I’ve told you before how amazing you are but sometimes it needs to be repeated. A reminder, of sorts. I love your methods, your AI system and your personal traits, however, I’ve recently realized that there is something else that you do that no one else does. I subscribe to several MarketWise subsidiaries and there are absolutely no analysts within my subscriptions, other than you, that repeatedly discuss the stocks in their portfolios, especially when the stocks fluctuate due to any possible reasons. It is so frustrating, for example, to see a stock drop 15+% in one day and not no why. I’ve found that Yahoo Finance, followed by an internet search, if needed, are my best sources to try and find the reasons for why my stocks drop. YOU, are my only analyst that always addresses any changes to your portfolio stocks, AT THE TIME THEY CHANGE. Do you realize how rare that is. HOW RARE YOU ARE!! My portfolio dropped almost 20% this year and if it weren’t for you and your constant emails explaining leveraging, etc, and how you believe our stocks will bounce back I may have quit the whole market. I am learning to self manage my investments without any prior knowledge of stocks and the market (crazy huh). Without you, I know I wanted to just sell everything because I have a responsibility to my retired husband for our investments and he could not have dealt with a 20% drop over a 4 month period (and really, neither could I). Being my first experience of major volatility, and it being a large amount of money to us, I was so scared I just wanted it to be over and just give it up. Because of you, I did not sell my stocks and, as of today, I’ve made back all but 4%. Only you are with us every step of the way! You are my stock shepherd. ? I don’t know if I could be here with my investments, at this moment, if it weren’t for you. I am so grateful for you Jason. Please know what a difference you are making for me and I know, many, many others. I love you Jason and I know your parents must sleep well, and are forever grateful, knowing their son is the best stock shepherd they could have.

I started in Bitcoin after a recommendation from Keith in tradesmith in 2020 it has been the single best investment of my short investing career to date. I ended up gong down the 'rabbit hole" and making and then losing money in alt coins and trying my hand at defi. But I have held that original bitcoin that I bought in 2020 and it feels a powerful asset to hold when the money system feels to be devaluing quickly

William - LKQ results "William/TradeSmith have my permission to use the following in their contact with other subscribers, showing my first name and last initial, editing for readability as necessary." William - at the time of the LKQ reco, I didn't like the way the graphs looked - price appeared to be heading for a possible lower high, as did RSI, all within the confines of a longer-term downtrend. So I waited; didn't have to wait long before the price nose-dived. In the meantime, the (very) long-term support around 36ish looked intriguing. Before I could do anything, though, the stock took off (Apr 9). After it hit another lower high and dropped after earnings, I did a buy/write at $37.36/$37.50 CALL for $0.45. Wound up around 1.5% gain in three weeks, or around 30% annualized (you know me - shooting for 2%/mo, if I can get it!). Sometimes, the idea turns out to be not so good, but with a bit of tweaking, who knows?! Keep 'em coming!

I held onto the EQT option long enough to turn positive, closing yesterday for a 10% profit. It went up a little more today, but it’s fighting resistance, so I’m glad to have gotten any profit. I took your advice on the ATO option trade on time to expiration but used the same strike price. The Seasonal Edge Portfolio showed the 4/17 $150 Call gained nearly 35% … a good one. I changed it to 7/18 and the price continued up … a lot. I closed it today for a 74% gain … yeah baby! For EQT, I extended the expiration date and lowered the strike price from 4/25 $53 (total loss) to 6/20 $50 to catch the follow-on bump in May / early June … still waiting for it to be profitable, but getting close."

William, I got a 2.96% gain on my PH stock after a 49 day holding period. So not earth shattering but it is approximately a 22% gain annualized. I did sell a few days prior to your sell reco as I was thinking this could go south at any time😳 Thanks,

Hi William! I just wanted to let you know that you are my favorite part of the TradeSmith Platinum service. I very much appreciate your insightful write ups (in Trade Cycles, Seasonal Edge, and the Seasonality Investor) and all your trades! I just cashed out a call on PH for a 104% gain! And among other successful trades following your lead this year, I have cashed out gains of 104% and 109% on NFLX calls!

I read your article on Stride in TradeCycles last Monday night. I did some research on the seasonality chart and harmonic cycle that same evening. Tuesday morning I bought call options on LRN. Tuesday evening they reported an earnings beat and gave good guidance. Wednesday the stock traded sideways. Thursday and Friday the stock took off. I ended the week with 67% gain on the call options. Will see how it moves next few days. Ironically, my college education , which taught me to read critically, analyze, and make decisions, might just be worth something after all! Appreciate your insight.

I had 80 shares of EQT long before the Seasonality recommendation. Based on it, I bought 100 more shares @48.57 on 4/10. Later, I sold [email protected]. Today I sold 100 @54.00. A very nice gain for such a short time.

Hey William! I closed TTWO early, on 4/14 or about a week into the trade, at 70% profit. I’m holding MO through today. For longer spread trades, I usually do a 70% profit trigger until about 2 weeks before expiration (to free up more $$ and limit risk) then switch to 90%, dropping the trigger the last few days if it looks like it will expire worthless.

Opened MO spread on April 9 for $0.25 credit and will let it expire worthless for 25% return in 2 weeks. I did open a smaller than usual position due to the lopsided risk/reward. I'm relatively experienced with options, so no concern executing this type of trade... was good time to capitalize on the volatility. As always appreciate your analysis and recommendations.

I do not generally take your Trade Cycles trades. However, these three trades I did take and kept them til expiration. With the exception of changing your expiration date to 04/17/2025. On the TTWO I did the 04/17/2025 expiration 197.50/195.00 Put spread and received $69.67 (22% return on risk) On the MO I did the 04/17/2025 expiration 52.00/51.00 Put spread and received 31.68 (36% return on risk) On the MO I did the 04/17/2025 expiration 52.00/51.00 Put spread and received 31.68 (36% return on risk) On the VRTX I did the 04/17/2025 expiration 475.00/472.50 Put spread and received 103.65 (42% return on risk) So, yes I do like them and would like to see more of them. However I do think one has to be more careful with this type of option selling with a tight stop and/or buying back quicker @ say 50% of credit. The only objection I have is the dark blur writing on a black background. I cannot read the dark blue writing. Please chang this to a different color.

Thank you very much for running a terrific service with Seasonality and Trade Cycles. Below is my spreadsheet tracking 50 trades since the start of the year based on your recommendations. Overall fantastic results. A few key notes on the results: 1. You have helped me achieve an 80% win rate with an average gain of 19.8% across all winners and losers (closed positions only). 2. These results are highly impacted by two recommendations - Bookings.com drove $22K of gains and NetFlix drove $14.7K. These represent 90% of my $41.1K of gains. 3. I took a bit of an unorthodox approach to NetFlix. I ended up buying and selling NFLX 8 separate times as the contract price kept moving up and down. Had I waited to sell today instead of yesterday, I would have booked an additional $12K. Oh well, I'll count that as risk management. 4. I monitor my trades frequently throughout most days. When your recommended trades hit gains of 20+% in my account, I generally sell and book a gain close to my average of 19.8%. I'm sure this approach leaves some gains on the table. But is also helps me avoid big losses. For example, I went ahead and sold WGMI this morning for a 40.4% gain. I'll buy it again if it drops down in price. 5. I set a goal for myself of achieving $6,150 of gains per month by allocating $50K - $100K of funds to option trades. My wife and I budgeted to use gains from these funds for luxury travel in our recent retirement. I'm pleased to report that you are helping us crush that goal. Through your assistance we have golfed in Aruba, Florida, Scottsdale and Hilton Head so far this year!

Selling puts with Options 360 is for me a 100% winner. Every Monday I use it to sell my puts for the week. I sell puts using 50% of my margin available and manage to average about $250,000+ a year. I consider that my annual salary.

I wrote to you awhile ago mentioning that when I looked up a stock and scrolled down to see the various parts of information, I often couldn't remember which stock I had looked up by the time I got to the bottom of the information. I asked if you might repeat the ticker and current price along the way down so I didn't have to waste so much time and keep scrolling back to the top to remind myself what I was looking up. You did that. It has helped so much. So thank you very much!!! Now I just have to continue learning how to use all the different parts of TradeSmith much better than I can now. Thanks again. Really appreciate my Platinum membership, and will even more when I can use it more effectively.

Good day Jason, William Bono here: 77 years old, retired production automation engineer, and 18 month beginning investor. My retirement is from a fixed income annuity not associated with the markets. I started investing as a hedge against perceived future uncertainty regarding our country. Most of my investments come from you and Louis Navellier. Even though my portfolio is diversified, like others, its a mess at present. For an inexperienced investor with a small account, this has been quite an experience. Thankfully, my future doesn't rely on my investments for income. I can't imagine the stress that others are dealing with... I never cared much about getting rich. I was enamored with engineering and technology. However, in my ignorance, I always viewed the markets as being controlled by 24 old men with cigars sitting in a dark room making decisions to force the markets to increase their wealth. I never understood the mechanisms that you have described in the "Sell Your Stocks or Lose Your Job" message. I get a LOT of newsletters from TradeSmith, Freeport Society, and InvertorPlace. I have never read a better and more understandable description of the operation of the market process than yours. Most editors don't go into the somewhat "Rage against the Machine" details as you have. Starting with only $5,000 dollars, I now have about $65K. Some from profits and some from money transfers to the account. Sadly, I don't believe that I have sufficient years to grow a really large account, as I can't get a good balance between short term investment and longer term growth investment. Never the less, your recommendations have been very helpful. From 1 January 2024 to 10 February 2025 up 36% From 10 February 2025 to Today down -11.89% What a ride!! As you discussed previously and recommended, I'm holding fast and waiting for the inevitable bounce. Thanks for your insight and comments on the inside workings of the market. I'm not sure how one would get such information outside of a book...

As you discussed previously and recommended, I'm holding fast and waiting for the inevitable bounce. Thanks for your insight and comments on the inside workings of the market. I'm not sure how one would get such information outside of a book...

Trade Cycles

I find TradeSmith to be a very professional organization. I had used different aspects of TradeSmith services a couple of years ago and was very pleased. Recently I had received an e-mail from them concerning a new service they offer called Trade Cycles by William McCanless with another investment strategy called the Seasonal Edge. I listened to the promotional info regarding these two new services, and they made total sense to me, so I subscribed to the Trade Cycles program. What I'm partial to is purchasing options, however, they give alerts for the purchase of stocks and/or options. I subscribed to Trade Cycles the first week of January 2025 and on January 10th I made my 1st Seasonal Edge options purchase, for only $1,906, as I wanted to see its results. I sold that purchase on 1/24/25 for a 78.49% profit. Liking that return on 1/13/25 I made a 2nd Seasonal Edge options purchase, once again for a small amount of only $2,010. I sold those options on 2/4/25 for a 90% profit.. By 2/10 I have purchased twelve more Seasonal Edge options recommendations and three Trade Cycles options recommendations, but have upped my purchase amount to an average of $5,000 for each purchase. A few of the purchases of the Seasonal Edge buys have been a bust, however the majority were wins, with an overall profit of Seasonal Edge buys of $15,612.98 and profit of $4,621.80 on the three Trade Cycles, for a total PROFIT of $20,234.78. Since 2/5/25 I've opened nine more Seasonal Edge option trades and two Trade Cycles options trades, all of which are still open, So I'll see how these will do. As a matter of interest, my top performing trades were. 209%, 160%, 111.62%, 90%, and 82% profits. Consequently, I feel quite satisfied with my 1st month using this new TradeSmith strategy. P.S. I believe in the services TradeSmith provides and intend to use they're services for many years in the future. Therefore, I have recently upgraded my subscriptions plan to their Platinum Membership for life, that I can leave to an heir. Respectfully your Dale Mandelkow

Seasonal Edge Trader

Off to a great start. Bought PH call at 18 on the 20th. Sold it today at 30 for a 67% gain in five days (annualized 4800+%). Could have held longer, but it never hurts to take a profit. Here's hoping for future gains.

Dear Platinum team: I subscribed to Jeff Clark's work for 3-4 years starting in 2017. I learned quite a bit about options trading and technical analysis from him as I had just starting my trading journey. I had access to Jeff Clark Trader, Delta Report, Jeff Clark Direct, and his Market Minute so I am very familiar with his style and work. I am SO glad I upgraded to TradeSmith Platinum a few years ago. You keep serving up more & more "heapin' helpins" 🙂

Just want to say, the addition of the Swan brothers' Earnings Season Pass product to Platinum is huge! Can't express in writing how pumped I am about it.

Keith, this is great, you have really kept your word for Platinum members and it is very much appreciated.  I am telling friends that reach out to me for investing advice that this is the best advice I can give them.  I am sure others are as well, hopefully you will continue to gain new members, it will be well deserved.

Trade Cycles

Good afternoon, William (Bill). Per your request, I am responding to the latest mailbag for TradeCycles. Maybe the following two actions are worthy topics for the mailbag. #1 Maybe I've gone rogue because I closed out some positions ahead of time. It seems like many of the trades are in the red at the moment; however, I closed out 3 early in the black: GLD on March 03 for a 12.8% ROI ATO on March 04 f0r a 34.3% ROI MSCI on January 27 for an 8.6% ROI I guess the question is "should I have hung in with the trades?" Profit is not a 4 letter word; however, did I leave money on the table overall by exiting when I thought I should? As for the balance of our current open trades that I have entered, I am still holding and, yes, they are in the red.. #2 I've written 3 calls based on articles/statements by Tradesmith/Investor Place and with some due diligence/study on my part. These 3 option calls, as well as the Cycle trades, are all new actions for me as I've only written covered calls and cash covered puts in the past. Just as an opinion (not investment advice) are the following 3 calls reasonable in your opinion (any critique would be appreciated)? UBER 250516C0072.5000 @ $6.20 TSLA 250719C00295000 @ $42.37 EAT 250417C00165000 @ $10.81 I had sent in an email to you earlier with my preliminary results from the service. I don't know if you ever received it as the correspondence seemed to have been handled by customer service. I,m enjoying the service and thank you for your time and efforts in guiding this group through a volatile time in the market.

Trade Cycles

A quick letter of thanks for your service. It got off rather badly with a 100% loss ($1,916) on INTU options and for the next couple weeks I closed a couple moderate winners, but was looking at a large net loss and ALL open positions in the red. Then suddenly it all flipped and I closed ADI for a 289% ($2,393) gain and ended my first month with 60.74% win rate and net gain of $1,547. Quite a turnaround! My take right now is to go more with your Trade Cycles picks and not so much the Seasonal Edge algorithm.

Quantum Edge Pro

I hope all is well. I just wanted to send some feedback about Jason's service Quantum Edge Pro and also the newer Alpha Signals by Lucas. I know that Trade smith is build on world class algorithms and years of data, it is disappointing that this is very much US centric and doesn't cover much of Australia, but that's another point and the reason why I have to get up early and only buy/sell the US markets. Jason and Lucus's services don't really use a lot of Trade smith's features, but what I like is that it is 100% data driven and relies on the history of data, for that recommendations. My feedback is around Trade smith constantly changing/stopping services over time. I would strongly urge to always have Jason and Lucas's services part of trade smith, forever. To be honest I would be lost without both services, that's how much I like the 2 services. I am 46 years old and manage our own SMSF and I reply on Tradesmith and the work like Jason and Lucas's. My goal over the next 20 years is to get good enough at trading the stock market, to retire and do it full time, so that I can be located anywhere in the world. I have made a lot of mistakes and lost a lot of money over the past few years, but I am getting better because of the daily education from Tradesmith and the services like Quantum Edge Pro and also the newer Alpha Signals. I also want to teach my kids what I didn't get taught when I was growing up. At the end of the day its about how much money you make and the strategy for managing the risk, but both services relay on strong companies, both fundamental and technical. I like the idea of the Predictive Alpha/Prime, but since the introduction of Alpha Signals, I can't trade everything, so I use this in conjunction with the Alpha Signals recommendations. Again please never get rid of Jason and Lucas and there services, if anything adapt them with the developments of the software, I see them and their work a major part of the Trade smith software moving forward.

Jesse I wanted to say thanks for all the help and the discounts…I’m so happy I found Tradesmith and Masters in Trading.  Following William McCanless and Jonathon Rose has been fantastic…I’ve experienced some nice gains already with the Seasonal Edge and MIT…I also like the others too (Predictive, Quantum and Alpha Signals). You guys are doing awesome stuff and I’m really benefiting!

Quantum Edge Pro

Hi Jason, I appreciated this latest video explaining how your strategy is designed for mid-to-long-term trading compared to some of the Tradesmith tools designed for relatively shorter-term trading. I've been following most of your recommendations since you started Quantum Edge and have done well. I also like being able to use your Quantum Score on other ideas. I now don't make any trades without first checking the score. Because I work full time, your research and tools enable me to confidently trade individual stocks rather than just index funds. I just do a few minutes of research on the companies, so I'm not blindly jumping into a stock. I also like your videos because you come across as a real person rather than a polished, scripted talking head. Like you, I'm a software and finance nerd, and in my job, I make videos and facilitate and train groups. I'm more comfortable doing research and crunching numbers than being on camera. I suspect a lot of your followers are similar.

Hey William, I wanted to Thank you for your recent video on Swing Trades! I have been following your service and some of the recommendations since you started at TSmith. I have to say this is one of the best educational videos on the use of the TSmith Seasonality tools that I have seen yet, and I appreciate your candid and open discussion on how you use the tools. Thanks Again and Good Trading!
