Two years ago, I felt stalled on my career path, largely because I was no longer sure what I wanted. A close friend pointed me to Natalie and I cannot thank her enough. In the two years I have worked with Natalie, I have dug deeply into my own motivations and found a clarity of purpose that was always there, just not named. Natalie consistently teaches useful tools for addressing difficult situations and for getting to the the heart of the matter. I feel more confident in my career trajectory, and that the skills I am learning are helping me make life better for more patients and families. I'm more content with my personal life as well. In my professional life, I coach and work with business owners daily on how to run and grow their business from a financial and operational lens. I assisted many owners and employees about their own personal growth and state of mind but had no one to help me do this. I never really thought of having an executive coach for myself because I was expected to be that for my clients in a way. One day when I was struggling, I asked a friend and colleague for a recommendation and she connected me with Natalie. First - we have the same name so I felt it was going to be a perfect fit! It has been. We have been working together now for almost 2 years and I cannot imagine us not working together. When I was referred to Natalie by someone I admire greatly (a fellow Latina boss lady), I was experiencing the hardest time in my life both personally and professionally. The impact of my grief on my day-to-day, and the lack of support from my boss really did a number on my confidence. Natalie helped me get back-to-basics — to look inward at my strengths and successes, to smash the saboteurs, and to prioritize the things that really mattered to me. She has helped me look at my personal values (e.g. what motivates and energizes me), as well as be intentional and clear about where to invest my energy. The clarity comes from pointed questions, actions created every time we meet, and from being accountable. With her guidance, I’ve created artifacts -- journals on specific topics or various long-term and short-term visions -- that have helped me connect deeply to my strengths, desires, and priorities. And most importantly to come up with the courage and the action plan to go after them. This is how I got my groove back and found my last leadership position. When I was first paired with Natalie through the Sayge program, I wasn't sure what to expect from a coaching experience. She far exceeded my expectations and was instrumental in helping me grow professionally - and personally - during the 6 months that I was fortunate to work with her. In less than 9 months, Natalie has helped me make significant improvements in a couple of significant ways. First, was she helped me work on enhancing my visibility within the organization and improving my perception among senior leadership which has led to a promotion. Secondly, by really focusing in on specific goals and challenging me to visualize common scenarios where I would normally sabotage myself, I was able to preemptively stay on track and achieve success. I worked with Natalie over only a small number of sessions (as offered by my organisation) so my expectations from this experience were rather modest. However, the strategies used by Natalie were really very effective and made me reflect better on my approach to work. Natalie is a great listener, she is an upbeat mentor and working with her helped me ‘untangle’ some of my thoughts and motivated me to apply my values in the workplace and in leading my team. I found Natalie out of desperation. I was stuck at a job with no growth and mounting responsibilities.
