The best part of REV UC was being surrounded by other students challenging themselves and learning new ways to solve issues. I decided to participate because I’m a first year student and thought this would be a great opportunity to put my skills to the test while also exposing myself to new ideas. The 1819 Innovation Hub creates the perfect open spaced environment to work collaboratively while also providing entertainment for breaks.

The best part of rev UC for me was the learning experience. This is my first hackathon. I have worked on projects before but working with such a tight time frame was a great new learning exp. I decided to participate in REVUC because i went a year of college without attending a hackathon! I love this place, very cozy and caters to all our needs for the project.

The best part of RevolutionUC was going to the workshops an meeting new people. I participated because I've always wanted to experience a hackathon and this was the perfect opportunity to do so. Revolution UC allows for the open flow of ideas that span across multiple industries which is exciting for myself as I love to learn about new and viable solutions to problems old and new. I decided to participate because a friend told me to go and after looking into it I was intrigued. I love and have loved the innovation hub. I utilize the esports space as a player and exploring the rest of the building was a good time.

Rev uc seems to be pretty beginner friendly! When you think of a hackathon a lot of people think of something intimidating. Rev UC kind of took that fear out of me, a first time hackathon goer. I participated because hackathons are huge resume boosters and saying that you’ve participated in a few shows a thirst for knowledge and companies eat that up. I liked the space, its clean and easy to navigate, but it wasn’t comfortable. There’s lots of space, but it’s useless space, tons of the seating arrangements aren’t the most comfy things ever, and having to bend over and hunchback while sitting because the desks are super low is irritating. Still a nice place! Just not a place I find comfy enough to sit down and sit work on a computer for 20+ hours at!

REV UC provided me with a lot of external resources and helpful staff members to guide me through the correct path and innovated many ideas. Challenges popped up during the way such as using two completely new programming languages and finding teammates, but they were resolved relatively quickly. The 1819 Innovation Hub was very spacious, convenient in room positioning and the food was really enjoyable. Overall, I had a lot of fun, and would be looking forward to participating in REV UC next year!
