This was my first workshop with the Linking Your Thinking crew, and it felt like I died and woke up in nerdy heaven... except I was more alive than ever! Here I was among all my people: folks who care deeply about understanding the world - and themselves! - from their own perspective to enrich reality. People who are ready to interrupt the overwhelming stream of information, data, and content hurling towards our consciousness to say, "wait! that's interesting because...," "this reminds me of another idea...," and "here is another way to see this." People who are ready to engage with the world in a more intentional manner and, perhaps, leave their own mark with a little more clarity. People who want to leverage the tools for thinking that are available to us, in combination with our own knowledge and imagination, to help make more sense. What an exceptional space! I am grateful for how the Internet makes such a gathering or like-minded souls possible. Grateful also for the excellent work of Nick Milo and his crew, each of them kind, sensitive, and thoughtful. The Linking Your Thinking workshop is a space where participants can come as their whole selves, and discover they can be even more. More prosaically, the thinking frameworks I practiced in LYT are already making a difference in my work as a content creator and in my journey as a person who cares about cultivating mindfulness in my inner life. The curated expert sessions provided me with further tools to collaborate with others, and I learned so much, from the mundane (a plug-in I didn't know existed!) to the profound (reflections on grief), from fellow workshop participants. The whole experience has been a delight and I look forward to continuing being active in the LYT community.

I suspect we’ve all experienced enough poorly done learning experiences to acknowledge that good is hard to find and excellence is rare. We’ve been conditioned to accept mediocrity. As a fence-sitter, I was surprised to learn that note taking and note making are like comparing night and day. Understanding that difference changed my PKM jorney from one of collecting others thoughts to generating my own ideas. Note making has reinvorigorated my creative thinking!

This is the first time in my life I have actually felt like I have a sustainable tool and system to formulate all the stuff running through my brain. I took LYT 13 and 14 as part of the Knowledge Accelerator and it was one of the highlights of my year. At first, I was worried about missing live sessions because of timezones (I'm in GMT +8), but I get so much value from the recordings along with a very engaged and brilliant community. We learn not just from Nick, but from each other.

If you have a feeling that there might be a better way to get on top of your notes, go for this course. It takes away your struggle with the current system and instead adds a ton of benefits. Nick put a massive amount of thought into good long-term note taking. He guides you through your own process in a competent and casual way. This course saves you a lot of time while providing high quality insights you can find nowhere else.

It is hard to highlight particular one (part of the LYT workshop), all parts were balanced as I felt, which is a great credit to the team. I can say this was my first online course when everything was very carefully thought out and I really liked it. I would definitely recommend it to someone, who would like to get their thinking back on track. The LYT Workshop will surprise you with tried and true methods. Write more than relate. Enrich your PKM with own, authentic thoughts. Thinking muscle can be recovered.

Having a place built from these concepts/structures can really improve how you do many of your daily activities. You would definitely be surprised by how fundamental it can be in so many of the things that you already do. It's so pleasing to have a place where you can save and then quickly find many of the things that I want to remember.

As a multipotentialite, I love all those shiny new objects - and courses, which has made me more hesitant to participate, especially in courses with a set and ambitious time frame instead of studying the content in my own pace. But the cohort approach has worked wonders with me, because of the deep and open exchange within my team, a very intimate yet diverse subgroup of participants throughout the whole course, acting as a LYT "peer group" as much as making myself accountable. This course is only for you, if you can and will invest a considerable amount of time during these six weeks ahead, not because of the content and time of the lessons, but because of the highly aspiring and motivating interaction within the cohort. The promise: You will never feel alone or isolated..

Before I went through the LYT workshop, I thought that taking notes was a chore. Now that I've been through it, I take notes to help me make sense of the world around me, which is fun and incredibly rewarding. One of the most valuable lessons that I learnt during the course was how minor changes in the process can have huge long-term effects. Learning first to get rid of a rigid folder-based system was scary but useful. And later, bringing back some folders finding a balance between the structure and flexibility was a big deal in organizing my system. I now use a combination of flexible MOCs and very few carefully set folders on the broader level. Being memory-driven, my PKM relies on linking everything through people and interactions with them. It was during this course that the immense power of having central heavy nodes (people) with a lot of minor nodes surrounding them and interlinked became apparent to me. And I don’t think I can go back to a folder-hierarchy! ‍

Also, if you want to meet a great group of curious open-minded people who are committed to learning and growing, you need to tap into the LYT community.

At first, I was a bit hesitant in joining the workshop because of the price... but I went with my gut, and it was/is so worth the money. The workshop makes you look into why you need a PKM in the first place and what it could do for you.
