Shreyas Doshi's World-Class Product Sense course
I've been following Shreyas Doshi for a long time, and I've always found his posted content thought-provoking.
So when he launched his longer-form "Improve Your Product Sense" course, I decided to invest in myself by taking the course in August.
I'm glad I did.
This is a dense course of insights, driven by interactive learning in a very concentrated time frame. It'll dramatically upgrade your product "operating system" and I found myself already applying concepts to my work product. It's very effective.
Some specifics of what stood out:
- Shreyas designed and packaged his insights for skill improvement over surface-level insights and hacks. This is several layers deeper than what you'll get just from following his posts.
- The cohort-based format adds to the stickiness of the learning -- the format cannot be consumed passively. The course is an active upgrade of your product sense skills
- It's fun. The ability to spend a significant amount with other like-minded folks going deep on the skill of product (vs. a processes / "hacks") was immensely rewarding
If you're serious about your craft building products (eng, design... not just product managers!), then you owe it to yourself to consider:

I just completed eight intense days of learning with the unrivaled Shreyas Doshi and his Improving Your Product Sense course. If you are tired of wading through the sea of product management "think pieces" and are frustrated with the thought of "this will never work for me," this is indeed the class for you.
Shreyas puts aside the all too common advice of process and frameworks that worked for someone else and instead teaches the skills and ways of thinking to make you successful in your own environment. This class is truly the best example of "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."
Shreyas, his team and the rest of the cohort's participants have given me invaluable skills that will elevate my product sense game for the rest of my career. I cannot recommend this course enough.
Feeling like I've levelled up 100x in Product Sense after an 8-day intensive course with the world-class Shreyas Doshi and an impressive, global cohort.
Thank you Shreyas for packaging such high quality & refreshing content. It's by far the most valuable product training I've ever completed to-date.
I couldn't recommend this course more for anyone looking to refine their Product thinking - whether in a PM role or not. It's even worth the early starts for those in Aus 😄

Just wrapped up Shreyas Doshi’s week-long Product Sense course. I highly recommend taking it if you’re in the business of making software products successful. I learned how to think deeply and apply principles that actually drive product success. As an engineer myself, any engineer who works on user facing products would learn a ton from this course.
I highly recommend Shreyas Doshi's "Improving your Product Sense" class.
This course has been a game changer for me, opening my eyes to new ways of thinking and significantly enhancing my product sense and strategy.
Product Sense is all about making the right decisions, even through major ambiguity. Shreyas' course dives deep into principles of human motivation, behaviour, and creativity, giving the tools to consistently make those correct product calls.
Throughout this week-long intense and exciting course, Shreyas is there every step of the way, going above and beyond with his interactive live course material and AMA sessions.
You’ll learn to master Positioning, Customer Segmentation, Differentiation, and Product Strategy. You'll also uncover the habits and tactics that improve your Product Sense, helping you to get into your user's minds, know what to build (and what not to), and think more strategically.
I just completed this course and I've already noticed a significant shift in how I approach product challenges, leading to more strategic decisions and impactful outcomes and bringing more fun to the job.

I recently completed Shreyas Doshi's course on Product Sense, and it was truly transformative. Over 20 intense hours, I was challenged to think critically about real-world examples, from Saas to B2C Ecom, in new ways.
What stands out about this course is its emphasis on understanding core user motivations and product positioning nuances. Shreyas doesn't just provide frameworks; he cultivates your strategic thinking. This approach has significantly enhanced my ability to approach product strategy creatively and analytically.
The course has given me a confidence boost in developing impactful products, offering insights into user-centric design and strategic differentiation that I'm already applying in my work. The rich content warrants continuous review, but the immediate impact on my product thinking has been profound.
I highly recommend this masterclass to product leaders and tech founders seeking to enhance their skills and increase the chances of winning!

If you want to demystify product sense and put it in use to advance your product management career, I strongly recommend checking out the Improving Product Sense course that Shreyas Doshi put together.
This class is a must for any product professional that aspires to be the best In industry!
I've learned that becoming good at product sense alone will take you very far as a product manager.
The best dissection of what product sense is and how to improve it has been done by Shreyas Doshi. I've recently spent 30+ hours studying his material and felt a tangible impact immediately.
For those interested, Shreyas has opened up more slots for his Fall classes, which tend to fill up quickly. I highly recommended his course to my team and now extend the same recommendation to all of you 😊

I recently completed a 30+ hour intensive course on "Product Sense" led by Shreyas Doshi, alongside CPOs, founders, VPs, and senior PMs from around the world.
As a product manager dedicated to continuous improvement, this course was a humbling and transformative experience. Unlike most courses that focus on processes, Shreyas provided a fresh perspective, breaking down the often vague concept of "product sense" into tangible, actionable skills. His approach offers a clear path to becoming a top-tier PM.
I am deeply grateful for the timely guidance Shreyas provided. I highly recommend this course to anyone striving to excel in the PM craft.
If Aha moments were a metric then this Shreyas Doshi course lnkd.in/gjqtfp6u would definitely top the
#Aha moments and quality of such moments per min.
I have been and will always be a lifelong learner of the craft of product management and Shreyas Doshi's teachings continue to be the best out there. His extensive preparation, deeply thoughtful insights, strong provacations, the way he breaks down concepts and builds them as skills are all simply eye opening. This course is his best so far!
I recently finished almost 30 hours of intense learnings from the amazing Shreyas Doshi. I highly recommend to take his Product Sense course if you want to improve the ability of making more correct product decisions. It dives deep into essential topics like human motivation, behaviour, and creativity.
My three favourite areas were probably simulation, strategic thinking (including positioning, segmentation and differentiation) and creativity techniques. I have obviously worked with all of these previously, but this course brought them to a whole new level.
There are many resources to learn of many processes and frameworks related to decision making, product success and thinking in general. Some are good, some are bad. Usually 'it depends' on many things.
If you are curious about improving your own skill and judgement about the good, bad and what people mean by 'it depends' I highly recommend Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course.
It is an intense week of discussion, exercises and case studies that I feel has honed my own ability to discern and create quality products.
Happy to share that I've just completed this amazing course led by Shreyas Doshi! I came into this with high expectations, and it knocked them out of the park.
Over the course of a week, we had over 25 hours of sessions and interactive breakouts covering all aspects of Product Sense, from Positioning, Segmentation and Differentiation to the art of Creative Execution and development of a Product Sense mindset. I learnt so much, both from Shreyas himself and my super-talented cohort of senior and group PMs, VPs of Product and CPOs, and can't wait to put all of it into practice over the next weeks and months! I can't recommend this course enough to any experienced PM who wants to level up how they think about product and strategy!
Joining the inaugural cohort of the "Improving Your Product Sense" course was an experience akin to unlocking the hidden secrets of product management. Over the intense 18+ hours of instruction and immersive Q&A sessions, the profound insights and practical examples provided were nothing short of life-changing.
This course didn't just teach me frameworks and processes—it sharpened my ability to see through the noise and extract the true signals that drive successful products. The focus on
#motivationtheory,
#cognitiveemphathy, and
#creativeexecution transformed my approach to product management.
Participating in this course felt like being part of a secret society where the initiation rite was intense learning and relentless questioning. The camaraderie and shared knowledge among peers from companies like Reddit, Uber, and YouTube were both humbling and inspiring.
In a nutshell, this course was like drinking from a firehose of wisdom, and I emerged with a clearer, sharper
#productsense that will undoubtedly help me continue to grow as a product leader. If the course were a product, I'd say it was a minimum lovable product that was already hitting it out of the park.

What a ride! Being part of this first cohort of Shreyas Doshi course was a blast. We went deeper into truths and techniques than I had anticipated. The open sharing of both Shreyas and the other participants really levelled up the already great content.
I just completed Shreyas' Product Sense masterclass over an intense eight days, and it was far more than just gaining a few new tools—it challenged and expanded my thinking in unexpected ways.
Shreyas pushes you to deeply analyse real-world examples, ranging from ads and product copy to classic SAAS tools, before sharing his approach.
The focus on understanding users' core motivations/struggling moments and the nuances of product segmentation and differentiation has already transformed how I approach problems/strategy.
The sessions weren't about handing over frameworks like the hundreds of blog posts out there. Instead, Shreyas guides you to think clearly for yourself and view strategy as a creative exercise, not just an analytical one.
This course has increased my confidence in building impactful, high-quality products. I'll have to review all the content and practise it daily as I think I'll still get a lot more out of it.
The next 2 cohorts for Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course are already full, but he is opening up new ones soon, so be sure to check it out. The link is in the comments!
Just wrapped up taking this course tonight. Hands down the best course I've taken as a professional. I'll be writing a bit more about why during the week. A great course for people who want to think more clearly, make consistently better decisions, and are willing to continue practicing what they learn in the course throughout their career. Challenging in all the best ways. Highly recommend.

Last week, I took Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course.
So, what is Product Sense? Basically, it's the ability to make the correct product decisions.
There's a lot of nonsense about Product Management floating around the internet these days—failed concepts, BS, lame frameworks, and bad advice. Shreyas cuts through all of that. He teaches you to think differently, appreciate the complexity of product making, and provides immediate tools and a roadmap to keep building your skills.
The course dives deep into user motivation, product positioning and segmentation, and even offers tactics to boost your creativity.
You'll learn to think better and differently. It will surely have a tremendous impact in your career.
Check out his course on Maven. Link in the comments.
By the end of Day 2 of Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course, I knew I was gaining some highly potent product management education from an exceptional coach speaking from real-world experience. The content, immaculately designed by Shreyas and delivered in his signature straight talk style, is essentially the first principles of product sense. Avoiding "N-step solve-it-all" frameworks, the course invests in the cohort's intellect to internalise and assemble these principles for better product decisions. To top it off, the handpicked cohort of high calibre professionals generated the most insightful conversations throughout the course. With so much knowledge packed into roughly 30 hours of coaching and AMAs, I found myself invariably going back to the recordings repeatedly. And with each replay, I realised a new set of perspectives. The course may have ended. But the learning is going to be continuous.
Huge thanks to Jonah Wolfraim and team for an excellent glitch free course experience.
And my profound gratitude to Rachel and Abu for supporting and enabling this phenomenal learning experience.
If you're an experienced product leader looking to considerably improve your product decisions, there's no other course I could recommend more. Feel free to DM me if you'd like to know more.
I’ve just completed the Product Sense course by Shreyas Doshi, and it was nothing short of inspiring and transformative! The wealth of insights and practical examples shared throughout the course significantly accelerate the understanding of key product management principles.
Learning directly from Shreyas alongside a talented cohort of product leaders and founders, made the experience even more rewarding. Highly recommend to anyone looking to elevate their core product management skills -
I completed Shreyas Doshi's Improving Product Sense course with over 30 hours of intense interactive classroom sessions. In addition to a deep dive into how a world-class operator like Shreyas approaches this fuzzy topic, I also got an opportunity to connect with 100+ cohort members of like-minded senior product professionals & leaders.
Some key takeaways for me from the course:
Decomposition - The art of decomposition and how Shreyas broke down user motivation, friction, strategy, segmentation, differentiation, influence, creativity, etc. into its constituent elements. The course was filled with examples & exercises to understand how to apply this in real life. Not only this, Shreyas also adds rubrics/practices to assess what's good and why it is good.
Creativity - The course has reinforced how much creativity is essential to making good decisions. Some exercises/examples seem deceptively simple to do but are hard to apply as they force you to think from first principles instead of a cookie-cutter framework.
AMA Sessions - Almost every class had an AMA session at the end in addition to dedicated AMA sessions to clear your doubts & also ask Shreyas how he approached things. These AMA sessions were brutal sometimes coz of how much Shreyas tried to assess the question behind the question and forced clear thinking even on how to ask good questions.
Learning Resources - In addition to the live sessions, we also got access to private recordings of Shreyas’s coaching sessions, subscriber webinars & so much more reading material to deepen our understanding even further.
Training my LLM - The analogy of training my LLM and continuously prompting and improving my product sense by applying these principles will always stay with me.
I have yet to fully absorb everything I was taught and would need to revisit the recordings, but I strongly recommend taking this Product Sense course if you want to improve your ability to make more correct product decisions.

If you’re looking to elevate your Product Sense to the next level, I highly recommend joining this course (lnkd.in/g_nbKWsS). Thank you, Shreyas Doshi, for creating such a unique and transformative course!
I've always wondered how Shreyas Doshi and other exceptional product leaders seem to have an almost supernatural product sense. Well, I just finished his "Product Sense" class on Maven, and now I'm starting to know how. This course was truly eye-opening, covering crucial topics like:
Motivation
Cognitive Empathy
Simulation
Positioning and Segmentation
Differentiation
Creative Execution

If you want to elevate your product game, I can't recommend this course enough. If you're a seasoned PM, Shreyas's insights will transform how you think about products.

🚀 Recently, I completed an incredible course on Product Sense by Shreyas Doshi, and I couldn’t be more impressed!
What really stood out for me:
📣 Practicality: The course is packed with actionable tips that I can start using on Monday.
📣 Clarity: Shreyas masterfully breaks down complex concepts like positioning, segmentation, differentiation, and even creativity into simple, understandable components.
📣 Mathematical Approach: As a math enthusiast, I loved how almost every aspect of product sense was distilled into an equation or framework so you understand the relationship between different concepts
📣 Strategic Thinking: Most importantly, this wasn’t just about frameworks like the ones you find in countless blog posts and books. Shreyas encourages you to think critically and creatively, viewing strategy as more than just an analytical process.
This course is a must for anyone looking to uplevel their product strategy and sharpen their product sense. Highly recommend! 💡

I recently completed Shreyas Doshi Product Sense course, and I cannot overstate how transformative this experience has been for me as a product manager.
Sheryas's deep understanding of product sense, coupled with his ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and relatably, made this course an absolute game-changer. What truly sets this course apart is Sheryas's emphasis on cultivating product sense – the ability to think critically and teach us how to make informed decisions that drive product excellence. His real-world examples and case studies provided invaluable insights, enabling me to apply the learnings immediately in my day-to-day work.
Sheryas's passion for teaching and commitment to nurturing talent are truly inspiring.Thank you, Shreyas Doshi, for this incredible learning experience. I wholeheartedly recommend the Product Sense course to anyone seeking to elevate their product management skills and unlock their full potential as a product leader.

Still buzzing off the back of finishing Shreyas Doshi's Improving Your Product Sense course. If I could only recommend one course for any founder, product leader or senior PM, this would be it.
I feel like Neo in The Matrix, able to see the hidden forces behind making good product decisions, both micro and macro.
The course was intense but undeniably transformative. And that's all due to the no BS nature of Shreyas himself.
Most successful people are unaware of the mechanics of their greatness, or at best attribute it to the wrong factors. Shreyas is one of the few individuals who is world class in his domain but also able to clearly deconstruct the why behind his success/ failure.
If Apple sells taste and Amazon sells convenience, then Shreyas sells clarity. And this course was jam packed full of clear, direct, and at times hard to swallow truths about making good product decisions and building good products.
I'm left refreshed, empowered, and with an arsenal of mental models and principles to navigate the messiness of the world.
Shreyas is opening up more cohorts for 2024. I highly recommend applying. See the comments for a link to the course page.

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the first ever Shreyas Doshi's course on Product Sense. Previously I have taken his "Managing your PM career course". As with the first one I took this absolutely delivered. The power Shreyas has to cut through the BS is unparalleled. Any PMs in my network who are looking to improve their product sense, even if they already think it's good, I urge you to give this course a hard look. Link here:
For those looking to improve their Product Sense 📣
I got the chance to take part in Shreyas Doshi’s first Product Sense cohort, distilling his 14+ years of experience leading products at Google, Twitter & Stripe.
Incredibly deep insights on customer motivation and the building blocks of product strategy.
The end goal is to train you just like how you’d train a Large Language Model, by improving your information diet and simulating customer questions.
What Shreyas shared was applicable to Product Managers at every company size. Highly recommend PMs to join his next cohort in July (including the course link in comments section).
My perspectives on product sense got enriched over the last week. And,
Shreyas Doshi truly enabled us to go deeper in our thinking and understand the “why” for every product decision we make.
I personally ❤️ how Shreyas made it a fun process to absorb all the concepts by using examples like ads, real world product use-cases, movie scenes, team activities, newsletters, tweets, websites and more.
Shreyas’ passion for all things product is infectious and the rich content he shared during the course grows on you - I think that’s the power of focusing on “content” 💪🏽
Why you should consider joining the next available cohort if you care about improving your product sense:
✨ 25+ hours of live coaching session with one of the bests
✨ If you are curious and want to widen your perspectives on product making, especially in a fast changing tech-landscape

Last week I completed Shreyas Doshi's "Improve Your Product Sense" course, and I'm thrilled to share my experience.
As a long-time follower of Shreyas's valuable content, I jumped at the chance to attend this course. The 30+ hours were intense, filled with rich content and engaging Q&A sessions. Our cohort ranged from ICs to CEOs, all united by a passion for product.
What stood out:
- The cohort-based online format fostered a unique collaborative learning environment.
- I had several "Aha!" moments, gaining insights I'm already applying in both work and personal life.
- Shreyas designed and optimized this course for deep, lasting impact over surface-level insights and instant gratification.

What is Product Sense? How do you develop it? I've taken Shreyas Doshi's course last week on this topic and I loved it! The course covers Discovery, Creativity, Strategy, Communication, and other areas core to Product Management. The course not only helped me uncover new ways to think, but it also put me on a learning path to improve on these skills. As always, Shreyas puts a very high bar on what he does and this course is no exception. I highly recommend it!
I just finished Shreyas Doshi’s ‘Improving Your Product Sense’ course, and what an insightful journey it was!
I usually divide learning experiences into two categories: those with immediate effects and those with lagging effects.
Immediate effects help you learn how to do something today that you couldn’t do yesterday. Lagging effects are different; they provide you with a mental model or philosophy for mastering a craft, rather than just new skills.
This course falls into the latter category, though it’s very practical too. Shreyas shared an incredible amount of wisdom and practical skills, making this course truly special.
I encourage everyone who works closely with product—whether you’re an engineer, a designer, or, of course, a product manager—to take this course.

I recently attended Shreyas Doshi's 'Product Sense Course' on Maven. It was a supercharged week with thought-provoking exercises.
Some of the highlights include:
- How do you define Product Sense and identify its characteristics?
- How does Product Sense help develop better Product Strategy (Positioning, Differentiation and Segmentation). Shreyas also shares a framework to create the first strategy draft.
- How to improve Product Creativity
Highly recommend this course if you are interested in improving your product sense. Please find the course link in the comments section
Ever since I came across Shreyas Doshi's Twitter account in early to mid 2021, he has consistently been the voice of PM gospel to me.
Shreyas' Product Sense course is a masterfully crafted experience that fundamentally alters one's understanding of the skill of product sense. He helps you peel back layers of complexity, revealing the underlying patterns and principles that drive successful products, small and big. It's not just education, it's an enlightenment.
If you can do just one course to upskill on PM craft, this should be it:
I recently completed the Product Sense course by Shreyas Doshi, and I can't recommend it enough. Drawing from his vast experience at Yahoo, Google, Twitter, and Stripe, Shreyas delivered a masterclass on product sense. Unlike other courses that emphasize processes like Design Thinking and Lean, this course zeroed in on the skill itself—Product Sense.
The course offered practical frameworks to improve cognitive empathy and creativity. The course also touched upon strategy and had great frameworks for positioning, segmentation, differentiation and vision. All these are different from the Shreyas' LNO framework but just as effective.
My biggest takeaway is that Product Sense isn't just about work; it's a unique lens for viewing the world. I'm grateful to have learned this early in my product management career and will apply these lessons both at work and beyond.
Beyond the coursework, I also had the chance to connect with a group of ambitious PMs, Engineers, Designers, and Founders.
I've put the link to the course in comments for those interest.
Today was the last day of attending Shreyas Doshi’s Improving Your Product Sense course and although I didn’t have to leave my living room to attend I feel like I just got home from the best camp ever and I already wanna go back. This has been the most intense and most rewarding course I’ve ever done and although I’ve learned so much in the past week (and a bit) what I feel the most is gratitude. Gratitude for the wealth of knowledge, insights, fun, exercises, examples, growth and overall mind blowing experience!
It’s a bit hard to contain my enthusiasm at the moment but I totally recommend this course, it’s just that good!
I just completed Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course, and the sheer amount of knowledge I've gained in just one week is staggering.
The course was truly transformational, offering deep insights into how one can train their product sense (and more) and apply it to real-life roles.
For anyone serious about sharpening their product sense, whether as a founder or someone involved in product, I cannot recommend this course highly enough.
Another major highlight was the exceptional cohort. The diversity of experiences and perspectives among participants added immense value, making the learning experience even richer.
Now for the exciting task of unpacking and processing everything I've learned and applying it over the coming months to the work I do every day. 🚀
I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification:
Motivation Theory - Product Sense from Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course! A lot of great talent in one virtual room learning from Shreyas. Course covers a lot of content and provides you resources to take immediate actions for your company or business.
So glad I chose Shreyas course!
Link to next course in comments.
If you are a product manager or product lead, you should make room in your schedule and L&D budget for this course.
I was part of the initial cohort this past week and absolutely loved it. Shreyas Doshi has mastered the art of product management, and has managed to distill years of wisdom into an intense, interactive, and engaging course. I found myself applying learnings from the very first lesson into my product work, and now feel empowered with the tools to continue on a path toward mastery of my own.
So if you've been looking for a way to level up in your PM career, find a way to fit this course in!
For anyone looking to improve their Product Sense, this is an absolute masterclass of a course! 🙌
There is a lot to unpack in this space, and Shreyas Doshi did a fabulous job breaking down abstract concepts - such as cognitive empathy, motivation, strategic thinking, friction etc - into individual elements that together make up 'Product Sense'. While every session had a lot of nuggets, the sessions on Motivation Theory and Differentiation were my favourite.
A huge thank you to Shreyas and the team for creating this course, and congratulations on bringing this out of "stealth mode" ✨
It’s been a few weeks since I took @shreyas’s Product Sense course.
Despite his caveats that it’s not a short-term solution, I’ve found myself revisiting the material more often than anything else I’ve learned about product strategy.
The Product Sense course with @shreyas was a true learning experience. It makes your brain sweat in a good way.
Kudos to Shreyas for compressive this crash course in under 8 days! Extra points for keeping it tight. It kept us all motivated and super engaged.

Taking the Product Sense course from @shreyas is a no-brainer. There are books on motivation and cognitive empathy, but encapsulating all that as it applies to Product Management is not something I've found elsewhere. If you're a Product/Design pro, don't hesitate to join it.
Finished my intensive product sense course from one an only @shreyas. The experience is like I had been operating with a blurred vision all these years and all of a sudden there is 6/6 clarity on how to go about day-to-day product decisions.

@shreyas course on Product Sense was eye opening and full of golden nuggets. This is not a course that hands you a step by step guide on how to solve all your problems but a very thoughtfully curated course on learning and mastering the tools to become better at product sense.
The material is evergreen which gives you deeper and deeper insights every time you revise. I strongly encourage everyone who wishes to take their product sense to next level to register to @shreyas’s course and also subscribe to this Tweets.
Insights from @shreyas’s Product Sense workshop were the most high-leverage thing I have put in my brain this year.

10/10 would recommend @shreyas' Product Sense course!
Felt like I got a mini MBA in practical product strategy & clearer thinking, that will be more useful than an actual MBA.

Grateful to have participated in @shreyas's product sense course this past week. For the past couple years, learning about traditionally product-y things has been more fascinating and insightful to me than learning about any design things. This was my favorite example so far.
