Finally a news source that is trustworthy, non-biased, not negative, and Christ centered. In these times of deception, this will be the only source I get my news from! Thank you

TPO keeps me grounded in the truth behind the reality of the world. Headlines these days can really weigh on you- and to some extent, they should. But we should never be carrying that weight without a perspective that is rooted in the gospel. I love that TPO doesn't shy away from sharing hard headlines, but leans in, giving you a lens to look at the news through that leaves you feeling informed, but not hopeless.

I like the humor that you use. This helps me keep perspective about "the news" in light of eternity. I also like the succintness. Thanks for what you do!

I have always struggled with getting anxious when watching or reading the news because it always seemed so extreme as if the world was ending every day. I try to stay up to date with current events as a social studies teacher but it was overwhelming to stay in the know. This news outlet has been a blessing to me and I tell everyone about it because it’s straight forward facts and has Bible versus as encouragement and edification along with each excerpt.

As a young adult stepping into a world with an overabundance of news due to this new age of technology and the internet, watching or reading the news was always daunting. I had always been advised to stay up-to-date with the news, but it always left me feeling worried sick about the future and current events. But with TPO, I realized staying up-to-date with the news doesn't have to be so daunting. The short and concise summaries of news articles provide me with the information I need without all the wasted time worrying about things that the Bible verses TPO includes remind me are in God's control. Thank you TPO for providing a way to consume news without feeling sick after!

News makes me super anxious, especially since Covid and as I've gotten older. Having the Pour Over gives me just enough to keep me informed without raising my anxiety like regular 24/7 news access. I'm so thankful for the Pour Over!

My work computer has a built in icon on that perpetually flashes headlines of breaking news. As we all know, bad news sells so I found myself reading and re-reading scary headlines for hours a day, filling my brain with a constant stream of terrible news, leading to anxiety, hopelessness, and the feeling that World War 3 was imminent every single day. Even worse, I found myself googling “world news” on breaks, during meal times, after coming home from work, and even before bed. My husband introduced me to the Pour Over and it has COMPLETELY changed the way I receive and feel about the news. I love how TPO doesn’t shy away from controversial or difficult stories or topics, but instead delivers them in a neutral, and most importantly, Christ-exalting, way. Instead of doom and gloom, I feel a sobering awareness of what’s going on in our country and the world while maintaining hope and trust in the One who is over it all. I totally enjoy reading the Pour Over. Since I am in Canada, my longing is that you would have a Canadian site as well. It is so very difficult to get real news rather than just opinions and conjecture. My prayer is that this will happen soon. We really need it.

TPO reminds me that God reigns over every day, every hardship, every conflict, everything good thing, simply everything. These snippets of news are a blink, and we are made for a wonderful eternal life with Him.

I appreciate the straight forward presentation of the news events. Lately that's all I want is just the news. and the spiritual and scriptural application. It's good to hear from a Christian perspective.

TPO has been very helpful for me. The writing is balanced, thoughtful, and fun at times. The spiritual perspective is essential. I also love only 3 times a week. I appreciate as a Catholic Christian how the quotes and perspectives are ecumenical ( reflect the breadth of the Body of Christ)_

I understand that knowing what's going on in the world is vital so that we know what to pray for. But so much of the news is so depressing and filthy and quite frankly not something I can feed myself on a daily basis. I love the pour over because I get the news but I also get the Christian perspective which generally surprises and delights me. I really appreciate the pour over.

I am a huge fan of The Pour Over, and my friends and family are very aware of that (and many of them are signed up for it now as well). Before finding The Pour Over, I was constantly overwhelmed by the news, which led me to avoid it altogether. The only way I found out about things was through Facebook and word of mouth. But after finding The Pour Over, the news was no longer this dreadful, overwhelming, incredibly time consuming thing. I could get it in small chunks, boiled down to the most important events. I could also get it in a way that was infused with hope, rather than the doom-and-gloom that often fills news sources. It is helpful to stay informed while clinging to Hope in Christ, and The Pour Over facilitates that for me every week! I appreciate the addition of the podcast so I can either listen or read the updates (or both). I’ve also subscribed to Jason’s weekly newsletters which I love (they are always so thought-provoking in such a short email, which is impressive!), Chartr (love the visual representation of the news), and Mike Woodruff’s Friday emails (the wisdom infused in his emails is quite remarkable and always gets me thinking). I’ve been a huge fan of The Pour Over for years (a loyal subscriber since June 2020!), and I have no intentions of stopping. The news feels especially grim this year, and I am even more thankful than ever for the ways The Pour Over brings me back to truths in Scripture so I don’t spiral into a deep dark whole of despair based on what is happening in the world. I am so grateful for all you do to bring news to people in light of the gospel! Praise God for each one of you!!

I used to dread the news. It would bring on anxiety and feelings of sadness of our nation and world crumbling. With the Pour Over I can get a small dose of national and international news along with the HOPE of Jesus. I appreciate the neutral news with the commentary and scripture beneath each message. I love The Pour Over - it's my only news source! I don't even watch any other news media anymore, simply don't trust them. I look for this in my email first thing every morning and the quotes and scripture help get me started on the right foot, also enjoy the clever added humor. So thankful for y'all!!

Firing on all cylinders! TPO and Decaf have made such a positive difference in my life. Since beginning my subscription (yes, totally a paying member--so worth it!), my anxiety has markedly decreased, peace and confidence in the future increased.
