Finally a testimonial from a 'same name' 🤣 I had been a freelancer and job seeker who recently got offered a full-time position in public healthcare and want to work on my social media presence and real life presentation. I first heard of Abu Sofian via TFA Summit event in early Nov. I was also interested in his subsequent Zoom workshop called the Storytelling Leader Showcase. I learned about how to communicate my points in an interesting way. The content was simple and straightforward, which is also how our story is supposed to be. At the end, participants were challenged to do a short story which is the most important aspect. It was not easy but I can only get better from here. I attended brother Abu Sofian’s workshop on speaking for impact and I indeed found it very profound and beneficial. In the workshop, he covered from having a strong opening to captivate your audience, to how you send your audience with strong takeaways. He also elaborated on the different speaking techniques that could be used in different scenarios. For example, one of the techniques was PREP. PREP would be one of the techniques where you structure your speech based on POINT, REASON, EXAMPLE, and POINT. He explained how this technique allows speakers, to stay objective on a topic yet remain persuasive and give a stronger way to the objective the speaker wants to spread across. All in All, I was glad to have attended the workshop as it served as an excellent crash course on how you can strive to speak with an impact. The speaking techniques such as the PREP, and OSLA, are put in place for the different scenarios, a person might be to speak in our everyday life. Abu Sofian always ensures to engage the audience and sets in an environment where participants are free to ask questions also Abu Sofian ensures to address the questions put forth by the participants and always ensures to ask further, to get a deeper of the participant's view of an issue they are facing. As a participant, I'm glad that I attended the workshop and would ask others to also connect with him regarding their professional development and also to improve their speaking skills.
