studying the molding toolpath Kyle taught. The 1/2" entry/exit holes for the keyhole toolpath provide the indexing strategy for this 2-side project. I enjoy designing and building clocks!

I didn't think I would be able to finish this project in March because I had my Z axis tore apart. It went back together better than I expected. This project is my first successful epoxy fill. I tried epoxy two years ago and it didn't go well. After watching Rob Sandstrom video's, I felt confident enough to try again and was successful. (Thanks Rob)

I'm renovating a room in my house and haven't had time to come up with something new. So, this is a clock that I made last month (which I've previously posted here) for my buddy who is retiring as an elevator mechanic.
The wood is sassafras which I've never worked with before. He wanted something rustic looking and picked it out. Everything was working well until the raised numbers started to get chewed up on the final tool in the pocket toolpath (I hit some knots). To save the piece, I pocketed the numbers flat and cut new numbers from a piece of Sapele which were then glued on. If I had it to do again, I'd just do an inlay of the numbers rather than pocketing around them. I was happy to save the project though :)

The Bezel is Polycarbonate as well as the spacer rings required to have the Lens above the Hands. The Clock, loosely based on a logo) was given to Infamous Brewing in Austin TX for a 10 year anniversary this month. As a side note all of the material was scrap heading to the trash so turned out a perfect learning and recycling opportunity.

Cut this 5" Cherry Tray using an Axiom AR6 Pro CNC utilizing three different Amana Bits (46202-k,46369-k,46280-k).
What I learned was how to construct 3 different 3d models into a tray in order to accomplish the desired outcome and how to use rest machining feature within the Vectric software.

I decided to something original for the February challenge. I have been wanting to model a garden Gnome and while I was working on it, a Jackson 5 song kept playing in my head so I decided to put it on my model. I traced all the components separately and then modeled. My first model was in a dish but the hat just didn’t look right so I pocketed it. Cut it in pine but was disappointed when a knot came through at a bad spot. My wife loves it and that is what counts.

My wife saw a design like this on etsy, so I decided to try and replicate it. It came out okay, but there are a few improvements to be made. Next one I will make the hearts slimmer and also use a smaller diameter bit for the cut. I am learning how to create my own designs, instead of buying from another.

Two specific objectives; first, to 3d model small characters on the lid using 1/32" ball nose bit. Second was to use the same vector from the top to the bottom for the lid with a snug resistance fit by using an allowance on the profile toolpath.

This sold at an fundraising auction at a Marriage Encounter Retreat in Ohio. The left hand has a knot on the fingers and the thumb. Kind of ironic that the husband of the couple that bought it has an injured hand, and it reminded them of themselves.
