I have been in the organisation for more than 10 years and I believe I have most of the info and knowledge of the organisation's products and services. However I had challenges trying to put across or convince the other party to implement programmes and services in/for the partner's beneficiaries. With the frameworks and tools learned, I am more confident to apply them when communicating with partners, from being aware of the touch points to tips on closing deals.

Before attending Sofian's Stakeholder Communications training, my approach to engaging stakeholders—whether beneficiaries, donors, or partners—was often one-sided. One of the reasons that attracted me to attend the Freelance is The Future Summit by The Freelancers Academy was because Abu Sofian was one of the speakers for the event. Before engaging Sofian, we did not have a clearly documented process and were uncertain about how to structure and formalise our workflows. Following the session, we were able to systematically document our processes, identify key bottlenecks, and develop practical solutions to address them. The session provided clarity, structure, and a more strategic approach to improving our operational efficiency.

Expecting the team to grill down with the details but thru the two-day session I realised it is important to get the concepts, understanding and buy-in from everyone in the team before you work on the details. Thanks to Coach Sufyan for the encouragement, facilitation and enlightening delivery and guidance for the team.

We have many workflows which are manually done with duplication from various staff. With clarity and ownership of the various workflows, we are able to systemise and automate the various activities with all staff involvement. The lessons learnt today were indeed beneficial, and applicable both in a mosque setting and also in my job as a first responder having to face all sorts of members of public. The frameworks and skills are indeed one I will incorporate in both my line of full time job and volunteering work.

Buy-In gives me more clarity on what is important, and how to keep that which is important in priority, especially when facing stakeholders.

Sofyan addressed alot of the skills needed to provide enhanced service to mosque visitors and provided clear examples. Highly recommended workshop.

I think that I my communication skills need to be more effective especially in persuasion and influencing others. After applying what I've learned in this workshop, it is actually much easier to implement these techniques no matter the situation.

Before: When interacting with Jemaah, some of my approaches were well-received while others were less effective, depending on the situation. After Buy-In: The frameworks and tools gave me new perspectives and practical methods, allowing me to adapt my approach more intentionally. Results: I now have greater confidence and multiple options to handle different situations effectively, leading to more consistent and positive interactions.

Abu Sofian’s methods of coaching is very straightforward & clear. The role plays were good examples of the current situation in mosques. Really recommend to engage him for courses/classes.
