The Copy Cure Love

Imagine having 6k subscribers on your email list (from Facebook ads) and never sending them ANY email except for the free gift they subscribed for. Yup, that’s me. After watching Copy Cure module about storytelling I finally decided to send a newsletter about visualization (I’m a high-performance coach). I changed the headline and inserted a story. Boom! Not only I’ve got 20% open rate on a basically unused list, I also received emails from people telling me that they can’t wait for the next message from me and that they’d love to buy a book from me. Amazing! Thanks, Laura and Marie, you’re amazing.

Laura, Marie, it's impossible not to LOVE you two, THANK YOU! The office hours were amazing today (though credit also goes to my fellow Copy Curers)! So much so, I couldn't wait to sit down and start writing the content for a free training that I'm using as a lead magnet for my book. I've been putting it off for weeks, but the book is launching on Sunday, so this inspiration couldn't have come at a better time. And I love what's coming out! The best part, though? I keep catching myself Copy Curing this message. It's as if I've been brainwashed in the best way possible! :)

I had my aha! moment today! I was listening the Ashley C. Ford Masterclass and, yes! I stopped and did what Ashley said. It was ENORMUS. I've struggling writing, don't get me wrong, I'm applying everything suggested, 5 magic words- 12 lines, etc. I also found something fascinating! LOL. Once I processed what I did (an Ashley suggestion), I began to write as if the thing that I want in the store was my own products. It was great! I think it was the missing link for me to explode my copy!

I used the tips I learned from Laura's Masterclass on how to write effective emails, when I finally wrote an email to my (very tiny list of 43 people) who I've ghosted for 2 months. I didn't give some big excuse why I was "gone from the party", just slipped right back in. I told a story. I used white space and cut the filler words. I used a segue and made a clear CTA, and used PS's. A few minutes after sending it, I received a text from a friend of mine, saying how "so much of it just hit her". She booked a discovery call with me 4 days later, and now she's signing up for a coaching package!

I am celebrating a book I created to help parents teach their child to talk. I wanted to use my knowledge as a speech-language pathologist to especially help parents who are worried about why their child is NOT talking yet. I have been stalled for a year. I joined The Copy Cure totally on a whim, thinking I might get some little helpful detail. Instead, I have been doubling down on my work and focused on creating for my avatar. It made all the difference for me. I can't wait to get it out to the real mom (my avatar) to use with her child.

I was stuck on building my website, keeping the ideas circling in my head. Starting from zero, I didn't really know where to start, how to put my vision into words, what to include and what to leave out. Going through The Copy Cure, what used to be stressful turned into joy. Also the design and tech stuff is no longer enigmatic. The pieces keep falling into place with clarity and fun. Not finished yet, but constant progress. I enjoy the process so much! :-D

I finally had a breakthrough about how I describe what I do! I'm Scottish but I'd been using an American term to explain it, which never felt quite right even though my main ICA is over there. And then Laura gave me a critical insight on the Live with Laura tonight. I'm no longer trying to just define myself by one description any more. Laura suggested that I 'marry' both ideas together and that ended all the frustration and blocks I had been going thru.

This week, I presented concepts for a client rebrand and she loved it, with minimal amends!! This is a dream client and my highest paid project to date this year. Hoping for many more of these!

After years of "being on the fence," I enrolled in the Copy Cure in the SAME spirit as I enrolled in the Fire Academy, where, failure WAS NOT an option. After losing myself and my firefighting career in an abusive marriage and tumultuous divorce, I've fully committed to going after my life long fly fishing and joy filled business dream. Ok. So. Obviously, I NEED the Copy Cure to help me GET TO THE POINT: I can FINALLY FEEL my true authentic self breaking free from the shackles that stifled my creativity, joy, and peace for my entire 48 years. And my story will help others.

WOW!! Only in Module 2! I thought I knew some things about writing. There is SUCH helpful information, I just want to jump and implement everywhere. I know that impossible all at once but plan on one thing at a time!

I am learning to release. I have always thought I was pretty good at it, but as I grow I see how it has been a factor in the past and I wasn't always fully aware of its affects on me. Learning to truly let go, to be unattached, is a feeling of bliss and freedom. Love losing that tightness that came when the attachments dug in.

After watching the Joanna Wiebe Masterclass, I've finally gotten over the fear of building out my website, and have built half of my homepage in just one day! I'd been stuck in a rut for two weeks, paralyzed with the fear of failing, but I'm finally getting out of it thanks to all of this incredible course content, and I feel much more confident and capable now.
