At the American School of Durango, we had the pleasure of hosting Jessica Werner for a day and a half of professional development during our orientation week for the 2026–2027 school year. Jessica led our teachers in a workshop focused on creating calm classrooms and effectively addressing student behavior. She provided our teachers with practical tools and strategies to approach behavior concerns with greater confidence and clarity. The advice used was entirely research-based, well explained and thorough. I was impressed with the fact that Sherryse used plenty of research pertaining to our South Korean environment; we had had a couple of chats before the parent session and it was clear that the talk was specifically designed for our context. Parents were very engaged, impressed and still talk about the session.

I feel Dr. Clark reminded me that it is ok to set smaller goals, even if you change the goal midstream. I think my goals and dreams get too large to tackle and then are often forgotten. I feel Dr. Clark reminded me that it is ok to set smaller goals, even if you change the goal midstream. I think my goals and dreams get too large to tackle and then are often forgotten. After the observations, when we do our debriefing it is like vising with a co-worker that gives you guidance on improvement. I loved all of the feedback and think that she has done an amazing. It is such an amazing thing that our school has signed on for. I am hoping that it works for everyone this positively. I hope everyone gets the same outcome that Katie helps us with.
