My wife and I listen during breakfast each morning. We’ve completed the entire Bible once and have now completed the New Testament and up to 1 Chronicles on the second go round. Wouldn’t trade our Bible study time together for anything.

God bless you for the wonderful work. I have grown so much from the work of these teachers. Glory be to our most high God.

Great way to spend the first 15 minutes of each and every day. I highly encourage developing that practice. Do it and watch what our God does!

I have been using TTW for about a year and have learned so much about the Bible and the history "of the day" for whatever period I'm reading about. Love the clear background history that helps to understand exactly what the passage means. That clears up lots of misunderstood passages. Oftentimes something mentioned in the audio will send me off on a study about something and I just love that. I love to learn.

I spend most every morning with Through the Word and I am so thankful that God has touched hearts to do this ministry. Thank you for listening to Him, putting feet to your prayers and starting my day praising God!

I have been searching for a great chronological Bible study and boy did I find a great one!!! Through The Word is so fresh, informative, encouraging and pleasant to listen to❣️

My brother just recently introduced me to this app. And oh my gosh I love it!! The Holy Spirit is moving this pastor. He makes it understanding and enjoyable. Blessings to Through the Word!

Great app! Has the option to listen to just the WORD, or start off with a Pastor giving information of what is happening first.

I ran from God for a few years and when He drew me back (by His mercy and grace) I realized that I had a very shallow understanding of His word. I also realized over the years how much that has affected my walk with Him detrimentally. I found through the word and it has helped God to change my lack of time in the Bible to a daily feeding and understanding of His amazing message to us. I recommend it to anyone searching to know God more fully. It is an awesome, helpful tool! My only complaint is that some teachers, like Skip Heitzig have their messages cut off. I find that frustrating. But overall love the app. The teaching is right on!

This an excellent app. It teaches, encourages, guides and blesses the heart all about God’s word. I love all of the teachers and I haven't read a plan yet I didn't like. I use this app every day. Thank you through the word for being there every day filling me with God’s truth his precious word. I love Sandi Adams. Going through Isaiah has been absolutely amazing. He can make you laugh and pierce your heart at the same time. The new teacher, Melanie Hurlbut, is phenomenal! She speaks with power and truth and her voice conveys her heart and holds your interest. Awesome, i really enjoyed her.

Kris’s understanding of how to express pure clarity in scripture has reached depths in me that I have missed in my lifetime of Christianity, but it’s like sitting in your living room with him and just talking. One TTW is a nightly devotional for my husband and I, and I am on my 10th journey alone. I can’t wait for more. Come to North Texas, Kris. We need you! Thanks for all you and you family and team do. In 2022, I invited some family members to do a Bible study in the youversion Bible app. I chose through the world explained books of the bible. What started out as just a couple of people has grown to 34, that actively participate. We love you all and your teachings and insights have helped all of our faith grow. God is using your ministry in a mighty way! I would prefer to use your app but there is no way for us to communicate with each other about the chapter we just read. Maybe that’s something you guys would consider doing or releasing more of TTW books of the Bible to be on youversion app.

I love the journeys. I listen to them every night as I relax and settle in for my nights rest. I first listen to the teachings and guides which are so very helpful and bring a lot of understanding to Gods word. Then I listen to the scripture passage. I look forward to this relaxing time with God and you all every day. Thank you so much for being part of my life for the last couple of years.

My dad and I started Revelation a couple of years ago with TTW. The teaching was so incredibly amazing? We have been hooked ever since. Unintentionally, after Revelation, we went to Genesis and have worked our way up to Psalms now. I can’t pinpoint any particular teaching as being phenomenal. Why? Because it’s all phenomenal. I can’t pick a favorite. My dad and I meet every morning, virtually, he does his and do mine and then we have a shared “note” on our phones where we make our comments. It’s my favorite part of the day.

I love it all. It has helped me understand God's word. I started with eccelesiastes as I was searching for the purpose of life as i found everything under the sun was pointless..finally someone agreed with me i was so relieved and then I was hooked, and started the journey, started to attend local church and got baptised a few months ago....

God has shown me much through TTW teaching. I particularly appreciate the fact that the teachers teach the scriptures in the context and culture in which they were written.

I look forward to reading the word through the app every morning as I sip my coffee. it gets me through the day. I have also learnt valuable truths through the journeys and helps me understand better the books in the Bible I have not studied previously. We do our homeschool Bible class with TTW. Every year! Started 6 years ago. We have been through the whole New Testament more than once. Right now we're with Pastor Sandy in 1 Samuel. Always excellent! Always a blessing. We are die-hard TTW fans. We feel like we know most of you now. And we love you all!

I listen every day. Currently going through the New Testament in a year. The devotions following the readings are great and really explain the scriptures , content/context

Everyday I get some new piece of insight from listening to the TTW teachers. I’m amazed at how much is said in a few short words in some verses, and how some often neglected stories or verses are so powerful. I have developed a deeper love for The Word and God. Thank You to all the teachers on TTW.

Definitely a wonderful app! Started using 6 years ago, it is a daily routine for me. I have shared with many friends and family! It seems to get better and better with each up date, Thank You, Though the Word!

TTW has changed my life completely. It made the bible become alive. Now that i can understand what is written, I can see the story unfold. And since I have problems with keeping attention (ADHD) I have learnt that it is easier to absorb if I listen to it before I go to sleep, when my mind and body is ready for rest, and the lights are out and there is nothing else to listen to but the voice telling the story. Now that I need to listen before sleeping, I have no trouble keeping the bible habit. I sometimes listen to more than one and will press play å few times before going to sleep. For me this is the best time to focus on listening. And I like ending the day with my head and thoughts resting and thinking about through the word.

My cousin found this app and I absolutely love it. I love how Pastor Kris explains the scripture before a narrator reads it. The Bible is complex and having an understanding before I follow along the reading is vitally important to me. I love the many reading plans it offers as well.

I found this app more than 2 years ago when I wanted to understand my Bible more and still use it every day. I don't have a single complaint! The speakers are so entertaining and so very well versed and educated on theology. I love how they break the lessons down, and most importantly, IT'S FREE! So many things out there want your money to teach you about God when it should be free, just like Jesus gift to us. Love this app!

I so love these Bible teachings! It is amazing to break down all the text in the Bible that is a lot of times hard to understand if you don't know the context or history of the time! I love how it is backed up with other historians proving the truth of the Bible! It is also done in such an amazing way not talking down to the listener but bringing them up in the understanding of the text! It is amazing I can listen to this in the car, cooking dinner, mowing the grass! Amazing ❤️

I have only been through the introduction, but... WOW! I am blown away and so excited to share this tomorrow with my Sunday school class and friends! I love the different versions and different readers too. I think this is going to be the perfect App to keep me in the wired every day! Having been a Christian since 1988, I never thought reading Genesis again would teach me something new, but I was very wrong. Only on Chapter 12 but the insight that Pastor Langham and others have brought to Genesis through the Holy Spirit have caused me to look forward to it everyday. Thank you Through the Word!

TTW offered another way to study the bible one book at a time, verse by verse. I have studied using another app that also walked me throught the bible verse by verse and I was glad to find a second option. I wanted to really know what the bible says and the facts surrounding the written words such as when they were written, who they were written to and why, Often teachers provide their interpretations and opinions. I wanted to find a study that sticks to the facts and what was written with validated explanations. If there is no conclusive or validated explanation, I respect hearing it said that we just don't know the who, what or why. TTW helps me know God and know my need for a Savior deeper than I had before. I see time and time again how loving and just God is. I was convicted when a pastor said that many of us are biblically illiterate. We are satisfied with going to church once a week and hearing the preachings. I was convicted to become less biblically illiterate. I love studing every day. The bible is not a read it once and done kind of book. I learn something new everytime I study. Anyone who truly studies what the bible says will love God and know we are loved by God no matter what. We need Grace in our world and the Bible and love of Christ is the only place and person to find it.

I have been a follower of Jesus Christ since the age of 7, making it my personal walk in my early 20’s. I read my Bible, so studies, and pray, Jesus is my foundation. But I’ve found it difficult to go deeper and truly learn what certain passages mean, the depth and connectivity to other places in the Bible, and how it all works together. TTW has been a wonderful way to learn, grow, and spark interest and longing to know more! Honestly, commit to Journey 1 and see where it takes you!

Through the Word helps me to understand the Bible in context. The Through the Word app opens my eyes, ears and heart to Biblical truths, and inspires me to go deeper into God's word to get the revelation and understanding for myself. Through the Word app makes it easy for anyone to hear, read and share God's word.

I love my TTW app to start the day. I am drawn closer to God through this daily devotion. If you want to draw closer to God this is one of the best ways I have found.

I hadn’t used this app in a long time. In fact, I offloaded it awhile back for some reason. Just tapped on it & Re downloaded it today. WOW…the new, updated version is incredible. I went straight to Ezekiel 38 - where I was in my paper Bible. What a Blessing! Praise God & thank you.

Wow, for the first time I am understanding some of those hard to read books like Isaiah and Jeremiah, Revelation. God has opened my understanding thanks to this app and those who are revealing Scripture in an understandable way. I am excited to learn once again. Can't thank you enough.

I have always said Romans 10:17 was one of the most simple and profound treasures in God's Word. When I did a devotion on YouVersion from TTW, I am thankful for the shouldertap to dig deeper. I went to your website, downloaded the app, and have been going through one book and chapter at a time since. The sweetest music to my ears is hearing Romans 10:17 every chapter. The teaching of each pastor has grown my faith more than I could have thought possible. All are so gifted, but Pastor Sandy Adams has been a favorite. TTW is one of the many treasures I am most grateful for in my Christian walk.

As a new mom, my Bible reading times have changed a lot. Audio guides that dive deep into the Word are so helpful and encouraging. This allows my hands to still be free to catch my crazy daughter or do some house chores.

Chris, I have spent the last couple years probably more going through your studies. I am presently doing Daniel with 3 of my grand children and hounding my fourth grandchild to join us. I say that kind of funny because she has been with us through the last couple of Bible studies we’ve done from your site. I also am going through the Bible with two of my three daughters, who have been studying with me for years. My grandson who is a teenager. I am after in a loving way to do Daniel with me. It is so perfect for a teenager both girls or a boys especially in our culture today. You are making an impact on their hearts for God, and also engaging me with my daughters and my granddaughters and grandson. We don’t live in the same town so this is a wonderful way for me to connect with them especially because I really love God and I want them to love God too. They do an amazing job of breaking everything down in a way that is easy to understand and no matter your level of current understanding you can learn something from it. I have recommended this to several people and will continue to recommend to any and everyone I can.

Many years ago, I tried to read the Bible from front to back, without any historical context or human contact. Sure, I finished it, but it went completely over my head and didn't get much help from it. Now, with the help of TTW and Sunday school, I finally started to understand what God's grace meant, and how Jesus came to save all those who believe. TTW brings in many Bible teachers, who offer insightful commentary that gives listeners that much more clarity and context beyond the mere text itself. I thank God for TTW, and I pray that it will reach more and more people in the world!

For the first time in my life I started attending church regularly and reading the Bible. I was a little lost until I was told about this app. This app has really helped me understand what I'm reading. Because of being confident in my reading, I am sharing the word with others in my life. By sharing I am making huge connections in my life. I am so grateful to the person who introduced me to Through the Word.

I often struggle to discipline myself to “read” my bible regularly and thoughtfully. So a few days ago I searched for a bible study that might help & that I might “stick to” (as Ive tried many.) I want to testify that I’m currently 14 days ahead and have both shared (via link) and played the audio with, others. It has helped me so much and I can’t thank you enough. I enjoy the devotions, the explanations, the questions, the insights, the personal stories and the occasional humour (are you still here? Lol) Please pass on my sincere gratefulness to Pastor Chris. Lastly I myself have just started a podcast (April May Gems) and this has inspired me greatly to share Jesus with a platform of listeners that I might never know how the Lord touches their heart. I really enjoy this app! I came across them through "youversion" and now I use both of them. But my favorite is "Through the WORD" because they are consistently humble & make learning fun. I love how they guide you through the app & the Bible. Now they don't have many plan options like youversion but still really great! I have recommended this app on my social media and public outings. I really recommend their " manhood talks" to men and their Bible journey plans to everyone!! ❤

I found a devotion by TTW/Kris Langham on Daniel in YouVersion. Kris brings the old testament alive, and brings Jesus and what it means to our life today into each book. I am now in Ezra and thought I would struggle to get through it. What a wonderful surprise. I love how he is showing the rebuilding of the temple compares to how we come back, and Jesus rebuilds our temple in us. I also love how he pointed out that all the names listed was God's way of honoring the people who honored Him. Thank you, Khris for all the new beautiful insights and for being used by God in such a wonderful way! God is so awesome!

I found you through the Bible app. I selected Proverbs and had my son join me. The study was awesome. I have now started your Revelation study in the app as well as your app. I have invited my son to join me . I also shared your app with him.

I wanted to personally thank Pastor Kris. On found TTW on my Bible app. I did his Start devotion and it changed me. Fully! I finally found someone someone who was able to explain Gods Word to me. I’m 53 years old and I’ve searched my entire life for this peace!!! I knew who Jesus was theoretically but I didn’t KNOW! I didn’t understand. I went through the motions, I raised my kids with a fear of God but not with His love! I missed the mark completely. I am now working through your app and I started with Journey 1. I am so excited about Jesus I am telling everyone who’ll listen. I even visited a local church. I plan to visit another this Sunday and I’ll keep visiting until I find a home. I’m also working on my family. My kids are grown and married but I pray they too find Jesus. The REAL Jesus. Not the bits and pieces I shared with them as children. I pray for them, my husband and grandchildren. Please pray for us. I just wanted to say thank you for opening my heart and mind. Now I want to be baptized. Thank you so much Pastor Kris & Peyton for your excellent commentary on I Timothy 2, part 1-3 B-side. It is the best understanding I’ve ever heard on this topic! I’ve always heard that we need to take a verse in cultural context but the addition of content, context & cross-reference was just an added understanding in bible interpretation. The cultural aspect of Gnosticism in that day, shed a great deal of light. Thank you again!

Thanks to TTW I’ve adopted a fairly consistent Bible reading habit over the past two years. It’s water for my soul. Thank you for all the work and effort that goes into this. I can’t explain how this app has changed my devotions, my walk, and my sermons. Bible study for me was getting stale. This app has bought new life to my devotional time. It’s real! Real application without needing a doctorate degree to understand it. I’ve searched many different materials and it just seems the content out there either so watered down that I can’t make it through a full day’s devotion or too deep that you need a doctorate decree to understand. I get excited for the the next lesson everyday. I also use this app as a commentary to my sermon preps. The content here brings such down to earth and practical application that it is one of my go to’s in sermon prep. Thank you to Chris and all the teachers for the hard work you do.

I love how you take your time and explain the scripture. You always point us to Jesus and are always welcome to all of us no matter where we are on our journey. TTW is truly a blessing and we are grateful for your ministry.

I have been using TTW for over a year and it is an app that I can finally really stick to and get my daily Bible reading from. I love the messages from the different hosts (I’d name them but I don’t want to forget anyone). They are easy to listen to and they do their best to keep an open mind about potentially controversial church topics. I recommend this app to people all the time! I have been doing Proverbs Explained Plans through the Bible app with a group of fellow believers, some not so tech savvy. So having the B side on this app, they don’t get to experience the rest of the chapters, which I find sad. We love the plans from you Pastor Kris and hope to do more as we continue Thru the Word!!!

I’m so grateful for this app. I started listening on the YouVersion app until I realized this was its own app. It has helped me to push through and go deeper into the Word. I love that the teachings are neutral and informative and give a full picture of theologies or debates or controversies without taking sides, just giving information. It’s also fun to listen to! Great narration and energy.

Hey! I just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed the revelations guide. I have read a lot of Bible but have always conveniently skipped revelations ;) it has always freaked me out (thank you left behind). Anyway, the NT reading plan took me there and I can't tell you how helpful it has been hearing the comentary on all of it. It's presented wonderfully and i actually have found myself enjoying it! Which I would never have believed about myself. Thanks!!

I love the the example from Blue's Clues in Revelation 10. While I was listening my 24 year old special needs son was watching the original with Steve. Your pop culture references are so helpful in keeping the lesson fresh in my head.

I shamefully took too long to finally read through the Bible cover to cover 20 plus years after being saved, but God is good! I just read with a book by book overview, and on second time through I wanted something a little more in depth. I found TTW within the Bible App and started back in Genesis and I’m enjoying it so much. It talks about each chapter but things to look for in the Big Picture of the whole Bible. They explain connections to other parts of the Bible or typologies you never noticed before….. These are simple bite sized information for believers looking to grow in His Word. I’m excited to use TTW to make it through my second go around of reading the Bible cover to cover. Thank you to Chris and His obedience to launch this and to all of those who have helped make this all available for everyone who wants it.

April 17 my church building in OKC was set fire by a man that we had fed many many times. He was homeless and troubled. We had broken down many walls with him and we were seeing progress. Drugs got there best of him and he did this unthinkable act after he had been gone for severa months. It has been rough to say the least but through it all God has been here for us. Our church started your New Testament in a year series on Jan 2 and it has been a God send. Thank you for all you do and know that in the tough times I lean on your humor and the way each of you share the word of God. We have a big need do to the insurance not paying out replacement value on the church so we plan to plant seed into many ministries that are doing what God has called then to do. Your is one. This is one of the best apps I've used in my entire life. It explains the Word in so much detail and truly is life-altering for me. It makes me ENJOY going to the Bible every day rather than trudging through reading it and getting distracted (I struggle with visual reading)
