Abbas was a standout in our Product Management Bootcamp, finishing top of the class. I had the privilege of working alongside Abbas during our Master of Management Analytics program at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. We collaborated on several challenging projects, including the LipNet project, where we implemented neural networks for lip-reading and speech recognition tasks. Abbas had a very good technical acumen when he was undertaking his MBA in IIT Delhi. He was very competitive and also collaborative. In his Masters thesis, he developed a pricing model for real estate assets based in amneties. His understanding of AI/ML is quite decent. Overall, he was quite focused and motivated as a student.

I mentored Abbas in the niche field of data quality, governance, and risk compliance, and found him to be a quick learner who is adept at developing solutions using open-source programming libraries in Python. He has applied advanced algorithms such as regression using neural networks, and time series analysis. Abbas's competencies in these areas are remarkable. During his time with Wipro, Abbas's professional accomplishments were outstanding. He won the FLASH Award from the Data and Analytics Practice within his first six months of joining the organization, and was also the runner-up in the Informatica Hackathon. He demonstrated leadership qualities by managing teams both offshore and onsite, and was instrumental in training and mentoring his peers in Tableau and Python. Abbas has consistently shown improvement in two key areas that would be valuable to any organization: entrepreneurship and subject matter expertise. He has identified market gaps in the offerings of different data governance products and used that knowledge to build client-oriented offerings. Additionally, he has improved his understanding and domain knowledge of market-leading technologies through several training programs and vendor-sponsored workshops.
