I’m Florian, a group lead for TRUMPF in the development department. I joined Fresh Start because I felt that after two years in the manager role, I still wasn’t where I wanted to be. I read Heather’s Substack intensively and knew that her way of leadership really resonated with me. My biggest learning from the course was that my main role is to empower the people around me and how I need to focus on the uncomfortable conversations to really grow. I really feel empowered and have much more clarity on what to work on in my team. I have a broad toolset of what and how to do things differently. I have the reassurance that my approach is a good one and that we, as leaders, don’t know everything. It’s okay to show your failures and that you’re learning.
