Easy keyboard shortcuts. I was skeptical at first because I'm not really a keyboard shortcut user, but they really do save time when you're reviewing your inbox. Intelligent filtering. In Gmail, it feels like I'm constantly building new folders and filters to try to remove all the noise. I do very little of that now. If an email makes it into the main inbox and I don't want it there, I can tell superhuman to move it to "other" going forward with 2 clicks, or can unsubscribe in 1 click. Easy user interface on desktop. It's sleek and not cluttered and that's what my brain needs when reading email. Great onboarding that teaches you how to be better at email and use the product so you get the most out of it. Their customer support has so far been really helpful too. I got a very useful response to an email question quickly.

Although I was most intrigued by the AI features when I signed up, it is actually the shortcuts and the ability to have emails disappear until I wanted to see them that I found the most useful. Previously I would miss a lot of important emails because they got buried in my inbox due to a high volume of incoming mail. Now, I can use a simple keyboard shortcut to make emails reappear at a time that is more convientient for me. I also like the snippets feature to quickly type repeated phrases. I have finally stopped categorizing my emails into folders! It is such a time saver.

It even capitlizes names and adds punctuation where necessary. Seems small but makes your email look so much better. AI needs training but is super helpful when you need a hand creating a well-rounded response to emails. I had read about Superhuman but resisted plunking down the subscription without being able to test it. But recently, my colleague Tony Filippone told me how this is essential to his workflow, so I gave it a go. All I can say is Awesome. Wow! (a reference to Hamilton). Day one, I understood it, kept my fingers on the keyboard and, most importantly, cleared my inbox. I am just a few days in, but I am totally convinced that how this is a game changer to get rid of emails that slow down my productivity rather than improve it.
