Wall of love for Team Sunshine

We've seen incredible progress in our son since starting ABA therapy here. The team has been amazing, especially Melanie, who showed exceptional care and dedication. Heather, her supervisor, was always supportive, and Ariel, the chief executive, went above and beyond to ensure continuity of care, even arranging a new therapist promptly when the original one had an accident. We're truly grateful for their responsiveness and professionalism.

Eli had such a fun day at the far with Julian and I. He truly amazed both of us with his patience and transitioning. He was very vocal and enjoyed engaging in all of the things the far had to offer. Love seeing all the growth and progress he has and continues to blossom and growth and blossom in. Grateful for this amazing team.

HEY TEAM- I have Great News!!! My Awesomely Supportive Supervisor, Kahlil Seymour empowered me to get my Compentcy renewal done with perfect timing! My RBT renewal is due every year March 29...so I asserted to let my supervisor know in January and he was able to easily dedicate 10-15 minutes per supervision to interview and role play with me. So the result was, I was able to get everything done in approximately 4 weeks and February 24, I submitted my application to the board and paid my $35....Now it does take up to 2 weeks for them to process my application and I'm well within my time frame to have everything completed before March 29....so for all the RBT's get with your Supervisor well in advance! My supervisor was so incredible to help me get this done STRESS FREE!!! My heart is full of appreciation for all the support to Kahlil Seymour, BCBA! Please acknowledge him!

Thank you all for the amazing work you do everyday! We appreciate you all and the tremendous impact you have made in your kiddos lives! So many amazing accomplishments! I really want to take moment to thank Airel, Heather, and Josh for how supportive you’ve been to me since bringing me on board with the company. It’s been a TOUGH 90 days for me personally, but the support I receive professionally-along with finding a rewarding career that I love, has gotten me through! You guys have made such a difference in how I view my potential in this field and for that I’m grateful. It’s a wonderful feeling to wake up everyday excited to do what you love, with people you care about, AND support whenever you need it. You guys always give us kuddos when it’s due. Good afternoon! Just a quick note to let you know how thankful we are to have MaryLynn working with our daughter. MaryLynn is the most committed and focused RBT I’ve met, which is something considering the 16+ who have worked with our daughter and her sister. Our daughter sees a pediatric team at Coordinated Care for Kids, an Advent Health pediatric group that only cares for children with multiple medical needs. MaryLynn had asked us about her Omega 3 intake (as it helps brain function and is not listed on Katelyn's formula). During our daughter's last check-up on August 5th, I asked about this and credited MaryLynn for the suggestion. Her pediatrician was impressed, seeing the question as evidence of MaryLynn’s concern for our daughter's general success. I completely agree with the pediatrician’s assessment and see their connection as being vital to our daughter's progression. I hope MaryLynn can continue working with our daughter for a very long while. I think she is a great person, a positive force in our daughter's life, and has already helped move her communication forward… which is not an easy task. I enjoy and prefer the way your practice works, and am also thankful to work with Kahlil. Sunshine is the first ABA practice to have us meet with a supervisor or provide parent learning and training sessions. Kahlil exceeds expectations in these areas and I also hope he remains with our daughter for a long time. Together, this has all created a fantastic mix to maintain consistent goals and for our daughter's overall success. Super grateful to have found them. This team helped my son SO MUCH. At first my child didn't know how to express himself, he couldn't tell me if he was sad, happy, frustrated, if something bad had happened at school, etc. I wasn't open to trying new foods, I just ate the same thing EVERY day. We started therapies and in a short time my child began to express himself openly, he began to talk non-stop about everything. I couldn't believe it. Then he started trying different foods. In his classroom he began to focus, to finish his work. I have no words left to thank each and every one of the therapists who worked with my son. My son is different (for the better) and it was partly thanks to you. At first I heard and read bad things about this type of therapy but the reality is that for me and my family it was a TOTAL BLESSING. I recommend them 100%.

JASMINE - for going the extra step to stay after session time to talk with her clients teacher on the first day of school! Jasmine showcased that she understands collaboration is key to our clients long-term success.

CAT - for showcasing her skills at behavior management with our client at home two days ago and seeking confirmation on her implementation of the clients behavior plan! Cat successfully managed a tantrum after task presentation. She was able to identify the function (escape) and successfully hold the demand in place while lowering the response effort until the task was completed! The clients grandparent specifically wanted to give Cat a shout-out for her fantastic handling of a difficult situation. Way to go!!!!

MELANIE - for communicating when faced with new client responses to work demands and communicating concerns in the clients environment. She showcased her skills in identifying limitations in our clients plan and areas that need further evaluation, advocating for her client!

I want to give a Shout Out to Kahlil! He is Amazing! Approachable, kind, friendly and responsive whenever I have a question! Between him and Airel, I am always feeling fully supprted. The BCBA's are the heartbeat for a position as an RBT that can make a positive difference. It's obvious we have a very synergistic team where we are interdependent and continually empower one another! Kahlil has been one of the Best BCBA's I have ever worked with in my experience as an RBT. Thank you with all my heart!
