Peipei's class was a refreshing way to engage in Mandarin without it feeling like I was stuck in a classroom. I could cover topics I was interested in and expand my vocabulary through conversation with Peipei guiding and correcting me through each session. Peipei truly focuses on bridging the gap between the classroom and real-life applications. Throughout our time, Peipei and I found learning methods that worked best for me and we quickly adapted to a new form of teaching that I did not know I needed! I highly recommend Peipei as a Mandarin instructor!

Peipei is a magnificent teacher who carefully prepared captivating weekly lessons on topics such as China’s coffee industry, the emergence of AI, along with the relevant vocabulary and sentence structures. Peipei’s teaching has helped me take my Chinese to a level where I feel confident discussing current events, technology, economic, and social issues, both in spoken and written Chinese. Also, she always comprehensively answered our questions both during and after class about all sorts of nuances in the Chinese language. I highly recommend her class to anyone who wants to learn Chinese in an effective and stimulating way.

I have been learning Chinese with Peipei老师 for months now, and I feel I am advancing quickly! The classes are tailored to my needs and are really fun. I like that Peipei teaches me current words that are used colloquially and useful sentences that sound more natural when interacting with people. I will keep studying with her :)

Pei Pei 老师 is probably one of the best chinese teachers around. Not only does she understand what students want to learn but she is also very dedicated in laying the groundwork and foundation for each student. Creating an individualized study plan that helps students learn. Highly recommended

Hello! I definitely recommend Real Talk Mandarin! I have taken group classes during the summer of 2023, and started one-on-one classes during the winter of 2023. Pei Pei 老师 provides vocab/knowledge of mandarin that is used in the real-world, but also helps provide foundational grammar points. Additionally, she is always willing to help with any questions you have. Ultimately learning a language requires individual effort outside of the classroom, but Real Talk Manadarin can only benefit you more with the materials/teaching approach.

Peipei is really a great teacher. I had a lot of fun during my lessons with her and I learned a lot about Chinese culture, too. Usually, I think private lessons are quite tiring, but with Peipei this was not the case, because the material that we used was very engaging. The lessons are also well structured and paced. For me, the level seemed also appropriate. Peipei did a really good job of explaining all words and phrases that I did not know, so I could also understand real-life Chinese material. Also, she let me many times explain how it is in my country or what my view is on the current topic, which means that I was able to directly use the new vocabulary during our conversation. I think, in total, the course was really worth the money. Thanks Peipei! :)

I really enjoyed learning Chinese with Real Talk Mandarin. The class is a safe space to practice Chinese with no fear of making mistakes because Peipei is there to help you and guide you in your learning process. What I particularly like the most is that we use materials from real life! And besides class, you can follow Peipei and Echo on social media to continue learning and connect with both wonderful teachers. I totally recommend enrolling in one of the courses of RTM because you will get the chance to use Chinese related to real life situations, meet amazing teachers, meet new classmates, and complete different tasks or homework to continue practicing. 谢谢老师！

Peipei laoshi is a wonderful teacher and paces her classes very well. Even in a class of mixed levels, I feel that all of us were able to learn something new each time we met! Students are given ample opportunity to speak and are encouraged to draw connections between the lessons and their own lives. This means that the words and phrases you learn in this course can easily be used in daily life!

RTM Real-ife Chinese Intermediate Course is truly a bootcamp. It’s exactly the push I needed to see real progress. What I found really helpful is that I could modify my homework submission. I found out within the first two weeks that my writing skills are much higher than my speaking, so I quickly changed from writing my answers out to recording audio files. I appreciate that there is a lot of back and forth when the teacher provides feedback as it’s easy to ask follow-up questions. I love that the learning material is always pulled from real media consumed by native Chinese speakers. It really motivates me to see that just with some instruction around and practice with new vocabulary, I can actually understand real Chinese media.
