She has been able to guide me through some very difficult life situations that involve close relationships and grieving the death of my parents. Because I have space to process these things outside of work, it has helped me be more present and successful at work, and with the relationships I have at work. I had met in person with a counselor earlier in my life, so I understood what value counseling has in my life. It was not too difficult to transition to phone counseling, but I could see how not being in person or seeing the counselor through Zoom might be difficult for someone new to counseling.
