Completing my 3-month course of Spanish with Hector brought about more improvement than the previous 2 years of learning in other courses. Hector immediately noticed my weaknesses and obstacles and tailored the teaching exercises to address them. He uses advanced methods and tools to train your language skills, exposes you to a wide variety of language usage across various media, all taking into account your interests and preferences to keep the content and context relevant, and therefore the learning interesting, fun and useful. We covered a tremendous amount of material through (1) online in-class instruction and practice, and (2) homework assignments. The materials covered a broad range of genres, areas of interest, as well as the cultural settings, all of which I found very valuable, not only to build a broad vocabulary, but to get familiarised with various aspects of language usage and styles. Through targeted exercises and assignments Hector made sure to improve all my skills, from reading and listening comprehension to writing, pronunciation and speaking. I now feel so at home with Spanish, being able to communicate with my Spanish friends, as well as to read, watch and listen to almost any Spanish content. Hector is a very friendly, approachable, patient and accommodating person, professional and very relaxed at the same time. He possesses a high level of knowledge, talent, and language coaching skills, while applying a personalised approach to teaching. I feel so lucky to have worked with him!

I just finished a 3 month intensive class with Hector and I am so very happy with the results! Many people have noticed an improvement in my Spanish-especially with my pronunciation. Hector teaches Spanish like a personal trainer. You set your goals, and then Hector creates a regimen for you to follow. Really useful if you want discipline in your studies. Hector makes sure that you are practicing different skills every day so that you are learning all the aspects of a language holistically. And the work that you are doing is catered towards your interests, so it is more appealing. You can message him if you have a random question about how the subjunctive works in a specific context, and he will answer you. You also have two calls with him a week where you can have deeper discussions or practice specific skills face-to-face. In summation, I think this is a more effective form of Spanish class than traditional ones. Ideally, this combined with working/living with Spanish people so you can use the Spanish you're learning every day will give you the highest rate of Spanish learning.
