Service was decent. Nothing extraordinary. Food was fresh. Nothing exciting. Ambiance was good. We went on a Saturday evening. It was almost packed by the time we left (close to 8 pm). During our search for a place to eat, we noticed that Sea Bar has high reviews and is a popular place in Great Neck for fresh seafood. So we gave it a try. We started with the raw oysters. Not fishy but no flavor. We also had the fried calamari. Very tender. For the main course, my daughter had the ahi tuna which was lightly seared on the edges and came with a side. She had the fries and told us that the fries was her favorite part of the meal! My husband had the lemon sole with fingerling potatoes. He said the fish was fresh but didn't finish the potatoes. I had the linguine with lobster. It wasn't too heavy, which is a good thing. The lobster was fresh but some pieces were a little rubbery. Since this place is not too far from home and parking was just across the street, maybe I'll give Sea Bar another try.

A cozy seafood restaurant we stumbled upon Great Neck. Open kitchen style and decor was tasteful … I thought I was in Manhattan. We ordered the octopus for appetizer and grouper for dinner. Octopus was grilled well and yet remained soft not gummy. The seasoning could have been better though. Balsamic as seasoning didn’t do much for me. Grouper on the other hand was delicious. Dishes were all creatively plated. Staff were accommodating. Glad to found Sea bar and definitely we will come back.
