Shreyas Doshi's World-Class Product Sense course
Just finished @shreyas' product sense course.
It really does live up to the hype.
There is *no* other way to learn what is taught in the course. Which can't be said about the vast majority of courses you take.
Content is original and isn't a rehashing of product frameworks.
I’ve been telling product stories for 15 years and I thought my unimpeachable product sense would help me build two tech companies.
I just took @shreyas “Improving Your Product Sense” course and learned what product sense really is. If you’re building, I suggest you do the same.
I just completed Shreyas Doshi's World Class Product Sense in Practice course 🥳
It's hard to describe just how unique this course is. It's given me a whole new lens for every important facet of Product. I have the tools now, and I'm certain I'm going to be learning from the materials for years to come.
Beyond the content itself, the learning experience has been one of a kind. 8 days of 40+ hours of live sessions, the longest of which went on for 8 hours and finished past 2 a.m - with two 3 MINUTE breaks. And somehow it never went stale, it never got boring, and I was never tempted to alt-tab to something else while Shreyas was talking. It's just a masterpiece of learning, so well crafted that you don't dare look away for a second in case you miss something. It's also the most immersive and interactive learning experience I have had - beating every physical course I have ever been to by miles.
The amount of thought and planning that has gone into the course is amazing, and just reinforces Shreyas' product skills. Every single question was simulated and the story made so clear throughout.
While everything about the course sets it apart from other courses I've taken, there's one really important bit in the title - in practice. The entire course is set up for you to practice every one of the taught skills, so that you leave secure in the knowledge that you know how to continue to break down product skills in your own domains (and private lives!) afterwards. No frameworks and only one template (to be strictly used as a communication tool, NOT a thinking crutch). Everything geared towards teaching us how to improve the quality of our own thinking.
Huge thanks to Shreyas and the December cohort who made the experience even better! It was great learning alongside you, and I plan to stay in touch and practice with you 🚀
Never want to work with a PM who hasn’t taken @shreyas product sense course.
He expertly breaks down the very elusive skills of product management. No process or tactics, he teaches high quality thinking. twitter.com/blader/status/1850284008376266973
a founder DMed me to ask what i thought of @shreyas product sense course, and if it would be worth it for him as a busy ceo with 2 kids, and this is what i wrote back:
Shreyas Doshi was kind enough to let me participate last minute in his product sense course. Overall, I'd highly recommend taking it.
He's compressed the essence of how to spot and build venture-scale products. In less than a week, you’ll have useful and tactical frameworks to apply for yourself. It’s useful for founders at early stage startups to leaders at late stage companies.
His sessions on positioning, segmentation, and differentiation are novel and useful. For the density of actionable & unique takes that this course offers, it is well worth the cost and time for busy founders, execs & eng/product/design team.
@shreyas’ Maven course >> HBS. Would recommend anyone building product to take it!
Over the past week, I've spent 30+ hours live with Shreyas Doshi, and it’s already changing how I approach product work.
A lot of courses hand you frameworks and textbook examples. World Class Product Sense is different. It's practical. You learn systematic ways to break down ambiguous problems and make structured, high-quality product decisions.
A few topics that really clicked for me:
- What drives users to choose a product (and what gets in the way)
- Positioning + segmentation you can actually use
- Building stronger “taste” and turning it into team-level action
- Concrete creativity techniques for better product ideas
If you’re trying to sharpen your product sense, I genuinely can’t think of a better investment.
I was curious about the hype and decided to sign up to spend a couple of weekends in Shreyas Doshi's product sense class.
A friend asked me what I was hoping to get out of the class, and this made me think. The truth is that after PMing for a little under a decade, I still often felt like I was picking between two or more bad options. Was this how real life went, or was I missing something? Further, I have read a lot of books that are recommended to PMs but often find that application in real life is hit-or-miss.
Despite having made the argument to a friend, I still felt uncertain. Am I signing up to hear a whole lot of what I have already read or heard or experienced? I hoped for better but prepared myself to not be too disappointed.
The class is now over and I am still reeling from all that I learned and most of all, all that I now need to set out to unlearn. What felt like a vague art form now feels like a muscle just in need of more reps if only I am willing to be creative and give myself the right prompts. What felt very hard before now feels like a fun challenge if I just "let it percolate" a little bit more.
I share this because if there are some of you who have been following Shreyas and been on the fence about the course, I am happy to chat and share more about my experience live. Feel free to message me.
I think @shreyas's Product Sense course might have reformatted my brain.
Yup.
Profound. Raw. Empowering. These words encapsulate my experience of Shreyas' course on Product Sense. This was easily one of the best investments I've made into myself and career. I'm seeing the world through different lenses and noticing things that I was missing after one week. This course was so good it made me excited to wake up 2am local time to attend! Thanks for an amazing week Shreyas Doshi and team!
Highly recommend this course - check it out!
Just wrapped up Shreyas Doshi's course on Product Sense and my cup is overflowing! It's hard to overstate how much it's changed how I think about products and craft. If you're a mid- to advanced-career product person -- PM/Eng/UX/etc. -- looking to seriously level up your product thinking or get unstuck, I cannot recommend this course enough.
Four things stood out:
1. Many courses focus on theory, but this course delivered proven, practical skills to make better product decisions: motivation theory, segmentation, positioning, simulation, strategy, product taste and more.
2. Practicing deep thinking as a way to arrive at clarity about users, products, and ourselves.
3. Learning new skills is valuable, and I was amazed by how much I could apply right away with real results—some even before completing the course.
4. Even though the focus on the course is on product sense skills, it covered how to use these skills in the real world. That combination is rare.
Shreyas's delivery is masterful, and the 40+ hour course is engaging and incredibly well thought out. I'm so grateful for the opportunity. Thank you, Shreyas and team!

p.s. I wish I took this when I first heard about it. If you are on the fence or have any questions about my experience, please DM me.
I’m really picky, especially with business courses and frameworks. Prior to taking the course, I had high expectations. I rarely take courses and I myself have taught courses, ran workshops, done professional services and ran a consulting companies. Plus coached individuals and teams. You won’t find me recommending anything without being able to back it up. You couldn’t pay me to promote someone else’s course. The Product Sense course teaches you a way of thinking that you won’t find in any business book. Shreyas has truly mastered the topic and teaches it like a great professor would. Comparable to @sgblank and his customer development methodology. Truly timeless business dirt.
This last weekend my brother Arthur Zey and I just finished the "Improving Your Product Sense" course by Shreyas Doshi.
Unlike most courses that aim to give you specific tactics, frameworks, and processes to use - this week-long course aims to improve the quality of your thinking and arm you with different mental models and perspectives to make better decisions.
By that score, I consider the class a resounding success and I'm eager to apply our insights to sharpen up our strategy and product definitions at RP Strength.
If you're a founder of or senior product manager for a software company, I think you'll get a ton of value out of the course. Check it our here:
Last week I had the privilege of joining Shreyas' first cohort of his Product Sense class. When I signed up, I thought I would have "free time" since I'm on maternity leave. Turns out maternity leave does not mean "free time" 😅 But I really wanted to take the course anyway! I ended up hiring a nanny during the main class times so I could really be present, and that was critical because the class is jam-packed and highly interactive (which is also what I loved about Shreyas' PM Career class last year). I'm excited to return to work later this summer and apply what I've learned!
Just wrapped Shreyas Doshi’s “World-class Product Sense in Practice” course, and it was one of the most amazing product experiences I’ve had in a long while.
It’s a significant time commitment but absolutely worth it. Shreyas pushes you to unlearn years of product habits and dogma, check your judgements at the door, and approach with an open mind. Over 8 intense days, he shares meticulously crafted concepts, insights, and approaches - not generic templates and frameworks - that often go against the grain and make you rethink how you show up as a product leader.
Shreyas himself is a fantastic presenter - super high energy, keeps you engaged, infuses content with wit and humor. Topics dovetail logically and seamlessly from one to the next.
The best part: I was able to apply the learnings the next day and see real impact.
I’m leaving this course energized and with a reshaped view of product. Highly recommend it for product leaders who want to shake things up, challenge their defaults, or look at their domain through a new lens. 🚀
I didn’t think I could still do 3:00 AM. The idea of spending weekends in deep-dive sessions from late night to early morning felt impossible. But a pleasant surprise: after every class, I was so buzzing with ideas that I couldn't sleep. I never realized I could still maintain peak focus for 6 hours straight without a single break.
That is the impact of Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course.
It’s not about frameworks; it’s about the underlying logic of "Good Product Thinking." It’s rare to find a course that feels this transformative, but this one has fundamentally changed how I approach my work at its core.
It’s not a passive watch. It’s demanding, it’s rigorous, it's engaging and it will challenge every assumption you have. But for PMs looking to sharpen their judgment, it’s the best investment you can make.
What’s one thing you "unlearned" after taking the course? I’d love to hear it!
And thanks a ton to Shreyas Doshi, this is your 20+ years of experience distilled into two weekends.
Finally attended Shreyas Doshi 's Product Sense course.
I’ve been following Shreyas for years and first met him when he visited CRED.
I had planned to take this course for StampMyVisa last year and after going through it, I wish I had done it sooner.
One thing that stood out:
A great product thinking is rarely about frameworks. It’s about developing judgment and strong product sense.
Shreyas does a fantastic job breaking down flawed assumptions around product management and sharpening how you think about real product decisions.
Thanks for the learning, Shreyas.
Hope to catch up again, next time in Bay Area :)
One of the highlights I've had over the past few months is taking @shreyas' course on Product Sense.
Without exaggeration, it's completely changed the way that I think about building products (and even the way that I think about learning in general).
Easily the best course I have ever taken in my life.
If you're not the type who enjoys attending courses or workshops — this one's different.
@shreyas's Product Sense course doesn't teach frameworks. It sharpens how you *think* about product.
I was up till 3 am voluntarily attending a class. Never thought I'd say that.
I just wrapped up an AMAZING continuing ed class last week with Shreyas Doshi!
His "Product Sense" course is THE class I wish I had when I first started my career in Product Management over 10 years ago. Shreyas did an incredible job keeping us all engaged for the jam packed 8 day course. His optional homework is really where the rubber meets the road from just learning the material to really internalizing it to become best in class in the art that is Product Management.
Be sure to plan ahead because the course is only offered once a month and the waitlist for each cohort fills up fast! You won't regret it 😊
I just completed Shreyas Doshi's "World-class Product Sense in Practice" course on Maven, and I need to process what just happened.
Over the past 2 weeks, I spent 20 hours in live instruction (with a collective 18 minutes of breaks 😅), 12 hours in radically candid Q&A sessions, and 10+ hours in exclusive bonus content. Through every minute of this time, I found myself physically on the edge of my seat, leaning into my screen, laser-focused on each product sense secret Shreyas masterfully revealed with remarkable clarity.
After many years leading product teams, I've taken my share of professional development courses. This one was different. It didn't really feel like a course at all. It felt more like three things at once:
1. A product sense awakening. Before starting the journey toward product sense enlightenment, I first had to confront an uncomfortable truth: much of what I'd proudly built as my foundational product sense over two decades was incomplete, fractured, and in some cases, straight-up garbage thinking. Only after shedding that "old-way" skin could my real learning begin.
2. A product sense dojo. Where we diligently unlearned and retrained in the true ways of world-class product thinking through deliberate practice and instruction from Shreyas. His approach to "prompting our LLMs" (our internal mental models) to uncover latent truths has fundamentally changed how I approach product decisions.
3. A motivational reset. The course reignited something I didn't realize had dimmed: the commitment to pursue world-class product sense as a lifelong journey of practice, not a skill to be acquired or a destination to be reached.
I've never experienced an instructor with Shreyas's combination of focus, stamina, generosity, and commitment to student success. His masterful preparation and execution of every minute demonstrated something profound: the course itself is his product sense masterpiece.
I couldn't be more thankful for Shreyas and his team for what I'm confident will be a career-changing experience.
If you're a senior product leader who thinks you've "figured it out," this course will productively destroy that assumption. Highly recommended. Next cohort starts in March.
Link to the course in comments.
I’ve been looking for a course for seasoned Product Managers for quite a while.
There are plenty of workshops and programs out there—but many didn’t feel right.
Another take on roadmaps?
Yet another way to “work with stakeholders”?
A bundle of templates that never really get you where you want to go?
No, thank you.
For a while, I had my eye on Shreyas Doshi’s Product Sense course. But I hesitated—for exactly those reasons.
Then I read a post by Alena Harapeka sharing her experience.
The moment I finished reading it, I went to lnkd.in/ek63jQqD and signed up for the next cohort.
This Saturday, cohort 11 wrapped up.
I almost cried when it ended—even though, truth be told, there were moments when I wished it would end. So much new insight landed in my brain, it’ll take time to digest and absorb.
The way Shreyas asked questions was something else.
It sparked the kind of thinking that doesn’t happen in the everyday rush of PM life—challenging and energizing at the same time.
Here are three takeaways that fundamentally shifted my thinking:
✨ Skills I thought were innate can actually be trained
I used to envy people who had skills I didn't have. I thought you had to be born that way. Turns out—everything is a skill you can learn. Game-changing.
🔁 Thinking beats frameworks
This wasn’t about new templates. It changed how I think.
No cargo cults—just clear, original thinking.
🎯 Take ownership of your success
Stop fighting unnecessary battles with systems and teams.
Focus on what you can control—and drive your own wins as a product professional.
Big shout-out to Shreyas and his team.
The logistics were flawless. The AMA sessions? Invaluable. And the energy—truly infectious.
Shreyas models the kind of leadership and mentorship that leaves a lasting impact. I still feel that bittersweet post-course emptiness—the good kind.
If you’re feeling stuck in the PM loop and want to rethink how you approach product-building—this course delivers.
For years I've had the intuition that my strategic thinking has been really missing something. The final 20% or more being the most valuable but the hardest to attain. So many strategies I've created (or seen from others) have been far too generic. Many of them amounted to elaborate ways to say "just go win." Others were admittedly just for vanity or were so middling they couldn't meaningfully inform our work.
The product sense course by Shreyas Doshi cuts through the noise of our egos and industry norms to pull back the curtain on what really matters in our work.
Definitely not for the faint of heart. Definitely not for someone who isn't going to lock in and set aside serious time for ten days. Strong recommend. Never been so excited to go sequester myself in the library and do strategic thinking.
MK
The last two weekends were time well spent.
I put 26+ hours into the Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course and it was some of the most enjoyable and insightful learning I’ve had in a while. The kind where time passes quickly and even at 11pm on a Sunday, you would happily keep going.
Product management has no shortage of books, frameworks and opinions, yet it can still feel ambiguous in practice. What Shreyas Doshi does particularly well is cut through that noise. There is no emphasis on templates or methods. The focus is entirely on developing better judgement and improving the clarity and quality of your thinking. I have seen others try to teach “thinking principles,” but they often end up abstract. Here, the ideas are concrete and practical. You leave each session with a clear sense of how to apply what you have learned, regardless of your company or context.
Over the years, studying and working across different disciplines, I have come to appreciate how rare genuinely good teachers are. You cannot get what they offer from books alone. They internalise the craft deeply enough to make complex things simple.
Shreyas Doshi is one of those people. His depth, passion, and candour come through clearly and he is a genuine authority on the subject.
I used my L&D budget for the course but would have happily paid out of pocket. Easily one of the highest ROI learning investments I have made.
Recommended for anyone serious about becoming a better product thinker or product leader.
I just finished Shreyas Doshi's Improving Product Sense on Maven after years of sensing but not quite naming gaps in my product and transformation work. I could spot decisions sliding off course (fuzzy strategy, lukewarm adoption, and feature bloat), yet I couldn't fully explain why.
Shreyas defines product sense as "the ability to usually make correct product decisions, both macro and micro, even in the face of major ambiguity." Over seven focused days, he shows how to sharpen that skill. The sessions combine live deconstructions of real products, probing questions that surface blind spots, and practices to sharpen your instincts.
What surprised me most was how transferable the lessons are. I work in technology transformation, where adoption challenges mirror product‑market‑fit struggles. The same judgment patterns apply in sales and product marketing too. More broadly, the course sharpens clear thinking, a skill that’s increasingly vital for anyone navigating today’s AI‑driven landscape.
The course requires commitment and demands genuine humility; you have to admit when your instincts are fuzzy. But if you feel your intuition is half‑formed and you want a concrete way to strengthen it, this is the most direct path I have found. I left with a shared vocabulary and practical tools to tackle the problems I’d sensed for years, and a practice routine to keep improving.
Happy to talk to anyone considering taking this course in the future.
I don’t usually post or promote courses on LinkedIn. But this one 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘆 changed how I think (I really mean it).
I just finished Shreyas Doshi’s World Class Product Sense course, and it was a profound experience.
I’ve been following Shreyas for years. Easily one of the most influential product leaders and advisors out there. His writing and thinking have shaped how many of us reason about product (myself included).
Product strategy, positioning, segmentation, differentiation, creativity, taste, among other topics (some are known for being "intangible") are often spoken about as if they were magic - either you have them, or you’ll pick them up someday after a decade in the job or read 'N" number of books on the subject and off you go.
This course showed that they can be taught, practiced, and sharpened - with rigor and empathy.
Too often, we look for recipes (aka frameworks we can mechanically apply), hoping they’ll be the answer to most of our problems.
This course does the opposite. It teaches you how to think for yourself, sharpen your reasoning, and adapt your thinking to the problem in front of you rather than forcing the problem into a pre-made box.
The sessions were super engaging, practical, and deeply thoughtful.
I walked away with stronger mental models, better questions to ask, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲.
PS - Slight regret, honestly: I still remember when Shreyas announced the first cohort. I should’ve taken it back then 😅
PS2 - If you’re a PM or an experienced professional working within the product ecosystem (roles like UX, Data, Engineering, Data Science, Research or Product Marketing), and you want to move beyond surface-level answers to truly reason from first principles, this is absolutely worth your time and investment.
Extremely grateful for the experience!
Thank YOU Shreyas, what a ride!

I just wrapped up the @shreyas World Class Product Sense course and it was an incredible experience. In this fast paced AI driven world where everyone has access to the same AI building tools, it's so important to differentiate through the quality and rigor of your thinking.
Terrific course. It will challenge you and require effort, but the reward is worth it.
I don’t normally write this kind of post, but it is Sunday night and I just finished Shreyas Doshi Product Sense course and it was incredible! I’ve done many courses over the years, but this was by far the best one.
Even with the late hours here in Europe, the sessions were so engaging that I didn't want to miss anything. Shreyas has a way of explaining complex concepts in such a simple way. He really uncomplicates things and shows with real examples how to get value straight away.
My mind is honestly blown after the course. It was also even more valuable doing it alongside Laurens Alblas and Christian Wood. To my product colleagues, I really recommend it if you want to level up your product thinking!
Every so often you get off life’s treadmill, pause and put your brain to work. It’s hard to do this, but rewarding when you do. I recently took the World Class Product Sense course with Shreyas Doshi and -- oh boy -- does this course do just that.
This is not your typical course. It is intense. Challenging. Fascinating. Creatively put together. And, most importantly, it demonstrates radical ways on how to improve your thinking. Radical in their simplicity and immediate practical application.
For those of you who, like me, feel a flicker of despair when you see an arty Miro board of yet another product framework or playbook, you can rejoice -- there is none of that. It’s all practical approaches nested in interesting real-world examples.
Over the few days, I felt my confidence build: it’s OK to slow down and think before making product decisions, micro or macro. Any lingering imposter syndrome slowly evaporated. And you can sense that you are surrounded by others who are feeling this momentum too, and it is energizing.
The answers to the decisions we have to make each day are right in front of us; this course teaches us how to think so that they reveal themselves.
If you’ve worked in product for some time, have moved to product from another role, are a founder, or you work in engineering and have a product aspect to your role, I cannot recommend this course enough.
Thank you to Shreyas, his team, and a cohort of top talent to share the experience with!
Just wrapped up Shreyas Doshi's “World Class Product Sense” cohort on Maven and mind blowing is still an understatement.
The title doesn’t do justice to the depth. This isn’t just a PM course. It dives deep into real product thinking, unpacking abstract ideas like taste, creativity, strategy, and user motivation through highly practical, real world examples.
The biggest surprise: I am not a PM, yet the value was immense. As someone building products, it sharpened how I think, decide, and make trade offs. I already feel more confident in my product choices.
One of the best investments of time and money I have made.
Highly recommend it to senior & advanced professionals who want to elevate product judgment not just learn frameworks.
Kudos to Shreyas Doshi for an exceptional course.
I spent the last two weekends attending Shreyas Doshi's world-class Product Sense in Practice course, and it was easily one of the most valuable learning experiences I’ve had in recent times.
What stayed with me most is that this course goes far beyond building better products.
It’s really about how to think more clearly, tackle hard problems, strengthen your judgment, and bring more creativity to the way you solve challenges.
That’s why I’d recommend it to senior leaders across functions. If your role involves making decisions, setting direction, or guiding teams through ambiguity, this course has a lot to offer.
Really glad I took it.
my mind is abuzz after wrapping up Shreyas Doshi's World-class Product Sense in Practice class. The unique insight, intellectual rigor and brutal honesty that you get exposed to are second to none. The time investment is significant but it's absolutely worth it. If you want to equip yourself with skills that will make you a better product person, you need to seriously consider Shreyas' class. 10/10.
Last week I attended Shreyas Doshi's Improving your Product Sense course.
The course has a single goal: help you make products successful. This requires a set of skills that are sometime lost in modern corporations where time is spent in juggling priorities, managing dependencies, satisfying internal stakeholders and playing success theater.
It’s refreshing to hear a no-BS approach to Product Management that reminds you what your job as a Product Manager really is.
Highly recommended.
PMs are often judged by what they ship - which makes it dangerously easy to confuse momentum of shipping with actually understanding customer problems.
Under that pressure, I've noticed a few shortcuts creeping into my own thinking:
– mistaking a good explanation for real understanding
– choosing "simple" when the right bar should be "successful"
– using strong communication to move past unresolved thinking
The practical impact of joining Shreyas Doshi - and an unusually ambitious cohort - in his Product Sense course genuinely surprised me.
"I was confident - and I was wrong. I don't have the right answer yet, but I can see the gap more clearly now.”
has become a useful mantra as I keep processing and applying the work.
Thanks for raising the bar for reasoning and showing what hard work actually looks like.
You'll find no shiny frameworks - just hundreds of real-world practical examples that force you to think.
I just completed Shreyas' course on Product Sense, and wow—this was next level. As someone who’s been obsessed with building great products my entire career, I didn’t think a single week could completely reshape how I approach strategy, product taste, and motivation. But it did.
This course doesn’t just teach concepts; it transforms how you think. I think differently about product now.
🔹 For PMs: The insights I gained have already paid off in ♾️ ROI—yes, really. I approach every product problem in an improved way today. If you want to rise to the top of your field? This is your blueprint.
🔹 For founders: The class was a masterclass in thinking bigger, deeper, and more strategically about every aspect of building products. It pushed me to reframe how I approach motivation—how to deeply understand it in how we think—and refined my ability to identify and cultivate exceptional product taste. The ROI from this course was easily already 1000x. Every founder should take this course. I wish I had taken it 20 years ago.
🔹 For anyone in tech: Whether you’re leading a team, scaling a startup, or refining your craft, this course will up-level your game.
The knowledge and frameworks I took away are already making a measurable impact—and I don’t say that lightly. Changing the way we see the world is always a gift. It’s not hyperbole to call this week-long class life-altering.
Thank you, Shreyas, for designing something so powerful and actionable.
If you’re on the fence or curious about what this course is really like, feel free to DM me—I’m happy to share more!
Mind. F*cking. Blown 🤯
Shreyas Doshi has been on my 'most read' list since I joined Twitter in 2009. Until a few years ago, I couldn't tell you exactly why, except that his no-bullshit, pragmatic view of life and product just appealed to me.
Today, I think I know: almost everything he puts out is built on one core idea — think for yourself. And underneath that, a belief that separates the best from the rest: it's the quality of their thinking that permeates everything they do.
That's exactly what World-class Product Sense in Practice is built on, too. A.I. is remarkable, but craft, taste, and intuition still matter, and I want to keep mine sharp. Over the past two weeks, this course reanimated something I didn't realise had gone quiet: my genuine passion for building. Mostly unlearning. Bad habits, lazy thinking, outsourced creativity. With that cleared, sharper models of strategy, creativity, and influence could actually land.
It's not for everyone. But if you're willing to sit with the discomfort of realising how much of your product thinking has been inherited rather than earned, you'll come out the other side a different thinker.
It's not cheap either. I funded this out of pocket. But it's the BEST money you'll spend on yourself this year!
Honoured to receive the certificate of completion from Shreyas Doshi’s World‑Class Product Sense course — and it genuinely lived up to the Hype.
Introduced to this course through my leadership, I made a deliberate commitment to complete it — even from Australia, navigating tough time zones and waking up in the middle of the nights. It was absolutely worth the effort.
What stood out wasn’t just the content, but the depth of thinking it demands. I had multiple aha moments as the course sharpened how I approach user motivation, trade‑offs, decision‑making under ambiguity, product judgment and marketing
Product sense isn’t a buzzword. It’s a muscle — and this course is a serious workout for it. It had frameworks not just to memorise, but as instincts to build and thinking to truly internalise.
I also strongly believe product sense isn’t limited to Product roles alone, it can be exercised daily by Engineering leaders through the decisions they make and the effort they consciously remove for teams and customers.
A big thank you as well to the wonderful cohort of March 2026 — the energy, enthusiasm, and active participation in breakout sessions made the learning process even richer. It was great to learn from each other’s experiences.
Huge thanks to Shreyas Doshi for designing something so thoughtful and practical.
Highly recommend it to anyone building real products and platforms.
I spent the last 2 weekends learning about World Class Product Sense in Practice from @shreyas on Maven. Wish I'd done it sooner. It was a complete mindset shift, but all entirely logical, and the best thing is that it's not theory, everything was about what works in practice.
I just completed Shreyas Doshi's World-class Product Sense in Practice course (find it on Maven.com). This course is a masterstroke in product sense education and professional development. I highly recommend this course for anyone working in or adjacent to Product or Product Management!
If you have questions, feel free to reach out! (The first rule of World-class Product Sense is you do not talk about World-class Product Sense).
I recently had the privilege of taking the Product Sense course led by Shreyas Doshi, which has fundamentally changed my approach to product strategy. As someone passionate about the craft of product management, I am often seeking new approaches, methods, and frameworks to improve and grow.
This class breaks the traditional model and instead focuses on how to think critically and train our brains for better performance. It's not about theoretical approaches or feel-good stories. It's honest, hard work to change our mental habits and become aware of the biases that lie beneath the surface. The course was intense, and challenging, as all worthwhile things are. If you are a product leader ready for the challenge, don't wait.
I recently completed the Product Sense course by Shreyas Doshi.
I’ve been following Shreyas for over a year, and I’ve consistently resonated with how he approaches product problems. What stands out is that he doesn’t rely on packaged frameworks or templates. Instead, the focus stays on fundamentals—how people think, how perspectives differ, and why understanding someone else’s point of view is often the starting point for good product decisions.
The course touches on ideas that are easy to label as “intangible” but are deeply practical—things like empathy, taste, and even creativity. A recurring theme is that these aren’t fixed traits; they can be developed by paying closer attention to the products and services we interact with every day, and by practicing those skills regularly
I hesitated before signing up. The time commitment is real, and carving out multiple full days alongside a demanding job and a young family wasn’t easy. But the experience met my expectations: thoughtful, challenging, and focused more on how you think about building products than on the tools you use, with high-quality discussions enhanced by a diverse and experienced cohort.
This isn’t a course for everyone. If you’re looking for quick recipes or plug-and-play frameworks—or if you’re still early in your career—this may not be the right fit. But for those who’ve been in the trenches and want to sharpen perspective and judgment, it can be a meaningful experience.
Some of the ideas landed at a deeper level and will need revisiting—rearranging, connecting, and consciously practicing them in day-to-day work. That’s the part I’m most looking forward to as I continue building products that solve real customer needs.
Something happened yesterday that I’m still processing.
Two hours into my Monday, I felt it.
Not motivation.
Not inspiration.
Not some fleeting feeling.
Clarity.
A clarity I have been chasing since my first software job in 2013.
After a decade of books, blogs, frameworks, and listening to hundreds of hours of podcasts on building great products and being a great product thinker, I finally understood what world-class product thinking was in practice. I could see it, vividly.
But my clarity came from 30 hours of work, not my 10 years of struggle.
Here’s what clicked:
- World-class products are made by people working toward world-class strategies.
- World-class strategies are written by people with world-class product sense.
- World-class product sense is rare. Very rare.
But...
- World-class product sense isn’t theory, magic, genetics, luck, or frameworks. It’s a skillset anyone can improve.
That was my Aha moment. Like seeing the world with new eyes. Hopeful.
I got it while taking Shreyas Doshi’s World-class Product Sense course on Maven. (Disclosure: I’m just a student who paid for it — no affiliation.)
If you want to level-up your product thinking, this is the best resource I’ve found in my 13 year journey.
Have you experienced anything similar? I would love to hear from you.
A year of hesitation. Gone after session one.
Just finished Shreyas Doshi's World Class Product Sense course on Maven. 40+ hours of intense, high-energy sessions. Countless moments where something clicked that I couldn't unclick.
This course doesn't hand you frameworks to memorise. It fundamentally changes how you see. The craft behind products that were always in front of you, the brilliance you walked past every day... suddenly starts revealing itself.
The course design itself is a masterclass in the principles it teaches. Every session builds on the last. Relentless decomposition and training of the skills that actually matter: customer motivations, strategy, taste, creative execution, and a clear path to mastery.
There is so much to revisit and internalise and a lifetime of practice ahead! If your work is anywhere near product, take this course.

During the past 9 days, I’ve spent 30+ hours immersed in Shreyas Doshi’s World-class Product Sense in Practice course. Such an intense and rewarding learning experience, led by an amazing instructor and attended by a fantastic community of product leaders.
What stood out most was hearing product lessons that don’t rely on a shopping list of frameworks, but instead build from first principles into a coherent way of thinking. I already feel that this approach is elevating how I reason about problems and make product decisions, and I look forward to developing even more my product sense muscle.
I highly recommend Shreyas’ course to any experienced product-minded person who wants to seriously level-up their skills.
I just spent the last week fully immersed in Shreyas Doshi's "World-Class Product Sense in Practice" course and I’m coming out of it with a level of clarity on product thinking that I haven’t found anywhere else!
If you’re a PM who wants to move beyond useless frameworks and buzzwords and develop real taste and judgment, this course delivers. It’s a true masterclass in uncovering customer motivation, applying creativity to build thoughtful solutions, and effectively influencing stakeholders.
P.S. Ask Shreyas for extreme candor during the Q&A — it’s absolutely worth it.

Welp, it appears I'll be giving away all my product books and never buying another one again after taking Shreyas Doshi's World-class Product Sense in Practice class last week. Think of the savings!
Ok, ok, I'm kidding...but only partly. I'm keeping my Marty Cagan, Chris Jones, Bobby Moesta, and Teresa Torres books. Everything else has to go.
Signing up for a course that's 30+ hours in one week, 8 days straight of live sessions, felt exciting but daunting with everything going on in life. But I can now confidently say I'm so thankful I did it. This was one of the best educational experiences I've had and better than I was expecting and I was pretty jazzed from the get go...
Shreyas took me and my cohort on a journey that fundamentally challenged how I think about product.
Going into this, I was excited and eager to learn, but I had no idea how much unlearning I needed to do, how much garbage I had consumed previously that shaped how I thought about certain things, and, transparently, how far away I am from really being great at product.
What I loved most was that it's not about mastering a framework that works here but not there. It's not motivational rhetoric that feels inspiring in the moment, but you can't figure out how to apply it two months later. It's about developing the underlying thinking that brings clarity and doing it in a way that actually works for you and ultimately helps you win.
If you're interested, I was told when the student is ready, the teacher appears... lnkd.in/guRxdEB7
Shout out to Shreyas Doshi and team for such an excellent experience, and to my cohort for a great time learning and growing together.

Absolutely blown away by Shreyas Doshi course on "World Class Product Sense in Practice." The concepts I learned in this course totally transformed how I will be approaching products going forward in my career. I was a bit hesitant that I wont be able to focus on long zoom sessions but the quality of content was so high that I was hooked. Plus Shreyas is absolutely hillarious. It was like a standup comedian teaching you about Product Sense. I highly recommend this course to any one who is trying to learn higher level concepts related to Product Sense. Link below

A Rejuvenating and Transformative Experience
Shreyas Doshi’s Product Sense course has completely transformed how I think about product management. The ideas and strategies shared throughout the class provided new insights that reshaped my understanding of the field. One of the standout moments for me was during the segmentation exercise, where Shreyas personally walked through my work and offered invaluable feedback that really deepened my learning.
This course is intense, but absolutely worth the time and effort—it’s probably the best class I’ve taken as an adult. Shreyas is not only brilliant, but he also brings humor and straightforwardness to his teaching that makes complex concepts engaging and relatable. He consistently blew our minds while making us laugh!
Another highlight was the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals in the course. It was a fantastic environment to both learn and collaborate with others who are equally passionate about product management.
If you’re looking for a practical, strategic, and transformative class, this is the one!

Shreyas Doshi
Price was my biggest apprehension before taking Shreyas Doshi's World-class Product Sense in Practice course. In the closing session, I shared this with the group, but noted how unfounded that concern was, given the INSANE ROI.
Shreyas is truly a one-of-a-kind product leader. It's great to see this pricing experiment where his team can share in the upside they create while keeping the course relatively accessible. It may sound expensive from the outside, but that entry price is trivial compared to what students gain.
I can't recommend this course enough. lnkd.in/em7MDxmv
Just finished @shreyas Product Sense course. It’s full of thought provoking and actionable items that I haven’t seen so clearly articulated. The class on creativity alone is worth the cost.
If you’re building products, can’t recommend it enough!
maven.com/shreyas-doshi/product-sense
I highly recommend this course to those who are highly motivated and want to excel in their craft; it's intense but Shreyas has substantially elevated my product sense this past week through in-depth discussion, careful framing, and thoughtful breakdowns. The best course I've taken. Thank you Shreyas Doshi!
Last week, I completed the course "World Class Product Sense In Practice" - taught by Shreyas Doshi 🔥
This course stretched my mind as an engineer in so many ways. Just to name a few:
1. When building highly successful products, it is the quality of your thinking which matters the most.
2. Decomposing an abstract concept is the best way to understand it. Break it apart until you see what it's made of.
3. Lessons on good product sense are everywhere: movies/TV, architecture, digital products, mobile apps, etc. There are also many lessons on bad product sense.
4. When thinking about any product situation, always ask: 1. What is the user really trying to do right now, and 2: What is the user feeling right now?
5. Practice beats reading books.
Highly recommend to any PM/engineer/product leader looking to increase their understanding of the world around them and what goes into building great products.
Product sense isn’t something you learn once and move on from. It’s a muscle you build over time.
I had the privilege of spending time building this muscle alongside Shreyas Doshi in his Product Sense Course last week. The course was the best experience I’ve had for deepening how I actually think about product sense. Shreyas helped me slow down my thinking and clarify my reasoning, especially around positioning and segmentation, two areas that sound simple in theory but are much harder to get right in practice. The way the course breaks these down immediately changed how I approach real product problems.
What stood out most, though, was how much time Shreyas took to make sure everyone walked away with what they needed. He answered questions thoughtfully, meeting people where they were, and pushing thinking without ever making it feel performative. You could tell this wasn’t about delivering content; It was about helping people genuinely grow. I’m really grateful for the experience and recommend it to those looking to build this muscle.
I have always appreciated Shreyas Doshi's perspective on product and recently attended his Maven class, World-Class Product Sense in Practice.
I’ve learned and even created my own share of product frameworks over the years. What stood out here was the emphasis on disciplined first-principle product thinking to interrogate and breakdown the thought process behind product decisions and being willing to challenge familiar ways of thinking, instead of just following another framework. At a time when AI can generate answers or prototypes almost instantly for everyone (important skills but increasingly table stakes), the real differentiator is going to be taste - knowing what’s average versus what's great, and when to push beyond obvious answers.
I found this class a worthwhile investment for leaders who care deeply about product craft and want to raise the bar for themselves or their teams in building great products.
Can’t recommend Shreyas Doshi’s course World Class Product Sense in Practice enough. It’s refreshing to take a class so deeply crafted and theoretically sound yet practical.
It’s safe to say I’ll be referring back to the course notes for a long time to come, I haven’t scratched the surface of a lot of the gold there. Learning from Shreyas is learning from a successful product leader who has thought deeply about his craft, and has a gift of teaching that wisdom.
It reminded me why I love product management in the first place, and empowered me with all the knowledge I need to build world class products. Now to build them!

Just finished a weeklong masterclass on improving your product sense with Shreyas Doshi. Highly recommended to any early stage founders looking to get an edge on building world class products. Check out the next cohorts here -
Since I decided to become a product manager more than a decade ago, it’s been my dream for years to improve my product sense, to truly understand why successful products are the way they are, and how to get to the real truths of customer motivation stripped of all processes and frameworks. Shreyas Doshis’ Product Sense course filled that need for me and I’m so glad it came along at a time in my career when I was ready to learn. I loved learning from my peers too, who are some of the brightest and nicest people I’ve met, a great mix of product, design and engineering leaders as well as several startup co founders and CEOs.
If you’re a senior IC or manager in the business of building product or looking to boost your thinking quality, do yourself a favor and sign up.
This weekend I just wrapped up the September cohort of Shreyas Doshi’s Product Sense course (lnkd.in/eCZer4zE).
There’s so much content out there already so I was a bit hesitant, however Shreyas brings it all together with a selective, opinionated and often entertaining take that draws on his many years as a PM and advisor. This all gets delivered in a non sugar coated, no-BS way. Lots of great principles for founders and product leaders that I’ll be looking to apply in and out of PM going forward. Happy to chat in DM if you're considering and want more detail
I recently took Shreyas Doshi's product sense course where we learned the secret to building winning products:
There are no secrets
Most of us are doing it wrong :D
But you can get much, much better at it than you realized
If you learn to think correctly
The course was dense, intense, and I learned more in 30 hours than in many years of doing product.
Fundamentally it taught me what it means to treat making correct product decisions as an actual skill.
But you have to jump in the pool and swim - there's no framework that can do it for you.
Perfect for product people, founders (there were several great ones in my cohort) and senior Engineers
The best way to get better at a skill to learn from the best.
If possible, find that person who is truly world-class (literally, not figuratively, one of the best in the world) and soak in their wisdom.
That's exactly what I did this past week by taking Shreyas Doshi's "Product Sense" course (link in the comments).
If you're a Product professional who wants to maximize the probability of building a successful product, this course is the fastest, highest leverage path to doing so.
It covers a lot of ground in a detailed, nuanced way that only a master like Shreyas can teach:
- Motivation Theory
- Metacognition
- Simulation
- Product Strategy
- Creative Execution
- Communication
The best part is the course is live and highly interactive, with examples and exercises to reinforce the key points and with AMAs after each session to ask follow-up questions and go even deeper on key topics.
And everything you learn can be applied right away. Every day in Slack, participants would share how they applied their learnings the very next day in their work.
If you're serious about becoming the best (in the world) at Product, start with this course, which you can find on Maven (link below).
I've just finished up the second cohort of Improving Your Product Sense with Shreyas Doshi and I can't recommend this course enough to any mid-senior level product managers out there. It isn't just another package of frameworks or platitudes about product - this week really transformed the way I think about the craft. I can't wait to start implementing some of these learnings!
Finished @shreyas Improving Your Product Sense course on Maven last week. Words cannot describe how fundamentally life changing that course is. There are a few times in life where you are exposed to some knowledge so ground-breaking to your original, naive view of the world that… x.com/i/web/status/1868693419603972465
I've always wanted to learn more about the magic behind product and get better at it because in my view the best eng leaders understand product well. @shreyas's course on Improving your Product Sense really delivered! I'll be learning and digesting nuggets for a long time.
And @shreyas' excellent Product Sense course (if you're a product leader or founder, it is worth every penny), which principally teaches you how to think and train your internal LLM.
This week I wrapped up Shreyas Doshi's live course - Improving Your Product Sense - and it was transformative. A world-class storyteller and instructor, Shreyas wakes you up to the gaping fallacies and cracks in your reasoning. Through meticulous unlearning and re-learning, he then teaches you product thinking that's clear and correct -- skills invaluable at work and in life. I highly, highly recommend his course for anyone looking to supercharge their critical thinking skills, develop leverage, and of course, improve product sense.
👉
This summer, I took Shreyas Doshi's "Improving Your Product Sense" course.
I cannot overstate how valuable I found it.
Before taking the course, I believed I had great product sense, though I struggled to articulate what that truly meant. While the course validated that my intuition was indeed strong and directionally correct, it also highlighted specific areas where I could sharpen my skills and deepen my expertise. The improvement in my product sense was noticeable even as the course progressed.
What sets this highly interactive course apart is how it demystifies the value that product managers bring to their organizations. It goes beyond typical discussions of product sense as some ineffable skill and offering superficial frameworks and tools; instead, through concrete examples and exercises, we learned how to elevate the quality of our thinking to be more strategic and how to align our activities with the generation of genuine value.
For instance, rather than just going through the motions of creating positioning, segmentation, and differentiation analyses using typical, often meaningless dimensions that don't even provide any tactical guidance, we learned how to approach these core PM activities with intentionality and rigor, producing artifacts with real strategic value and impact.
There is a great deal more I could say about the content of the course and the various aspects of product sense that were covered, but in the interests of brevity, I'll focus on one key takeaway: The course helped me to get explicitly clear on _why_ certain approaches have and haven't worked throughout my career and how I might have corrected their trajectories. And now, I'm equipped with the tools to make better product decisions moving forward.
It will take a lot of practice to fully automatize what I've learned, but I can already see how I'll be returning to this material for years to come.
If you are a product manager or in a product role, whether early in your career or quite seasoned, I believe you will also find the ROI on this course to be exceptionally high.
The biggest downside of taking @shreyas' product sense course is that I can never again work with anyone who doesn't understand these concepts.
This includes not just co-founders and product leaders, but probably also marketers and sales leaders.
This year, I'm focused on sharpening my core product skills so that I can help my team, my company, and myself win.
I kicked off January with Shreyas Doshi's Improving Your Product Sense course. I expected frameworks and processes, but I got something more interesting - powerful tools for improving my thinking and decision-making. The sessions were dynamic, engaging, and full of hands-on-practice (just be ready for three-minute breaks 😅 ).
If you work in product or alongside product teams and want to refresh how you approach product strategy, I'd highly recommend exploring this course.
"The quality of your thinking is what matters the most".
This powerful idea - shared by Shreyas Doshi in 'Improving Your Product Sense' has stuck with me ever since I completed the course two weeks ago. This isn’t the kind of course you simply complete; it’s one that you keep digesting to continue shaping how you think. From how I approach product strategy, to how I evaluate customer motivations, and demonstrate creative execution, this experience has helped me start making conscious efforts to improve my internal 'LLM' - not to make me an expert overnight, but to better equip me for the long-term journey of building meaningful products.
Huge thanks to Shreyas and his team for creating something that’s not only thoughtfully structured but deeply impactful. If you're in product (or a role that closely works with product) - whether you're early in your journey or several years in—I highly recommend taking this course. It's a masterclass in sharpening your product judgment and decision-making muscles to increase your odds at product success. I’ll drop the link in the comments.
OK, so I just finished Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course and my mind is completely blown! 🤯
I'll be honest - the course was very intense and very hard. Shreyas makes you struggle! But the content was so engaging, there was 0 fluff, and I feel equipped to think and execute at a whole new level.
I don't think it's really accurate to call it a product sense course - more like how to think at a higher level in any area, but with a focus on product.
💯 Highly recommend:
Just completed Shreyas Doshi's week long "Improving Product Sense" course and I genuinely feel part of my brain has been rewired.
- As product and eng leaders, we often find ourselves blindly following the usual advice: "build an MVP!", "launch quickly and iterate!", "fail fast!", only to see our initiatives fail (fast, if we are lucky).
- We exclaim – "but it was a valuable learning experience!" and comfort ourselves with "it's only obvious in hindsight!"
- We barely understand our users and how our product fits into their lives, but that's ok, because "we're data-driven!" and "we A/B test everything!"
- We "move fast" to save weeks, only to waste months or even years.
In a moment of peace, we quietly wonder: Is there a better way? Is it possible to... just succeed more often?
In this course, Shreyas makes a compelling case that when it comes to product development, it is indeed possible to be more right, more often. That there is such a thing as good product sense that can improved, and it can reliably guide us towards better strategy and execution.
But this course is not about handing out more frameworks, playbooks, and tools. It's about sharpening the tool you already have – your mind. It's about clarity of thought, examining your biases and assumptions, reasoning from first principles, training your mental models, and cultivating a deeper understanding of human psychology.
If you've ever had this nagging feeling that conventional wisdom is falling short and something's missing in how we conceive and build products – I think this course gives you the best shot at opening your mind and seeing the matrix!
I recently took @shreyas 's Improving Product Sense course (maven.com/shreyas-doshi/product-sense). This is very different from other courses - very focused on practical aspects in the daily work of product people. Contained a lot of examples and breakout sessions to work on the concepts.
Just completed Shreyas's course on product sense. As a 15yr+ PM this was a refreshing take on strategy, positioning, and creativity that finally gets past corporate BS and framework nonsense. Highly recommend for PMs interested in making an impact. maven.com/shreyas-doshi/product-sense
Before committing to take Shreyas Doshi's course on Product Sense, I had some concerns about the price and timing.
As for content, I have been following Shreyas for a long time on social media, so I was sure he had something important to offer in the course.
After finishing the course, I can assure you it's worth every dollar of it.
The next cohort is open if interested; you can check it here lnkd.in/deW5UWUS
Just finished Shreyas Doshi’s Product Sense course, and honestly, it completely blew my mind.
While "product sense" can sound vague, the course breaks down exactly what makes products win. It uplevels your quality of thinking - showing how great products emerge from thoughtful, deliberate choices, not just at major launches but across the hundreds of small decisions you make every day.
It's intense and super engaging (200+ of us stayed locked-in today for five hours straight on Zoom with just one tiny 3 min bio break 😅). As a former founder, I quickly recognized half the mistakes I made before. If I built again, this would be my shortcut to carving out a real market advantage.
Haven’t posted on LinkedIn in ages, but felt like I had to share this one! Highly recommend it if you’re involved in building or shaping products:
lnkd.in/gWz4v3ZV
After 10+ years in product management—building platforms, shipping features, and scaling systems—I’ve collected plenty of frameworks, tools, and best practices.
But recently, I found myself asking: What will truly equip me for the next 5 or 10 years?
Do I need more techniques I haven’t used yet? Or something deeper that reshapes how I think altogether?
I took a leap and joined Product Sense by Shreyas Doshi—and it turned out to be exactly the reset I didn’t know I needed.
This class didn’t just give me new insights—it rewired how I understand product work. It challenged my mental models from business school and my years of hands-on experience. It reminded me that great product sense comes from deeply empathizing with what users are really trying to do—even in their most nuanced or emotionally charged moments.
Highly recommend this course to any PM—new or seasoned—who wants to go beyond execution and build with true empathy and clarity.
(I didn't get discount code or anything to post this - and it's my first post on LinkedIn ever - just really want to share this to other "me" who wished to know this sooner)

Yesterday, I completed a 32-hour weeklong course on Advance Product Sense with Shreyas Doshi, and I’m still processing how much it changed the way I think. Not just as a product leader—but as a thinker, period.
I’d been meaning to take this course for a while, but two things held me back: time and cost. It’s a big commitment. But honestly, I knew it was worth it within the first hour of day one.
The biggest AHA for me was realizing how much noise I’d been exposed to, mental clutter I had in my thinking and how endlessly high the bar actually is for great product sense. It’s humbling and inspiring at the same time. And the wild part is: this isn’t just about product. It’s about clarity, rigor, and insight in everything you do.
What’s changed since? Althought there’s still a long way to go here, I would say it’s the quality of my thinking. Not in some abstract way, but in daily decisions, in how I frame problems, in how I listen. This course didn’t just add tools to my toolkit with a process or a framework (which is what most courses do)—it recalibrated how I think about thinking.
Shreyas’s ability to breakdown core principles, concepts for such an abstract skill as product sense is absolutely mindblowing — you’ll see the depth and thought he’s put into this course.
If you’re a mid to senior level product/ tech leader who cares deeply about the craft (or honestly, any kind of thinker), looking to raise your bar and, are on the fence —you owe it to yourself to take this course. This isn’t just professional development; it’s a mindset transformation. I can’t recommend this enough.
More details:
Shreyas Doshi's Improving Your Product Sense was genuinely transformative. If you follow him (and you should), you know he’s got an uncanny ability to decompose big, abstract concepts into a tangible, elemental form. You take away a deeper, richer, and more applicable understanding of something that seemed fuzzy and subjective.
In this course, he applies that same approach to the most challenging topics that any product technologist will encounter—whether you’re a product manager, an engineer, a designer, or an executive. It’s well worth the time and financial investment, as it will pay dividends for years or even decades. I can’t wait to see the elevated products that come out of our cohort!
Shreyas Doshi’s "Improving Your Product Sense" is a masterclass in clarity, it stripped away the noise in my head and replaced it with high quality thinking. Instead of handing out frameworks, he teaches how to think, making even complex ideas feel intuitive and unforgettable.
Just finished Shreyas Product Sense course and now the journey of getting rid of accumulated garbage and developing clear thinking begins.
It was the most intense course I have ever taken on product topics and I had many aha’s. Here are couple of things I learned:
- if you want to build successful products it’s absolutely critical that you understand the motivations of your target segment
- product strategy is not what I thought it was and internal products don’t necessarily always need one
- there are people that make great product decisions and that’s because their product sense skill is on another level
Looking at the world through several new lenses after a week of transformational realizations.
I was hesitant. Very hesitant.
I’d read the reviews, seen the recommendations, and even signed up for updates twice—first in May ’24, then again in August—before finally pulling the trigger in December. Spending out of my own pocket made me second-guess whether it would actually be worth it.
But I took the leap. Closed my eyes, trusted the feedback I’d seen, and signed up. And after a week of staying up until 3-4 AM on some days and waking up at 6:30 AM on others, I can confidently say: this was the best personal investment I’ve made in the last 4-5 years of my career.
Shreyas' approach didn’t just teach me new things—it helped me unlearn so much of what I thought I already knew.
More than anything, it gave me clarity.
Not just another set of frameworks, but the "right way to think" about product building and strategy. It felt like someone finally helped me throw out the garbage and see things as they really are.
As a founder, you spend a lot of time figuring things out on your own—reading, experimenting, piecing together insights from a hundred different sources—only to still wonder: Did I get it right this time?
This course was a sigh of relief—a clear, well-structured way to train my own ‘internal LLM’ to reason the right way.
I rarely ever recommend courses, but this one? Every product person should know about it.

I just finished @shreyas “Product Sense” course. What a masterclass - have never seen so much craft put into an educational experience. Might just be the best product (and founder) course ever created.
It’s the first course I've taken that unpacks user psychology, strategy,… x.com/i/web/status/1898679010927821305
I’ve seen so many posts about Shreyas Doshi's product sense course that it made me super skeptical, until someone I know took it and shared their experience. That’s when I decided to give it a shot.
And now I get it. The hype is real!
What made this course special is Shreyas' truth bombs about advice and ideas that don’t work. You almost never find that in other courses/podcasts. He cuts through the noise, challenging common assumptions like “bias to action” and surface-level strategies that often lead to poor results. After going through it, I feel awake—able to spot unhelpful advice and patterns.
Some key takeaways for me were:
- Product success requires deep customer empathy which doesn’t require an advanced degree; it’s about figuring out what the customer is really trying to do and how are they feeling.
- Creative execution takes time but can drastically improve outcomes.
- A great strategy MUST include positioning, segmentation, and differentiation.
If you're looking for plug-and-play frameworks, this course isn’t for you. But if you’re ready to challenge your thinking and develop real product sense, it’s a game-changer. Highly recommend it!
This past weekend, I completed Shreyas Doshi's course on Improving your Product Sense.
I can't start to describe how much I recommend this course for anyone that fulfills ALL of the following:
1. Wants to reframe their thinking around Product decision making in general
2. Wants to accelerate how they make decisions and the quality of their decisions
3. Does NOT want a simplified framework that leaves them hanging in real world situations
4. Is willing to challenge their own past behaviors
Not for the faint of heart. But extremely helpful.
