Wall of love for Shimmer ADHD Coaching
Shimmer was life changing. I got a promotion I hadn't been able to get in 20 years.
Just several weeks into Shimmer I am in FAR better physical shape than I have been in years. Turns out that the daily checklist is brutal! I always hit my 8000 step min and my daily (rotating) weight lift routine. This never happened before. Also my diet calories are down around 12% (I count) which is also a huge breakthrough. My tummy is flat now and I have spring in my step. Seriously that checklist is so brutal! Several times at 10pm instead of going to bed I went downstairs to the gym and hit the weights and/or treadmill. Nothing else could make me do that. It's so weird, I mean, it's just software right? But it rules my life! At the end of the day, either I can check the box or I can't. It just sits there staring back at me! Oh yeah, my LDL cholesterol is down to 85 now, a safe zone; I've been near 100 for years, which is dangerous. Thanks!

I wish I’d started years ago. For what you get, it’s a no-brainer.
Before Shimmer, I got to the point with so much failure, so many promises to myself that I just kept not keeping, that I honestly thought I just couldn’t be a successful person. I couldn’t meet my goals.
Over the past year of coaching, it’s been totally revolutionary for me. I'd guess my productivity is up 30%, which as a self-employed person has been huge. I even went on my first vacation in years where I wasn’t constantly stressed about everything I was behind on, I was actually caught up and able to be present.
Another benefit was sleep, which I wasn’t expecting. I’ve probably averaged less than five hours a night for the last decade and didn’t realize sleep resistance is super common among ADHDers. I was able to apply the same strategies I was using to avoid distraction at work to my bedtime routine which has led to at least a 25% increase in my sleep, and some huge downstream impacts in my health and mind.
And I don’t feel alone anymore. Whether I have a great week or a terrible one, I’ve always got someone there who understands me and helps me figure out the next step. It’s been totally life-changing for me.
If you’re on the fence, just try it. I wish I’d started years ago. For what you get, it’s a no-brainer. I probably spend the same amount on subscriptions I don't use.

For a really long time, I kept seeing Shimmer in my Instagram feed, and I thought to myself, "I don't need another thing!" I had spent so much on the ADHD tax already. Then, one day, I finally took the time to research Shimmer and found that real people with ADHD were behind it, and doctors and academic institutions backed it. It felt like something worthwhile to try out—something for us ADHDers by ADHDers and research-backed.
Anyway, I finally pulled the trigger and am SO glad I did. My Shimmer Coach and the app have a real understanding of ADHD and keep me accountable for what I know I need to do. I'm currently working with my coach on setting up a better routine to complete my dissertation and other goals I want to accomplish. Every day, when I go into the app to check off my tasks, I know my coach is on the other end, and that accountability motivates me to actually complete it.
I highly recommend Shimmer to anyone who has tried many things and nothing has worked, or to those who are newly diagnosed and don't want to jump through all the hoops I had to! I wish I had found Shimmer earlier!

I have really high standards as a coach in another field, and to be supported by an ADHD coach has been so beneficial.
It's been very helpful in building my own awareness—for what works and doesn't work for me. It doesn't feel prescriptive at all. It's truly like: here's a possible frame of reference of something that has helped another ADHD person, and try it out. And I'm like, 'This does actually work.' That empowers me in my ADHD journey, not to be like plug and chug.
If I say something during the session, she types it out and sends it to me later, and it holds me accountable. And if I change my mind, it's okay—she's not gonna be like, 'Oh, but two weeks ago we said this in our notes.' Instead, she's like, 'Okay, so I'm hearing there's a little bit of a change, let's be flexible.'
And my coach doesn't just pepper me with compliments—I have a very sensitive BS meter… she's legit. I'm really pleased.

I was diagnosed with ADHD as a teenager. Over the last twenty years, I have read many books on ADHD, have taken meds, tried a gazillion different systems for organizing, and have spent years in therapy trying to understand why my brain would just not get on the same page as neurotypical people.
It took me many months to decide to sign up for Shimmer; I felt so much shame around my executive dysfunction and the frequent sense of internal chaos that accompanies this condition that I wasn’t sure if this could finally be the thing that would work for me.
When I began to work this program, I felt quietly hopeful. I could tell the people who made this app and program not only “got it” insofar as ADHD goes, but also were devising something that was truly inclusive of the neurodivergent / neurospicy community.
Once I began utilizing the education modules (to understand how ADHD works and how I could improve my symptoms over time), creating SMART goals and actions, doing body doubling sessions and working with my awesome coach Leighanna, who really gets me and has been a fantastic support, to see what would “stick” to the proverbial wall, I noticed a gradual and consistent improvement in so many areas of my life.
—I can’t believe it, quite honestly. Has this been the thing that’s been missing my whole life?
—YES: yes it has.
Thank you, Shimmer. You’ve given me a new sense of hope and meaning, confidence and happiness. This program truly works when one puts in the time …and there sure doesn’t seem to be anything else like it.
—I can’t quite imagine my life without it.
Thank you. Really.

Since I joined Shimmer, I feel cheered on no matter how I'm doing. My coach Cailey is very supportive and understanding. She is flexible and creative when we are brainstorming goals together.

Working with Staci has been stellar.
Every week it’s like being sent out on the playing field with the greatest cheerleader bolstering me from the sidelines. Our sessions always change the trajectory of my day for the better. My coach consistently provides clear, actionable advice that helps specifically with whatever I’m up against; and if I didn’t have the best week, she’s always calm and encouraging, never pushing too hard but just enough to get me back in the game. I highly recommend Shimmer!

I could not have asked for a better resource to help me navigate living life with ADHD, and for it for be affordable and attainable is such a blessing! Working with Shimmer (and my coach, Staci) is helping me understand my ADHD, learn how to implement simple habits that make a big impact over time, and to keep myself accountable while also giving myself grace when I need to.
