I imagine my situation is not uncommon. I had an existing resume that has performed well but something simply does not feel right. After spending more than 20 years in my field in various Freelance, Contract, Company Owner, and Employed positions I was having a hard time aligning and aggregating all my experiences into something easy-to-read and directly applicable to the positions I truly wanted. Perhaps more importantly in 2021, my resume was not "bot" friendly and I missed out on several opportunities due to imcompatible formatting and missing keywords.I grew frustrated with my own attempts to update my resume. Subsequently I Googled and contacted a couple of resume writing companies that had decent reviews. I was thoroughly impressed with ResumeSpice from the first phone call. The person that answered the phone was extremely knowledgeable about the business and provided me with a very detailed explanation of what I could expect. I had an amazing councilor named Chandler who did an amazing job working on my resume. I got stuck for years thinking it was beautiful but in todays age with the automated filtering companies use I just wasn't making it through. Even with a hurricane she managed to use the information on my current resume and answers to questions when we spoke on the phone to make a resume and cover letter worth reading. I was really skeptical when I bought into this because of the cost but after having done it I now realize the amount of time and effort that she put into my resume was worth every penny spent. If you're having trouble finding a job and can afford to have your resume done by someone whether it's here or not, I highly recommend doing so. Obviously I would recommend ResumeSpice but that's because of my knowledge now and even before I ordered my resume the reviews and comments I found showed them to be a true company that talks with you and helps you. There are many companies out there that give you a copy paste no phone conversation type of resume so watch out for those.
