The One Jesus Loves
Heading into the Bario Revival Tour, I was seeking God for clarity and direction. There were big decisions I had to make that would directly influence the direction of my life. There was a lot of uncertainty and questions and I pleaded God for answers, and that I would catch His fire again. We had visited the House of Prayer on the second day of the trip, where we spent time in worship and prayer. When we were being prayed for by the intercessors, God revealed to me that I had been harbouring a lot of hurt and unforgiveness in my heart. Even though I wanted answers, God instead worked on the areas I was reluctant to surrender, and what He needed to deal with the most. While they were praying for me, I felt a release in my heart and my spirit. I felt the unconditional deep and overflowing love of my Heavenly Father wash over me. Peace filled my mind, my heart and my spirit. And I felt free! There were also many other moments where God did speak to me and give me the clarity I was seeking about the different areas of my life. I have truly never felt so close to Jesus and this was truly a life-changing trip. Thank You, Jesus, for the opportunity and to have received so much! Send Your fire once again!

This week, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Bario with my team. Initially, I wasn't sure what to expect. I had heard stories about the Ba'kelalan revival and the remarkable events of the '70s. I knew there would be no hot water in my bathroom and, to my dismay, bugs everywhere. If you know me, you know I absolutely HATE bugs! Despite that, I was thrilled because I've always wanted to be part of a trip like this. Upon arriving in Bario, I was captivated by its beauty, and I even got to ride in the back of a pickup truck, which was a fun experience—though I quickly realized there was no air conditioning! One of the days included a dawn prayer from 5 to 6 AM. Now, if you know me, you know I am NOT a morning person. On Fridays, I usually wake up around lunchtime. So, when I learned the prayer started at 5 AM, I was seriously contemplating skipping it. That night, I prayed, "Dear God, PLEASE help me wake up at 4:30 AM." I went to bed feeling hopeful. The next morning, I woke up thinking it was still around 11 PM, and I tried to go back to sleep. But just five minutes later, my mom woke up and turned on a flashlight, which made it impossible for me to doze off again. Curious, I checked my phone and saw it was 4:20 AM. I thought, "OH MY MAMA, IT'S 4 AM???? I guess it's a sign to go!" I quickly got ready, and I truly believe it was the Holy Spirit that woke me up. As I mentioned earlier, I am NOT a morning person, so waking up at 4:20 AM was nothing but miraculous. My mom didn’t wake me, and my alarm was set for 4:30 AM, so I know it was truly the Holy Spirit The revival in Bario was absolutely amazing; it made me reflect on the miraculous nature of faith. I remember being at the Wind Chapel, specifically at Revival Hill. The peace there was indescribable—so profound that words fail to capture it. It was a unique kind of peace, the kind that only God can provide. I am truly grateful for this experience, and I even survived the cicadas! ♥️

Hello Ohana! Happy Revival-sary to me! ☺️🤍 Just realised it’s been a year since I first came to church! It’s truly been a year of rollercoaster ride, filled with rediscovery and spiritual growth. Biggest takeaway - I first encountered God during one of the most contented seasons of my life, feeling loved, secure, and blessed with some of the greatest breakthroughs in both life and work. Trusting God came pretty easily back then (haha). But as the year unfolded, there was a lot of tug-of-war between what I was learning as a baby Christian and the realities I faced in relationships, work, and personal growth. There were moments of heartbreak, uncertainty, and lots of questioning. And yet, through it all, God remained faithful and continued to work in ways I never could have imagined. A year later, He has restored my joy, strengthened my faith, and taught me how to love deeply, keep a soft heart, and choose forgiveness. I may have met God on the mountaintop, but it was deep in the depths of the valley that I truly experienced His faithfulness 🙌🏻 🤍

A few days ago, a group of us from church visited Bario. Our senior Pastor Jeremy had often spoken about how the revival touched this small town in Sarawak, so I went with zero expectations but a hungry heart. The presence of the Holy Spirit was so real, both at Revival Hill and during the House of Prayer. Before the trip, I had a knee injury that had lingered for many months. I hesitated to climb the prayer mountain because I worried about my knee, and I’m also afraid of heights. But in my heart I knew there was a purpose. As I climbed, I didn’t think about my injury, and I overcame my fear of heights. At the top, I surrendered my life and my family to God, and I specifically prayed for my knee to be healed. By God’s grace and mercy, I received a miraculous healing, and the pain in my knee is gone. God is a Father who hears us when we keep asking, seeking and knocking. Bario also taught me to be humble. It reminded me that I come to God with empty hands, and that everything I received was by His grace, not by my own strength. I thank God, and the pastors, for the opportunity to go and encounter Him. To God be the glory

I want to give thanks to God for the pushes and nudges to say yes to going for the Bario Revival Tour. From being blessed by Pst Jeremy, to exam schedules being literally perfectly spread apart that I didn’t have to miss or postponed any lessons planned (income protected) to being in perfect health before and during the entire trip. During the trip I am very thankful for 2 main things: 1. Very specific Word in season being released into me, through the pastor there. It was pinpoint accuracy 100% what I’ve been seeking God for through this year. Have never met the pastor before, he doesn’t know my life story, didn’t even really converse with him and yet when he prayed for me and released the Word, I couldn’t deny that it was truly God speaking to me. 2. Despite huge apprehension and much reservation, through God’s strength and the encouragement of those there, especially the RVVL team, I was able to climb a literal mountain!! Going up and going down, an elevation of 1200M+, steepness of at certain parts 80 degrees, with NO STAIRS, NO TRAINING, NO PREPARATION, and it was truly through God that I was able to reach the chapel on the Prayer Mountain in Bario. Throughout the ascent and descent of the mountain, Nothing is Impossible by planetshakets and Chris Tomlin’s My God, was just playing on loop in my mind. What blessed me the most was when I finally finished climbing down the mountain, there they were, Alex, Des and Roy just shouting at the top of their lungs “YOU DID IT!” What more, I thought I would be paralyzed after climbing the mountain, but praise God! Just after one day, was able to walk normally and there was no Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness, even up to today (3 days after climbing) God is good!!

Earlier last week, I woke up having a sore left arm after possibly sleeping in the wrong position. The pain persisted for a few days, and I couldn’t extend it normally - even carrying my daughter was challenging. Yesterday during the altar call, Ps Ling called for healing and specifically mentioned joints. I took the step of faith and started slowly stretching and extending my left arm. It was still painful earlier that morning, but at that moment, the pain reduced and I was able to extend it! Throughout the day, the pain lessened and mobility was much better. This morning as I woke up, I realized that I had absolutely no pain in my left arm whatsoever! I was able to pick up my daughter as usual without any discomfort! I am so grateful for God’s healing and how He cares for us more than we could ever know, and God moving powerfully in our service 🥹
