RTC has changed the way I see myself and my career because of all the people I have met through it. I also got to learn more about what I want to do in the future through mentors and exclusive events through RTC. I would tell a women in tech that this is a great opportunity for them to start their tech journey. As someone who used to be pre-med and had a hard time transitioning, I feel that RTC has made a big impact in helping me on my journey. I met some other people who are like me, and made friends with them. I got a resume review from this program and I have just started. I am excited to see where RTC can help take me in the future too!

I've been a member of RTC for about a year, and it has become one of the few communities that consistently reminds me I'm not navigating my career alone. As an international graduate student pivoting into product management, there were plenty of moments when I questioned whether I was doing enough or heading in the right direction. Seeing other women openly share their job search experiences, interview wins and rejections, resume advice, and career transitions made me realize that uncertainty is part of the journey & not a sign that I don't belong. One of the biggest things RTC gave me was confidence. Whether it was learning from resume reviews, discovering internship opportunities, or simply reading posts from women who had been where I am now, I always left feeling more informed and more hopeful. If a woman in tech is wondering whether to join, I'd tell her this: join before you think you need it. The knowledge shared is valuable, but the sense of community is what makes RTC special. It's a place where people genuinely want to see each other succeed. Congratulations on 50,000 members and thank you for building a community where so many of us feel supported.

RTC has had a significant impact on both my career and personal growth. As an international student pursuing my Master's in Computer Science, it gave me a strong community of women in tech who were navigating similar challenges and ambitions. Being part of RTC helped me build confidence, expand my network, and realize that I belonged in spaces I once found intimidating. One of the biggest opportunities that opened up for me through RTC was my internship at GSK. Through RTC's networking opportunities, company events, and professional community, I was able to learn about opportunities, connect with professionals, and ultimately secure an internship that became an important step in my career journey. Beyond internships and career opportunities, RTC provided valuable resume reviews, mentorship, and guidance that helped me grow professionally. What stands out most to me is the sense of community. Attending RTC events and meeting so many talented women engineers, researchers, and leaders made me feel less like "the only one" in the room and more like part of a supportive network. Some of my closest friends today are people I met through RTC, and those connections have been just as valuable as the professional opportunities. To any woman in tech considering joining RTC, I would wholeheartedly recommend it. Whether you're looking for internships, mentorship, career advice, networking opportunities, or simply a community that understands your journey, RTC provides all of that and more. It has opened doors for me professionally while also helping me build meaningful friendships and confidence that will stay with me throughout my career.

One of the most memorable experiences I had with RTC was attending a meetup at the Pure Storage office in the Bay Area last summer. This was my first RTC meetup and I was really nervous. Through the icebreakers, food and fun networking games, I got to know so many incredible women in tech. We all came from different backgrounds, countries, and stages of our careers, but as we shared our stories, I realized that many of us had the same fears, uncertainties, and questions about our future. That experience changed the way I saw myself. Until then, I often felt like I was the only one struggling with self-doubt or wondering whether I was doing enough. RTC helped me realize that these feelings are incredibly common, and that I wasn't alone. Seeing so many talented women who had faced similar challenges and still built successful careers gave me confidence to keep going. That meetup gave me so many great connections and opened up many interview opportunities through referrals. If I could tell another woman who's deciding whether to join RTC, I would say this: don't let uncertainty stop you. It's completely okay if you don't have everything figured out right now. We have all been there. Your hard work, curiosity, and passion will pay off and you will find a community of people who genuinely want to see you succeed. Sometimes, knowing you are not the only one is exactly the encouragement you need to take the next step.

RTC has been really helpful in my journey in tech, especially as someone still figuring things out. It’s made the field feel more accessible and less intimidating, and I’ve learned a lot from seeing other women share their experiences and advice. What stands out most is how supportive the community is. Seeing people who are going through similar challenges and still pushing forward in tech. That’s been really motivating for me.

I am so grateful for this community of women. Because of the people I’ve met through the activities, from networking events to socials, I have increased confidence in myself and the fact that I belong in tech. Through RTC, I have felt less alone, developed tools on how to battle imposter syndrome, and learned how to set up myself for success in this industry. Thank you RTC!

Rewriting the Code has given me a strong and supportive community that has helped me move past imposter syndrome and feel more confident in my place in tech. It has created meaningful opportunities for growth, learning, and connection that have shaped my journey. At my first Grace Hopper Celebration, the RTC booth above BofA was a grounding space where I could step away from the stress and overwhelming energy of the conference and recharge. Through RTC, I also met incredible women who inspired me and made the experience feel welcoming, empowering, and memorable.

One of the most meaningful RTC experiences for me was attending the Virtual Career Summit. Even though it was online, it still felt personal and energizing. Through the sessions, conversations, and opportunities to connect with other women in tech, I realized how powerful this community is. What stood out to me most was hearing from women with different backgrounds, journeys, and career goals, yet realizing that many of our hesitations and uncertainties were the same. It made me feel less like “the only one” in the room. I saw that self-doubt, career confusion, and fear of the unknown are not signs that you do not belong. They are experiences many of us share while growing. RTC changed the way I see myself and my career by reminding me that I am not alone, and that I have a community I can learn from and lean on. It gave me more confidence to keep pursuing opportunities, whether that meant preparing for interviews, improving my resume, or simply believing that there is space for me in tech. To any woman in tech deciding whether to join RTC, I would say: don’t worry if things feel uncertain right now. Trust me, you are not alone. Many of us have been there, and your hard work, passion, and persistence will bear fruit. RTC is a place where you can find support, encouragement, and people who truly understand the journey.

When I joined RTC in November 2024, I was looking for a community. What I found was so much more! As a woman starting my journey in tech, there were moments when I questioned whether I belonged. RTC became a place where I always felt supported, encouraged, and empowered. Instead of feeling like I had to figure everything out alone, I was surrounded by incredible women who were always willing to share advice, celebrate wins, and lift each other up. One thing I absolutely love about RTC is how active and genuinely helpful the community is. Whether it's constantly sharing new job openings and internship opportunities on Discord, resume resources, networking events, or even helping members find housing, it always feels like people are looking out for one another. It's rare to find a community that's so invested in helping others succeed. One of my favorite memories was attending GHC and meeting so many amazing women who were also part of the RTC community. It made such a huge conference feel so much smaller, and for the first time I truly felt like I wasn't the only one in the room. I also attended an RTC seminar that introduced me to an opportunity at GSK. That one event led to interviews, and eventually to my Software Engineering internship at GSK. From there, I continued growing with the confidence and support I gained through RTC, and today I'm incredibly grateful to have accepted a full-time Software Engineer offer. RTC didn't just help me find opportunities, it changed how I saw myself. It gave me the confidence to believe that I belonged in tech and reminded me that I didn't have to navigate this journey alone. To anyone else who wondering whether they should join RTC: absolutely do it. You never know which event, conversation, Discord post, or connection will change your career. More importantly, you'll become part of a community that genuinely celebrates your wins and wants to see you succeed. Thank you, RTC, for creating a space where women can learn, grow, and support one another. I'm so grateful to have been part of this community since November 2024, and I can't wait to see how many more lives you continue to impact. Congratulations on reaching 50,000 members! ❤️

Rewriting the Code completely changed how I look at online networking. Before RTC, networking felt like a chore, but days like TechConnect turned it into a real, active support system. The Slack channel is an absolute lifesaver - whenever I was in the middle of a job search or prepping for an interview, I knew I could jump in, ask questions, and get immediate, genuine advice from women who actually get it. A massive turning point for me was attending two of their in-person events: a networking night and a company site visit. Walking into those spaces, I instantly lost that feeling of being 'the only woman in the room.' Seeing so many of us together was incredibly empowering. If you’re a woman in tech wondering whether to join RTC, just do it - it's FREE anyway! The interviews, resources, and community you gain here are entirely game-changing.

I think RTC has shown me that I don’t have to do it alone. A community is needed for you to grow in life. Being a woman in tech is hard enough but having a community behind you helps a lot. It motivates me to keep going! Lastly, what opened up for me the most was being able to attend cool tech conferences and build relationships with my peers.

How RTC changed the way you see yourself or your career: RTC changed the industry in my eyes. I always thought that women were not given the chance to excel until I found RTC. This group showed me that there is a community and resources to help build us up and spread knowledge. What you'd tell a woman in tech who's deciding whether to join: The only way to go is up! There is plenty of space for us to build each other and learn from each other. There are more resources than we think and this is the type of community you need to help you in your career journey. A moment you felt less like "the only one" in the room: When I heard of the women in engineering conference (SWE). I couldn't believe that there was the opportunity to network with so many different professionals that have built so much for themselves. What opened up for you: an internship, an interview, a resume review, a first job: I would have to say a job. My career skills and interview skills needed a lot of work and guidance and I am grateful I was able to develop them with the help of RTC.

RTC has meant a lot to me because it made me feel less alone in a space where I have often felt like I had to prove that I belonged. I came to computer science from a background where women like me were not always encouraged to dream this big. There were so many moments where I felt like I was behind, like everyone else had more confidence, more connections, more clarity, and I was just trying to keep going. As an international student and a woman in tech, it can feel really scary to build a career in a new country while also carrying all the pressure of wanting to make your family proud and not waste the chance you were given. RTC gave me something I did not realize I needed so badly: proof that I was not the only one. Seeing other women share their wins, their rejections, their job search struggles, their resume advice, their interviews, and even their doubts made me feel less isolated. It reminded me that being uncertain does not mean I am not capable. It just means I am still growing. What I would tell another woman in tech who is thinking about joining RTC is: please join. Not because one community magically fixes everything, but because it helps to be surrounded by women who understand what it feels like to keep showing up even when the industry feels intimidating. It helps to see people who look like you, sound like you, struggle like you, and still move forward. RTC has helped me see myself not just as someone trying to break into tech, but as someone who belongs here and has something meaningful to offer.

My favorite part about RTC is the sense of community I felt after joining. Trying to make a career in a male-dominated field, it can feel very lonely and scary. Having a community of women in the same place as you going through the same feelings and troubles makes your journey slightly easier to go through. I've been able to find so many cool opportunities and get valuable advice from this community. It made me feel more seen and supported. I'm very thankful for joining such a wonderful community and would definitely recommend any other women in tech to join too. Having a sense of community when going through something as difficult as job searching and finding your career path in today's world is so valuable and impactful.

Rewriting The Code changed the way I see myself by making me feel more confident in my abilities and future in tech. Before joining this community, I sometimes questioned whether I belonged in this field because I was primarily the only female in my classes, but being surrounded by supportive mentors and peers showed me that I do. It encouraged me to pursue opportunities that used to feel out of reach and made me excited about building a career in software engineering. I would tell everyone to ABSOLUTLEY join. You don't have to know everything or have years of experience to benefit from this, the community the opportunities all of it is just a great experience to be part of. It's a welcoming place where you can learn, ask questions, make connections, and gain confidence while growing alongside other girls your age with similar or even the same goals. One of the most impactful moments was hearing other students and professionals openly talk about their own challenges and self-doubt. There is a section called self-care, one for advice and both of those really sit with me well, It feels like we all are going through this experience and tech career prep together and it reminded me that everyone starts somewhere and that many others have faced the same fears I have. That sense of shared experience made me feel so happy that I came across RTC. Through RTC, I gained access to helpful career advice, resume feedback, and sessions that helped me prepare for internships and interviews. It gave me the confidence to put myself out there, connect with professionals, and continue pursuing opportunities that align with my goals in technology. I LOVE REWRITING THE CODE!!! I am 100% more confident solely for the fact that I joined this community!

I first discovered RTC during my school’s trip to the Grace Hopper Conference. I discovered the booth during my first day at the conference and I thought, “Wow! Why didn’t I find out about this sooner?” This group has been monumental in my career path as a young woman in tech. Joining this community I felt so seen and welcomed, a stark difference from my usual conferences. This community also opened me up to experiences and events I would have never known about had I not been a part of RTC. Although most of my job search occurred outside of RTC, I still received a lot of help and feedback on my resume, and my first internship experience. I also felt like I contributed to other people’s experiences as well! For any woman in tech on the fence about joining, I’d say there’s absolutely no downside :). No matter where you are in your career, RTC has a home base for you.

A year ago, my mornings looked very different. I’d wake up, open LinkedIn, see people announcing internships, job offers, and achievements, and wonder if I was doing enough. As an aspiring software engineer, I spent countless hours learning, applying, and building projects, but there were days when progress felt invisible. Rejections would arrive faster than opportunities, and it was easy to question whether I truly belonged in tech. Then I found RTC. What started as joining another community quickly became part of my daily routine. Every morning, I’d scroll through RTC and see members sharing their journeys—their first internships, resume reviews, interview experiences, portfolio projects, and even the setbacks they were overcoming. Instead of feeling intimidated, I felt inspired. RTC became the reminder I didn’t know I needed. On days when I lacked motivation, I’d see someone celebrate landing an opportunity after dozens of rejections and remember that persistence matters. On days when I doubted my skills, I’d see someone share a project and feel encouraged to continue building my own portfolio. Every post became a small push forward. Because of RTC, I didn’t just consume opportunities—I started creating them for myself. I improved my resume, discovered fellowships and programs I wouldn’t have found otherwise, worked on strengthening my portfolio, and became more intentional about my career growth. The community transformed my mindset from “Am I good enough?” to “What can I build next?” One of the most powerful things RTC gave me was the feeling that I wasn’t alone. Behind every success story was someone who had once faced uncertainty, rejection, and self-doubt. Seeing that made me realize that growth in tech isn’t about being the smartest person in the room—it’s about showing up consistently and continuing to learn. If a woman in tech asked me whether she should join RTC, I’d tell her this: join for the opportunities, but stay for the community. The job posts, resources, and events are valuable, but the real impact comes from being surrounded by people who remind you every day that your goals are possible. RTC didn’t just help shape my career journey—it changed the way I see myself. Today, when I open my laptop to build another project, improve my portfolio, or apply for a new opportunity, I do so with more confidence than I had before. And a big part of that confidence comes from being part of a community that constantly inspires me to keep going. Congratulations on 50,000 members. I’m grateful to be one of the many people whose story has been positively shaped by RTC.

- I had my first event this June 2026, honestly at first I had imposter syndrome because most of the people I talked with were well established doing sth in their career, but after some conversation I felt like this is where I belong this is where I can learn things because everybody started from nascent phase. Then after listening to everyones story i was motivated to keep on doing what I really love. - Just go for it! Better jump into it and figure things out later hehe - Like I mentioned in the first one, after striking conversation with other girls or womens I felt motivated. Awe in everyones journey. - Sadly, I am a recent grad and currently exploring to land a job or atleast an interview because I believe interviews teach better than YT videos hehe

Before RTC, I was building entirely alone, writing PRDs, running AI research, designing frameworks, with no community that truly understood what it meant to be a woman figuring out tech without a traditional path. RTC changed that. For the first time, I didn't feel like I had to over-explain why I was in the room. The community made me realize that unconventional paths, like going from independent AI PM projects to pursuing an MCA, aren't weaknesses. They're the story. To any woman deciding whether to join: stop deciding and just join. The moment you see other women at different stages, some confused, some thriving, all figuring it out, something shifts. You stop asking "do I belong in tech?" and start asking "what do I want to build?" For me, what opened up was clarity. The confidence to put my portfolio forward without apologizing for not having a formal title yet. That confidence is worth more than any single opportunity.

Knowing that there was a whole organization out there empowering women and helping with career development was very inspiring. I joined right away after learning and noticed a lot of resources. I reached out to a community member on LinkedIn for a coffee chat and she was very willing. Although the coffee chat fell through, she was very nice and willing to help. I hope to utilize the platform more with all the in-person events and virtual information sessions!

RTC has meant a lot to me because it helped me feel less alone in tech. As a first-generation student from a Vietnamese immigrant family, there were many times when I felt like I had to figure everything out on my own. Joining RTC gave me something I did not realize I needed so much: a community of women who were ambitious, supportive, and figuring things out too. RTC changed the way I see myself. Before, tech often felt like a space I was trying to enter from the outside. After joining RTC, it started to feel like a space where I belong. Seeing so many talented women sharing opportunities, advice, and encouragement made me feel less like “the only one” and more like I was part of something bigger. It also opened up real opportunities for me. Through RTC, I found resources, internship postings, and a network that made the path forward feel more visible. Even when I was still building confidence, RTC reminded me that I did not have to wait until I felt fully ready to start showing up. If a woman in tech was deciding whether to join, I would tell her this: do it. RTC is not just another organization to add to your resume. It is a place that can make you feel more supported, more informed, and more confident about your future. For me, RTC has been both encouraging and grounding, and I’m really grateful to be part of this community.

I joined RTC hoping to find internship opportunities, but what I found was a community that made the tech journey feel a lot less overwhelming. As a student, it's easy to compare yourself to everyone else and wonder if you're doing enough. Seeing other women openly share their experiences, challenges, and successes reminded me that everyone starts somewhere, and it made me feel like I truly belonged in tech. RTC has also introduced me to opportunities, career resources, and advice that I might not have found on my own. Even when I wasn't applying for something right away, reading about other members' experiences motivated me to keep learning, improve my resume, and be more confident when putting myself out there. If I could tell another woman in tech one thing, it would be to join, even if you're just getting started. You don't need to have everything figured out. You'll find people who are willing to help, answer questions, and celebrate your wins. Knowing there's a community that genuinely wants you to succeed has made a real difference in how I see my own career.

Coming from an Indian engineering college, I've often been one of the few girls in the classroom. That sometimes made networking and finding relatable role models difficult. RTC changed that for me. It introduced me to a community of women who were building amazing things, asking the same questions, and supporting each other's growth. It made me realize that I belong in tech just as much as anyone else and encouraged me to aim higher in my career. I'd tell her to just go for it. In many Indian engineering colleges, the number of women in tech is still quite low, so it's easy to feel isolated or hesitate to ask for help. RTC gives you a community that understands those challenges. Beyond learning, you get mentors, peers, opportunities, and a support system that genuinely wants to see you succeed. The connections alone make it worth joining. The first RTC community session I attended was that moment for me. Seeing hundreds of women discussing internships, open source, interview preparation, and career goals made me realize I wasn't alone. For the first time, I wasn't the only girl trying to break into software engineering, I was surrounded by people with similar ambitions and experiences. That sense of belonging was incredibly motivating.

Hey I am Ziyanda Dlamini a second year student in Application Development. A moment i felt less like the only one in the room for a long time , i move through tech space quickly, not asking any questions, not raising my hand, i always tried to do everything on my own. But the truth is it didn't work ,honestly it just made everything harder and more confusing than it needed to be. Then i found this community, oh it was such a blessing. Something shifted in me when i realized i don't have to do it alone or i could just ask. Not perform the confidence i didn't have, not pretend i already knew . That openness led me to the Girls Who Yap Fellowship, a space that cracked something opened in me. I started to see that having a voice wasn't something you earned after you had figured everything out. You should show up uncertain and sacred. I met a lot of amazing people , helping each other in this journey. Now i am stepping out more. Sharing what i know, putting myself out there, doing things before i feel fully prepared. I spent so long trying to carry it all alone. This community showed me i didn't have to.

RTC allowed me to meet so many passionate members and constantly learn from them. I’ve found so many opportunities through the RTC community and slack channel that I just wouldn’t have known about otherwise. RTC embodies together we’re stronger!

RTC has helped me feel more confident about seeing myself as a woman in tech. As a computer science student, it can sometimes feel intimidating to enter spaces where you are one of the few women, especially when you are still figuring out your path. RTC has made the tech world feel a lot less overwhelming by showing me that there are so many women with similar goals, questions, and experiences. What I appreciate most is that RTC creates a space where women can support each other through every stage, whether that means looking for internships, getting resume advice, preparing for interviews, or just needing encouragement. It reminds me that I do not have to navigate this career alone. If I were talking to another woman in tech who was unsure about joining, I would tell her that RTC is worth it because it is more than just a network. It is a community that helps you feel seen, supported, and motivated to keep going. Being part of RTC has made me feel like I belong in tech, and that has meant a lot to me.

As a Computer Science student from India, joining Rewriting the Code has been an incredibly encouraging experience. As I work toward a career in software engineering, I'm always looking for opportunities to learn, build, and grow - and RTC has quickly become one of the communities I rely on for that. As a member, I explored fellowship opportunities shared by the community, discovered Microsoft AI learning resources, enrolled in the IBM Skills learning program available through RTC and watched RTC's AI sessions on building AI products and industry discussions with NVIDIA. These resources gave me practical insights into how AI is transforming software development and motivated me to continue strengthening my technical skills. Beyond the learning resources, what stands out most about RTC is the sense of community. It has encouraged me to be more proactive about applying for internships, exploring new technologies and investing in my personal and professional growth. If I were speaking to another woman considering joining RTC, I'd tell her that it's much more than a community - it's a place where you gain access to valuable resources, and a network of people who genuinely want to see you succeed. I'm grateful to be part of RTC and excited to be continue learning, contributing, and growing alongside this amazing community. Congratulations on reaching 50,000 members !

Rewriting the Code has been a transforming community for me. Not only career wise, but community wise and meeting people from across the country who share the same passions as me for tech. It's inspiring to see many women in this field and being able to be in a room full of them, considering how the tech space is so male-dominated. Thanks RTC for giving me the opportunities to feel so seen and welcomed. One of my favorite moments from RTC is when I had a social meetup in New York. We had a pickleball meetup, and it was awesome to get to connect with people in the city.

By the time I reached my senior year of high school, I was one of two girls in my computer science class, and the only girl in my grade who I knew dreamed of pursuing "computer science." I felt pretty lonely in my pursuit; as a first-generation student, my parents were barely even familiar with higher education, let alone technology as a career. I scoured the internet for every opportunity I could to make sense of the “dark matter”—namely through women communities like RTC. Though I’ve only joined recently, it hasn’t taken me long to realize I’ve found a special place space where women in tech are unapologetically themselves. We share our experiences of both joy and struggle, uplift one another, and offer a lending hand. I can’t wait to become more involved with this community.

RTC has been a valuable part of my career journey. As someone working toward building a career in tech, it's easy to feel uncertain at times, especially during the job search. Being part of this community has given me access to helpful resources, career advice, and opportunities that have helped me continue learning and improving my skills. ( Data Camp) One of the things I appreciate most is seeing other members share their experiences, successes, and challenges. It reminds me that everyone has their own path and that I'm not alone in the process. The supportive environment has kept me motivated to keep learning, networking, and applying for opportunities with confidence. I would definitely recommend RTC to any woman considering a career in tech. It's more than just a community, it's a place where you can learn, connect with others, and feel encouraged as you work toward your goals.

Being part of Rewriting the Code (RTC) has been a cornerstone of my professional development, transforming how I navigate my career path in tech. Before joining this community, I often struggled with feelings of isolation, frequently being "the only one" in a technical classroom or project space. Finding RTC changed that perspective entirely; it provided a space where I was surrounded by peers who shared my ambitions, hurdles, and experiences, instantly making me feel seen and supported. This community has been instrumental in opening doors that I once thought were closed. The support I've received, from resume advice to career guidance, has empowered me to confidently pursue my goal of working in IT project management and technical product management. To any woman currently deciding whether to join, I would say this: do not hesitate. Stepping into the tech industry can feel daunting, but you do not have to do it alone. RTC isn't just a network; it is a catalyst for your potential. Joining RTC has provided me with the tools, the confidence, and the connections to build a career I am truly proud of.

Before RTC, I knew I wanted to build a career in tech, but I sometimes questioned if I truly belonged in the space. Coming from a non-technical background, transitioning into data science came with moments of self-doubt. I was learning new skills, exploring a new career path, and trying to figure out where I fit in. RTC changed the way I saw myself. It helped me realize that my background was not a limitation but it was part of what made my journey unique. I stopped seeing myself as someone “trying to enter tech” and started seeing myself as someone who had valuable skills, experiences, and perspectives to contribute. One moment that stood out to me was seeing other women confidently share their experiences, projects, and career journeys. I remember realizing that many of us were navigating similar challenges of learning, growing, and sometimes questioning ourselves but we were all showing up anyway. That experience made me feel less like “the only one” in the room and more like I was part of a community of women building amazing things. For any woman in tech who is considering joining RTC, I would say: take the opportunity. RTC is more than just a program; it’s a community that reminds you that you don’t have to figure everything out alone. Whether you’re just starting out, changing careers, or trying to grow in tech, being surrounded by people who understand your journey can make a huge difference. One of the biggest things RTC opened up for me was confidence. It helped me become more intentional about how I present myself, my skills, and my experiences. For example, it encouraged me to keep building my professional presence, share my journey, and put myself forward for opportunities I might have hesitated to pursue before.

RTC has had a huge impact on my career journey. I am a Software Engineering student at Western Governors University, and while I love my school, it can be difficult to make meaningful professional connections compared to attending a traditional university. RTC has opened the door to networking opportunities that I wouldn't have had otherwise. Through the community, I've been able to connect with professionals, learn from their experiences, and receive valuable guidance as I work toward a career in tech. If I could tell a woman in tech who's considering joining RTC one thing it would be that I wouldn't recommend joining another nonprofit tech organization more than RTC. RTC provides opportunities that can truly help you grow at the beginning of your career and advancing further. I'm still early in the software engineering field, so I haven't started applying for internships yet, but thanks to RTC I already have a resume review scheduled for next week to help me prepare. It's exciting to know I have a community that's invested in helping me succeed, and I'm grateful to be part of it. I can't wait until I can give back one day.

Joining Rewriting The Code has been one of the most empowering parts of my tech journey. As a Software Engineer, I've spent years building impactful features but RTC reminded me that community is what truly sustains us in this field. One moment that stands out: attending RTC events and connecting with other women navigating H-1B visas, interview prep, and the push for senior roles. For the first time in a while, I didn't feel like "the only one" in the room - instead, I was surrounded by ambitious women sharing real talk about system design rounds, burnout after years in backend, and balancing career growth with personal life. That sense of belonging gave me the confidence to mentor juniors, optimize my LinkedIn for new opportunities, and even explore "Vibe Coding" my side projects. What I'd tell a woman in tech who's deciding whether to join: RTC is the supportive network that turns isolation into momentum. Whether you're prepping for your first internship, navigating early-career challenges, or (like me) looking to give back as you level up, you'll find resume reviews, interview practice, genuine connections, and inspiration from women who get it. It's free, global, and full of opportunities that open doors you didn't even know existed. Thank you, RTC, for building this space. You've changed how I see my role in tech : not just as an engineer, but as part of a community lifting each other up. Here's to the next 50,000 members! <3

RTC changed the way I see my career, it opened me up to meeting women from all around the world who are in the same position as me and it taught me that we are all in this together. It taught me that I’m not the only one who struggles with finding a place in the tech community and that things like not having an internship or having difficulties with job hunting do not define my skills as a women in tech. RTC also gave me a community to where I felt comfortable sharing about myself without judgement and made me that I belong in tech as a women.

When I joined RTC last year, I was a lost tech student with no idea of how to gain skills, how to network, or how to look for opportunities. Joining RTC changed all of that. I've taken mentorship from mentor meetings, I've taken part in online sessions, and I've learned so much from them. They all helped me secure a role at my dream company before even graduating. I'm happy to have been a part of RTC so far.

As a woman of color in engineering, RTC gave me a space to feel welcome and supportive when I didn't necessarily feel that way around my peers at school or work. It is truly encouraging knowing that this community exists and that I can lean back on it during difficult times, which motivates me to do harder things in my career.

Working in tech can be really exciting, but it can also feel intimidating sometimes. There are moments where imposter syndrome hits hard, and you start wondering if you actually belong or if everyone else somehow knows more than you. Especially as a woman in tech, there are times when you walk into a class, a meeting, or a technical conversation and feel like you are the only one in the room. RTC changed that feeling for me. It reminded me that I am not the only one who has had those doubts, and that so many other women are navigating the same fears, questions, and challenges. Being part of the community made tech feel less isolating and a lot more human. What I would tell a woman in tech who is deciding whether to join is: join, even if you feel nervous or unsure. You do not have to have everything figured out first. RTC is the kind of space where you can ask questions, learn from other women, hear honest experiences, and feel supported instead of feeling like you have to prove yourself all the time. One of the biggest things RTC gave me was the feeling that I was not alone. Hearing from other women about their career paths, interview struggles, wins, rejections, and moments of self-doubt made me feel less like “the only one” and more like part of a community. It also opened up real opportunities, whether that was through resume advice, interview preparation, networking, or simply learning how other women approached their careers. But more than anything, RTC helped me see myself as someone who truly belongs in tech!

I joined RTC thinking it was just another resource. A network, sure, maybe some career tips. What I didn't see coming was the feeling of, oh. There are others. People navigating the same scary, uncharted territory I thought was just... mine to figure out alone. That shift from "why is this so hard for me" to "this is hard, and we're all doing it anyway" that's what RTC gave me. And I don't think I can overstate how much that matters when you're starting out in tech and the room doesn't always look like you. Seeing what other women have built, the paths they carved out, the pivots they made it's not just inspiring in a vague, motivational-poster kind of way. It's practical. It gives you a mental library of possibilities. Like, she did it that way maybe I can too. To any woman sitting on the fence about joining: do it. Full stop. You don't need to be "ready" or have your whole plan figured out. That was a mistake I made, trying to be fully prepared before I started. You just need to show up. The work is still yours to do; nobody's handing anything over, but the community makes you feel like the work is actually worth doing. That part is everything. We're wired for connection. Always have been. And finding a community where people genuinely root for each other- that's rarer than it should be. I'm just really glad I found it.

RTC has been a part of almost every step of my journey for the last six years. I joined in 2020 at the beginning of my junior year in my Bachelor's in Computer Science in India, with a dream of pursuing my Master's in the USA, and this year I completed that goal. Through RTC, I connected with mentors who had followed the same path, helped me choose schools, supported me throughout my two years in the US, and made me feel like I was never the only one figuring things out. Along the way, I used RTC resources like NeetCode for DSA preparation, LinkedIn Premium, resume reviews, mock interviews through nSpire AI, and even gift cards that genuinely helped during my student life. Today, I'm happy to give back by organizing RTC Gather events. If I could tell any woman in tech one thing, it would be to join early the community, mentorship, and support can open doors that are hard to find on your own.

I joined RTC in 2023 while interning at Amazon in Seattle. That summer I often struggled with feelings of loneliness in a new city, far away from my friends and family on the east coast. Fortunately, some fellow interns invited me RTC events happening in the area. Through these opportunities I was able to make new friends and build new connections that supported me in my new experiences. Now years later and back in Philadelphia, I have continued to utilize RTC’s tools and resources to help me progress towards my goals in software development and UX design. From attending virtual fairs to staying in touch with the girls I met several summers ago, RTC has helped me feel more prepared to enter the industry after I graduate next year. I truly hope that one day RTC will bring events to my home city of Philadelphia!

RTC has been a big part of my tech journey. It gave me access to helpful resources, resume reviews, interview tips, and a supportive community of women in tech. Being part of RTC made me feel more confident in myself and my career goals. Everyone is welcoming, and there are so many opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with others. One of my favorite parts of RTC was realizing I wasn't the only woman working toward a career in tech. Seeing other women succeed and support each other made me feel like I truly belonged. Because of the skills, advice, and opportunities I found through RTC, I was able to grow my resume and recently received my first software engineering internship. I'm very thankful to be part of this community.

RTC has been such an incredible experience, from allowing me to host local events to inviting me to cool experiences such as Pure Accelerate last year! It's truly one of those communities where I can relate to the experiences and stories that others share and have them relate to me, and that is such a unique and indescribable feeling. It's really given me the hope that one day, I won't be the only women in the meeting and right now, I might feel alone but I'm not the only one who feels that way. And that means that there can and will be change, which I am excited to see. Huge thank you to RTC for such a special experience!

RTC gave me the sense of community I was always looking for. When I got an interview for my dream job, I asked if anyone else was in the process of interviewing and ended up connecting with three girls throughout the entire process. It significantly eased my fears knowing that everyone was just as nervous as I was, and also gave me confidence and a better mindset about myself. After all, supporting others makes you feel good too. Even though I got the job I still kept in contact with the girls throughout the interview process and shared similar openings at other companies as a way of giving back and sharing their support.

Being in RTC has made it really easy to meet women in tech outside of my school! I went to a company sponsored event last year where I had the opportunity to meet some amazing women, who I still run into at other events in the city! I recently attended an NYC meetup and met an amazing young professional who lives just a town away from me, and we spent 2 hours after the event just chatting with each other. Moments like these prepare me for networking in the workplace and introduce me to such a supportive community.

RTC has helped me feel more prepared, supported, and empowered as a first-generation college student pursuing software engineering. Through RTC, I was sponsored to attend the SHPE National Convention, where I had the opportunity to connect with fellow RTC members in person, interview with Bloomberg, and attend inspiring presentations from leading companies in the tech industry. I also had the chance to network with recruiters and learn more about potential career paths. One of the most memorable moments of the conference was attending the exclusive Bank of America x RTC breakfast. Looking around the room, I saw so many women who looked like me and shared similar career aspirations. For the first time, I didn't feel like I was the only one in the room. That sense of belonging and community was incredibly meaningful. To any woman in tech who is considering joining RTC, I highly encourage you to do so. The organization provides incredible professional opportunities, valuable resources, and, most importantly, a supportive sisterhood that will uplift you throughout your journey in technology.

RTC changed the way I relate to my field. I felt this overwhelming sense of imposter syndrome as a student and also when applying to internships in my field. Connecting with students like me helps me overcome this barrier, and reminds me that I, too, can learn anything and pursue any career I desire, especially in the competitive tech industry.

RTC definitely changed my perspective of my career path in tech for the better; the full exposure of chatting directly with women both young and experienced in their careers who all felt the same sense of community and unity made me feel very empowered when I first joined. I’m really grateful for it as it continues to fill me with inspiration with every event I attend and connection I make, because that representation truly builds one’s inclination to take the next steps towards their passion without overbearing doubts and unconditional support

I first learned about Rewriting the Code through a fellow student at an AI event. At the time, I assumed strong coding skills were required to join, so I hesitated. Later, I realized RTC is simply a supportive community helping women break into tech. Recently, as a new graduate navigating a stressful and competitive job market, I joined RTC to find a community of peers. Seven years ago, I was very shy. Volunteering with people from all over Vietnam pushed me out of my comfort zone and slowly helped me become more confident and open in how I connect with others. That experience shaped a big part of my growth during university. Now, facing the uncertainty of the post‑graduation job search, I find myself needing that kind of support again. While my high school experience helped me connect with people across my home country, RTC gives me the opportunity to connect with women around the world. Even though I only joined recently, the positivity and openness of this community have already motivated me to keep going. I am excited to learn, connect, and grow with RTC on this journey.

I recently joined RTC this May, and my only regret is not joining sooner. I graduated with a degree in Computer Science this May as an international student, and throughout my college years, I often felt like "the only one" in the room. There were only two other women besides me and my friend in my classes, and knowing a community like RTC existed would have been incredibly encouraging back then. I would tell any woman in tech — especially students — to join RTC as early as possible, because it has changed the way I see myself and my career. I finally feel like I've found where I belong. One of the most striking things has been the connection I've made with a friend I met through RTC. We're now taking classes together through codePath, and I feel like I can connect with her on a personal level in a way I struggled to with classmates sitting right next to me in college. It's remarkable that someone miles away can feel so much closer than people I shared a classroom with. I'm also 60% through the IBM Skills Build program this summer — it's a genuinely fun way to learn, and knowing there are prizes makes it even more motivating. I'm really looking forward to my upcoming mentoring session and resume review, and I'm excited to see where RTC takes me.

- RTC has made me feel seen in tech. Before, I often felt like the only one in the room, but here I found women who understand my journey. It gave me confidence, support, and a reminder that I’m not doing this alone. - RTC opened doors I didn’t even know existed. I learned how to improve my resume, prepare for interviews, and see myself as someone who belongs in this industry. It helped me grow my confidence and my career at the same time. - If you’re thinking about joining RTC, do it. It’s the one place where you don’t have to explain yourself, everyone gets it. You’ll find support, opportunities, and women who genuinely want to see you win. - There was a moment in an RTC event where I looked around and realized I wasn’t “the only one” anymore. Seeing so many women in tech sharing similar struggles and wins made me feel like I finally found my community. - RTC came into my life at the right time. I was feeling stuck and unsure, and this community reminded me of my strengths. The advice, the encouragement, and the shared experiences helped me keep going and believe in myself again.

RTC changed the way I think about both my career and what is possible for me in technology. Before joining RTC, I saw my career primarily through the lens of my current role and immediate opportunities. Through the community, mentorship, and exposure to women across different technical disciplines, I began to see a much broader landscape of possibilities. It helped me recognize that careers in technology are rarely linear and that growth often comes from taking chances, building relationships, and staying curious. One of the most impactful parts of RTC was being surrounded by women who were navigating similar challenges while also achieving incredible things. Seeing their journeys gave me confidence to pursue opportunities that felt out of reach and reminded me that there is a place for women at every level of the industry. It also reinforced the importance of lifting others up as we grow. For any woman in tech who is deciding whether to join RTC, I would say that the community alone makes it worthwhile. Beyond the technical learning and career resources, you gain access to a network of people who genuinely want to see you succeed. The support, encouragement, and practical advice can be career-changing. RTC opened doors that extended far beyond the program itself. It led to meaningful connections, mentorship opportunities, resume feedback, and conversations that strengthened my confidence as a professional. Most importantly, it helped me think bigger about my future and gave me the tools and community to pursue that vision.

RTC has been instrumental in helping me build both my confidence and my professional network in tech. Through the community, I've had the opportunity to connect with and learn from leading companies such as GSK and NVIDIA, gaining insights that have helped me better understand the opportunities available in the industry. One of the most valuable parts of RTC has been the community itself. Through the London Summer Hubs, I've built a strong network of women in tech who have shared advice, experiences, and encouragement. I also had the opportunity to serve as a Summer Hub Leader, where I planned and led events that brought members together to connect, learn, and support one another. Being able to help foster that sense of community was incredibly rewarding and helped me develop my leadership and organisational skills. At the same time, meeting and being surrounded by so many talented and supportive women gave me a real sense of belonging in the tech industry. Seeing so many women succeeding, sharing their experiences, and supporting one another made the industry feel far more accessible and reinforced that there is space for all of us to thrive. RTC has opened doors to meaningful networking opportunities and helped me create connections that I know will continue to support my career long after graduation. I would absolutely recommend it to any woman in tech who is looking to grow her network, gain industry exposure, and find a supportive community.

RTC made me realize that I have the support I need as a woman in technology. I decided my career choice late and I was unsure as to how to proceed, what steps I should take, and lacked the confidence to continue or work hard in my field. However, with RTC, I met likeminded women just like me. I was happy that I had the chance to meet so many people especially those of my age and generation who were so passionate about the tech field. Having a support group whose main focus is to help women succeed made me feel included and appreciative. I would tell a woman in tech who is decided whether to join that RTC is a great place to find herself and find connections. Especially since many women in tech feel imposter syndrome, RTC offers the support and the feeling of belonging to a new woman in tech. Through RTC, I was able to study for interviews and practice with their online tools. Through the resume review software I was able to secure interviews at companies such as Belvedere Trading and explore the NVIDIA GTC experience. The resources offered gave me a shot at many jobs and also helped me build my confidence when interviewing.

This was the best platform that helped me get my resume reviewed and learn about the opportunities available for me. The many learning resources and mentorship programs are truly excellent. I was part of the RTC Scotland mentorship program, which was such a great experience. My mentor was a wonderful guide who helped me a lot in my upskilling and in understanding cutting-edge technologies.

I’m still early in my career but even then I’ve often been the only woman in a room full of engineers, I used to feel like that about this industry that maybe overall there are less women but after joining RTC I’ve met women like me, I’ve seen women I introduced to this community be as amazed as me and I’ve made friends with people that are JUST LIKE ME and all their lives they FELT WHAT I FELT. That was so validating and reassured me that I was not alone - maybe physically for sure but then I open slack and there you all are, sharing jokes, job opportunities, introducing yourselves and your work and your passions and from all around the world even back from my home country and I feel so connected. I feel confident in voicing my ideas because I know they would be taken seriously and I can be as girly as I want to be because I don’t have to hate shopping and love coding at the same time. I can do both and still be taken seriously. So if anyone is thinking to join, DO IT. As they say “No time like the present” and I know when you join, all the 50K of us would be there to welcome you from all over the world, I’m excited to meet you 💖

RTC helped me attend my first conference ever, and land one of the most impactful internships of my career. I’ve become so confident in the male dominated space that is Software Engineering, and landed a job straight out of college. I’m so thankful for the opportunities and will always support RTC.

RTC gave me much more than technical guidance—it gave me a community. As a woman in tech pursuing my Master's in Computer Science, seeing other women navigate similar challenges made me feel less alone and more confident in my goals. Through mentorship, resume feedback, and career guidance, I gained clarity on how to position myself for opportunities and grow as an engineer. RTC helped me believe that I belong in this industry, and I would encourage any woman in tech who is considering joining to take that step. The support, encouragement, and network are truly invaluable.

I joined RTC as a junior developer and grew to mid-level whilst still in the early-careers community. It introduced me to women in tech (duh) but I have been the only female engineer in the 2 companies I’ve worked in. The workforce seemed to be all men and I didn’t know there were SO many women who exist in the same field. It gave me belonging and Its opened me up to talking to other people not just to learn but to also be as helpful as I can. The community made me realise that I had something valuable to offer as well. I have hoped on over 10 calls with different women at different parts of their careers and I was able to help them to get clarity on their careers and the next steps to move them in the direction of the future they want. Talking to all these women made me realise I am not the only one who is ambitious and wants to be surrounded by likeminded women. Every woman in the community is ambitious in her own way and wants to do better. (It made me fall back in love with having a career). RTC opened up my doors to a community of advisors, a community full of mentors and people who’ve already been in my position who can guide me. It also made me into a better coach and allowed me to mentor people, review resumes, work on confidence and be a teacher.

Throughout my undergraduate studies in CS and my early career in product management, I was frequently one of very few women in technical spaces, which felt isolating. Discovering this community at a hackathon was a turning point for me; realizing that there are over 50,000 women who have walked or are walking the same path changed my perspective entirely. Connecting with peers who share my passion for data, product management, and tech at an RTC networking event was incredibly empowering. Seeing how other women in tech are leading, navigating, and building amazing things has shown me that this support system provides the motivation and encouragement we all need to continue growing and thriving together.

I joined RTC recently and honestly I'm still figuring things out… no job yet, still waiting on interviews, still learning. But what's already different is that I don't feel like I'm doing this alone. The RTC community introduced me to people and resources I wouldn't have found otherwise, and just seeing other women navigating the same things makes the process feel less overwhelming. I'm early in my journey but I'm glad I'm not doing it by myself.

Being part of the Rewriting the Code community has transformed my sense of belonging in the tech world and inspired me to pursue my career despite the challenges of the job market. I wholeheartedly recommend RTC because it consistently opens doors to opportunities and events I would never have discovered on my own. I've attended several RTC events in NYC, where I've gained invaluable insights from fellow members. RTC has given me the confidence to participate in networking events, such as those during New York Tech Week, even when I’m one of the youngest people in the room. I know I belong here because of the skills and knowledge I’ve acquired. Additionally, I truly appreciate the free access members receive to the Nspire platform. It has been incredibly helpful in tailoring my resume for the roles I've applied for and in preparing for behavioral interviews.

Joining RTC changed the way I viewed both myself and my career. Before becoming part of the community, I often felt like I had to navigate the tech industry on my own. Through RTC, I met women with different backgrounds and career paths who were openly sharing advice, supporting one another, and celebrating each other's successes. It was one of the first times I truly felt like I wasn't the only one figuring things out. The community gave me practical support through resume reviews, mentorship, networking opportunities, and career advice, which helped me approach interviews and job applications with much more confidence. But beyond the tangible resources, RTC gave me a sense of belonging. Seeing so many accomplished women in tech reminded me that there isn't one "perfect" path into this industry and that I belong here too. If I were speaking to a woman who's considering joining RTC, I'd tell her to just join. Whether you're looking for your first internship, preparing for interviews, or simply searching for a community that understands the challenges of building a career in tech, RTC is filled with people who genuinely want to see you succeed. It's not just a network, it becomes a support system that continues to open doors long after your first interaction.

Rewriting the code has been an amazing resource to me as a nontraditional college student. I benefited so much from their virtual career fairs, online job board, and finding opportunities on Slack. I would implore a fellow woman in tech to join RTC because everyone is trying to lift each other up and it’s a respite from always being the “only one” in your STEM classes. I overcame my self doubt through joining RTC and feel more confident than ever in my ability to thrive in tech.

Before RTC, tech felt like something I was doing alone. I’d look around and not see many people who understood what it was like the pressure, the self-doubt, the feeling of navigating spaces that weren’t really built for you. I had the skills, but I didn’t have a community. RTC changed that. For the first time, I was surrounded by women who got it who were asking the same questions, facing the same walls, and still showing up. That shifted something in how I see myself. I stopped feeling like an outsider trying to break in and started feeling like I actually belong here. Being a member has reminded me that I’m not alone in this, and honestly, that’s made me braver about everything else.

RTC reminded me that job searching doesn’t have to be a lonely experience. As a recent Data Science graduate, there were times I questioned whether I was doing enough or if I was the only one struggling in this market. Seeing other women openly share their journeys, challenges, and wins made me realize we’re all navigating similar obstacles. RTC has helped me discover opportunities, improve my resume, and stay motivated by learning from other’s experiences. Even when I didn’t land every role, I gained confidence knowing I had a community that genuinely wanted to see me succeed. If you’re a woman in tech wondering whether to join, do it. You’ll find resources, opportunities, and, more importantly, people who understand exactly where you are in your journey. RTC reminds you that you’re never the only one in the room.

Happy 50k, RTC! This community has changed the game for me by turning what can often feel like a lonely career path into a shared journey. If I had to tell a woman in tech why she should join, I'd say: join for the resources, but stay for the network. From critical resume feedback to seeing other women crush it in technical roles daily, RTC expanded my vision of what my own career could look like. Here's to the next milestone!

RTC opened my world starting last summer. I was in the bay area and every tech event was a 20:1 gender ratio. So the moment I stepped into the RTC bay area welcome event, I was hit with an overwhelming sense of comfort and belonging I didn't get anywhere else. That first event, with its first friends, turned into many more RTC events and friends, blossoming into a network that I hung out with often and kept me sane that summer and beyond. My community in tech today would be completely different if not for RTC <3

RTC helped shape perspective. In school you are limited to the people you see on your day to day and can get stuck thinking why is this only happening to me or how to I learn how to find my way in my career. And this networked help open my eyes to all of the different stories and women out their facing the same challenges in the tech feild and giving me a place where I felt like I could connect more with individuals that understood.

Learning CS was no easy feat. Through other students mentioning RTC on LinkedIn, I was able to discover that an amazing community of women in technology existed, and I immediately thought to myself that this would be the perfect organization to join. I wanted to meet new people, learn from others, and discover new opportunities. RTC helped out tremendously in all of those aspects. The creation of the Slack channels where others can drop in advice, mentorship, and job openings have helped me delve deeper into learning what the current job market looked like, and what exactly happens in the day-of-a-life for college graduates. Overall, I loved hearing from others, attending RTC events, and staying connected to the broader tech community!

Before finding out about RTC, I thought a career in tech meant fitting into a very specific, rigid box of traditional software engineering. RTC completely shifted my perspective. It showed me that having a technical foundation doesn't limit me to coding and it actually supercharges my capability in tech marketing and design. It changed how I view my own value and I stopped trying to blend into the traditional role. If I had to give another woman advice who’s debating whether to join, I'd say just take the leap. The tech world can sometimes feel like an exclusive club where you're constantly trying to prove you belong, but RTC is the exact opposite. It’s a space built on zero gatekeeping, massive resource-sharing, and genuine celebration of each other's wins, I mean there’s even a whole channel dedicated to it on Slack. Even if you don’t think you’ll contribute much to the conversation right away, you’re gaining a massive support system of women who want to see you succeed on your own terms. You have absolutely nothing to lose and an entire community to gain. Physically, I might’ve been one of only three girls in a 60-person lecture, but through RTC, I knew there were thousands of women who faced the same experiences and wanted to do something about it. I was even able to go to my first conference because of RTC; someone posted about WECODE in a channel, and I applied to be an ambassador and got the role! It helped me develop my network of peers and mentors that I know will support me throughout my entire professional journey

RTC helped me realize that there are so many women out there just like me who are simply figuring it out. I used to constantly see incredibly successful women on LinkedIn, which made me feel like I was being left behind. However, once I joined RTC, I realized that everyone starts exactly where I am now. The women here are incredibly supportive, and it has completely reframed how I view my own career progression. I would tell any woman in tech deciding whether to join that it is absolutely worth it. This community helps you connect with people and build relationships that you simply wouldn’t have been able to access on your own. The moment I felt less like "the only one" in the room was when I started reading through the community Slack channels. Seeing so many women sharing experiences just like mine completely changed my perspective and made me feel significantly more motivated to put myself out there. What opened up for me was a powerful community of women who are always ready to support one another, alongside events that directly helped me connect with incredible people and companies.

Walking into huge university computer science lectures and coding labs was a massive reality check. It is incredibly intimidating when you look around and barely see anyone who looks like you. But RTC completely changed the way I see myself and my career. It took the imposter syndrome down a few notches and replaced it with genuine confidence. Instead of constantly worrying if I am cut out for a technical track, this community helped me realize that I fully deserve a seat at the table. I felt less like "the only one" in the room the moment I started engaging with the community spaces. Navigating grueling Data Structures and Algorithms concepts, preparing for technical interviews, or debugging complex code can feel like a solo battle. Seeing a whole network of women tackling the exact same challenges made me realize I wasn't isolated. Instead, I was just part of a shared journey. Because of that support, a lot has opened up for me. Getting access to hyper-relevant career resources, like breaking down how to structure a technical resume or learning what interviewers actually look for, took the guesswork out of the professional world. It gave me an actionable roadmap for landing interviews and aiming for internships rather than just crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. If I had to tell a woman in tech who is deciding whether to join, I would say to just do it. Computing can feel isolating, but you don't have to navigate the code or the career prep by yourself. Having a community that actually understands the grind and genuinely wants to see you win is a total game-changer.

Honestly, the corporate world used to feel intimidating. Like everyone around you already had it figured out except you. RTC changed that — not because it handed me a roadmap, but because I kept seeing people in the exact same position I was in. Same doubts, same questions, same starting point. That alone made things feel less lonely. The bigger thing it opened up for me was clarity. I landed an internship at EY , and that experience taught me something I'd actually pass on to any woman deciding whether to join: don't just take a role because it's there. Look at whether it actually goes somewhere. Research the company, understand what they value, see if the work aligns with where you want to be in a few years — not just where you want to be next month. Money matters, but a job that builds nothing for you isn't really a good deal. If someone asked me whether to join, I'd say yes — but not just for the community. For the perspective. When you're surrounded by women who are figuring it out alongside you, you stop feeling like you need to have everything together before you can belong.

I think joining RTC has made me feel like I'm not alone. The tech industry is definitely male-dominated and can be intimidating at times, but seeing so many girls in RTC supporting each other encourages me to put forward my best effort as well. It's inspiring to see other women in the field who have struggled with the same issues come out on top and become genuinely successful. RTC has given me many opportunities, like access to recruiters and more information on the recruiting process in general. For those who are still on the fence about joining, you should go for it! The friends you make here definitely last a lifetime, and you won't regret it.

Graduate Student (Data Science'26)

I joined RTC 2.5 years ago, right after graduating from undergrad and just before moving to the U.S for my Masters. I knew I wanted to build a career in tech, but I also knew I was starting from behind. Coming from my home country, I wasn't exposed to many of the communities, fellowships, or resources that people seemed to already know about. I wanted to change that, and that's when I found RTC. Before I even landed in New York City, I started introducing myself in the Slack channels, connecting with people in NYC, and reaching out on LinkedIn. Within just a couple of days, I had connected with so many amazing women that my LinkedIn feed completely transformed. Instead of random posts, I was seeing fellowship opportunities, internships, conferences, newsletters, books to read, creators to follow, and advice from people who had already been through the journey I was about to start. People talked about everything, be it sports, books, pets, plants, hobbies, or life in new cities. It felt like a community first and a professional network second. Slowly, I became more confident putting myself out there, and I made genuine friendships with women living across the country and even across the world. We were all trying to figure things out together, and everyone was incredibly generous about sharing opportunities and helping each other grow. A month ago, I attended my very first RTC networking event in NYC. I met some incredible people, but one connection really stuck with me. We'd never met before that evening, yet today we're constantly sending each other job opportunities and checking in on each other's search. I never asked her to do that; she simply wanted to help. That small act of kindness perfectly captures what RTC is all about. Looking back, RTC has given me so much more than career resources. It gave me confidence, a support system, and the motivation to keep learning even when things felt uncertain. It reminded me that I wasn't the only one navigating a new country, a new industry, or a new chapter of life. Whenever friends from my graduate program ask me how I hear about so many opportunities, RTC is one of the first things I mention. I've encouraged so many of them to join, and now it's something we all talk about, whether it's a great resource someone shared on Slack, an interesting discussion, or an event we discovered through the community. Seeing RTC reach 50,000 members is amazing. Honestly, I thought it would have hit this milestone much sooner, given how valuable the community is. Congratulations on 50K, and here's to the next milestone: one million!

Before I found RTC, I was struggling with something I didn't even have the words for a quiet, persistent feeling that maybe tech wasn't really for me. Growing up as a woman in Nepal, that feeling isn't abstract. It's in the limited opportunities around you, the lack of mentors who look like you, the silence where guidance should be. I found RTC through an influencer, almost by chance. I joined because I was underconfident. What I didn't expect was to find a home. Every morning, I open Slack and something shifts in me. I see women from across the world sharing resources, lifting each other up, passing along opportunities they didn't have to share but did anyway. It sounds small, but when you've spent time feeling invisible in a field, being seen by a community of women who genuinely get it is everything. Right now, watching everyone dive into the AI Summer Challenge together sharing progress, cheering each other on it feels less like a professional program and more like a summer camp. The kind I never got to go to, but always wanted. RTC didn't just give me skills or resources. It gave me something harder to find: permission to be excited about my future in tech. I'm stepping into my career now not with dread, but with genuine anticipation and for the first time, I'm not doing it alone.

RTC has been a reminder that I don’t have to figure out a career in tech on my own. As a Business Analytics graduate student, it’s easy to feel like everyone else already knows the right path. Being part of RTC has helped me see that asking questions, learning from others, and building a network are all part of the journey. One of the biggest things RTC has given me is confidence. Seeing women at different stages of their careers share their experiences has made the tech industry feel more welcoming and has helped me believe that I belong here too. If you’re a woman in tech wondering whether to join, I’d say go for it. Even if you’re just starting out, you’ll find resources, opportunities, and a community that genuinely wants to see you succeed. Sometimes all it takes is realizing you’re not the only one navigating the challenges of breaking into tech.

Performance Messaging Intern @ Atlassian

I have an internship in San Francisco this summer. I’m from New York so I don’t know anyone here. When I meet with the others interns, we weren’t able to connect because almost all of them are from the same school or from the Bay Area. On my second day of the internship I went to the networking event RTC hosted on June 16. Two blocks before the entrance, I see a girl with a SKZOO keychain and I compliment her. Turns out we have a lot in common, as we are walking we realize we’re going in the same direction, we’re both going to the RTC event! We spend the whole night tonight and even grab ice cream after the event. We exchange numbers and made plans for the weekend. We did two escape rooms, rode the Ferris wheel, and gushed over the sea lions at fishermen wharfs. If it wasn’t for RTC, I wouldn’t have met her, I wouldn’t have made such an incredible connection in San Francisco, and I wouldn’t have gotten to try the secret menu at In-N-Out, and for that I’m grateful.

When I first started university, the unfamiliar environment made me doubt my abilities in tech. Coming from a biology background, it took me a while to find my footing, and I often felt like I was falling behind my peers. This struggle took a toll on my confidence, leaving me in a constant battle with self-doubt. I frequently let fear and uncertainty hold me back. RTC changed that. Being part of this community helped me realize that I am more capable than I ever gave myself credit for, and that growth doesn’t have to happen at the same pace for everyone. Taking longer to achieve something doesn’t equate to failure; it simply means I’m still learning, improving, and moving forward. This shift in perspective is one of the most valuable gifts RTC has given me. RTC has also played a crucial role in my career journey. During placement season, RTC provided me with a NeetCode subscription, which became an essential part of my preparation. The structured resources helped me stay consistent, and I’m grateful that this preparation ultimately led to me securing two job offers. I’m currently using the LeetCode Premium subscription through RTC as well, and it continues to motivate me to push myself and enhance my problem-solving skills. What has impacted me the most, however, is the community itself. Seeing so many women openly share experiences that mirrored my own made me realize I wasn’t alone in my fears and uncertainties. The articles and stories shared by RTC eased much of my anxiety about stepping into my first job. Reading about other women’s journeys reminded me that many of us face similar challenges, and that we don’t have to navigate them alone. More than anything, RTC gave me a sense of belonging. It provided a space where I no longer felt like “the only one in the room.” Being part of this incredible community of 50,000 women in tech is something I will always cherish. Through learning sessions, premium resources, insightful articles, and supportive Slack channels, RTC has consistently had a positive impact on my journey. “Tech is better when you’re not alone,” and RTC made me truly believe that.

A year ago, I was completely stuck. Juggling relentless university exams and hunting for internships in Kosovo felt draining. I constantly felt behind and was losing my motivation, then a random TikTok video changed everything. Someone mentioned Rewrite the Code as a place built entirely to lift women in tech up. I joined in April and the shift was instant. Coming from a place where I often felt like the only girl in the room and entering a community of 50,000 highly motivated and supportive women was really breathtaking. Seeing so many successful women opening doors and sharing opportunities did not just give me hope, it gave me the drive to become 'that girl' who succeeds in tech and helping the other girls also. RTC completely reframed how I view my career and my pontential. So, all I can say to other women in tech is - If you are hesitating, just take the leap. Here RTC it's a reminder no matter the location or the isolation you might feel locally does not define your boundaries. RTC is really a global room where we all belong :)

RTC gave me the confidence to believe that I was ready for opportunities at top tech companies. Through its resources and community, I realized that interviews are not just about technical skills but also about preparation, communication, and confidence. It changed my mindset from doubting myself to believing that I could compete with the best.

Interacting with other women through RTC made me realize that many of us share similar challenges, ambitions, and dreams. Seeing so many talented women supporting one another made me feel that I truly belonged in tech and that I wasn't navigating this journey alone. 4. One of the biggest opportunities RTC opened up for me was through NSpire, its AI interview platform. I used it extensively to prepare for interviews, and its personalized feedback helped me identify my weak areas and improve my communication and problem-solving skills. That preparation played a significant role in helping me secure my internship at Uber, making RTC an important part of my career journey.
