Wall of love for Rhythms that Stick
I have learned so much about emotions and mindset type things that have helped me immensely! The focus on emotions has been invaluable, as I recognized that I have stuffed my emotions for a long time (perhaps all of my life??). I’m more of a “just keep your head down and get the stuff done” type girl, and while that has served me well in past seasons, it wasn’t serving me well anymore. I have been able to more quickly identify my feelings and actions, and then take action steps to change my perception of some current life circumstances. It’s been such a gift to my brain and body. I am in a place where I don’t need formal counseling, so this coaching community checks the box for me—as a place I can learn and grow and do so conveniently (and cheaply) right alongside my daily life things. I think I’ll be hanging out with LUCO for a long time!

I'm a mom of a two and a half year old who I stay home with, but I also work in and out of the home a lot as a full time violinist and dabbling interior designer. My husband works full time as well during the year. The nature of both of our jobs is random, full, and never the same week to week. Formerly this would cause me so much anxiety and I would often blame shift when I couldn't get work done. I felt like everything was on me. I struggled so hard with auto immune disease, and felt broken having been riddled with postpartum anxiety and depression that seemed to last forever. There has been such gradual healing since then but nothing has jumpstarted my batteries back to life like LUCO. I am in a completely different place and feel like a new me who can reach out and hug the old me. I'm still learning and gathering tools, which is the fun part! But I feel like I've proverbially gotten to the middle of the pop tart where it's the sweetest and warmest and most decadent. I have rhythm in my weeks, purpose-filled days, and joy because I am freed up thanks to these tools. I find myself not needing to stress-scroll on my phone as a way to escape. Tonight I noticed the croaking of the frogs on my walk and how loud it was. This morning on our grocery pickup run I got my daughter to pose for a picture in front of a fire truck (her favorite). I had her help me bake - and yes it made a mess. We are saving money because we eat nourishing food at home. I never had this much room or margin for these little but life giving moments before. These tools have made me not just more organized but more playful and creative and really leaning into life and its fruitfulness rather than sleepwalking. Furthermore sharing with and hearing from this community each week has me learning about myself even more and makes me feel validated and heard. All positive things here in LUCO and it's amazing to be a part of. My favorite thing would have to be learning about rhythms, but specifically a teaching on destination - where I want my family to be and how to get there. This was a game changer for me figuring out where everything needed to fall in place in my day and gives me motivation to do it (joyfully!!)
