I found this platform in the Youversion app and to God Be The Glooooory, I am happy about it. This is hands down the best app I have encountered to help me understand the Bible. I recommend it to anyone who wants to Know God and Jesus and start getting their life on track.

My only question is how come I’m just discovering this TREASURE! I can’t believe I now look forward to reading the Bible without missing a day! This app is incredible, I found out about it though the Bible app I am using and I decided to download, o can say this App is the best thing since I gave my life to Christ. My church started a reading plan this year and we just finished 1 Corinthians yesterday. It was an amazing experience with Chase. Thank you. TTW is my “go to” resource outside of my Bible. All of your teachers have helped me grow in my love for our Lord and Savior.

Hello TTW crew, I just wanted to let you know... We’ve done it!!!!! Today (Oct 20, 2023) we officially completed 1,288 days straight going through each chapter of each book of the Bible. I've shared our "Bible With The Guys" story with you before, but here's a recap: A few weeks into Covid lockdowns, I knew I needed to find a new way to connect with the men of our church and do life together. So on April 10, 2020, I stumbled across “Through The Word” in my YouVersion plans and jumped into Ephesians with a small group of guys (most of whom are still a part and going strong). Many more have joined us along the way, and we have truly become a band of brothers. We’ve seen miraculous answers to prayer, brotherly support, laughter and encouragement. In fact, we love TTW so much that we all decided to go for round 2! (Thanks for updating with fresh content as well - that will make it even better.) Our group is about more than daily Bible reading (although that accountability ensured I didn’t miss a single day - I’ve never read my Bible this much in my life)… we have become a band of brothers who rally daily around God's Word (and TTW's fantastic commentaries) and are committed to playing the “long game” of following Jesus as we do life together. Thank you, to all of you, for giving us this rally point. You have been an anchor for us.

This app has revolutionized my Bible reading (listening) and most of all my relationship with Jesus The Word!! I have fallen in love with the Word all over again! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the eternal seed you have planted in mine and my families lives that you already know does not return void!! I have been able to understand parts of the Bible that for 40 years were just words I struggled to get through in my Bible reading. Priceless! Life-changing! It has helped me explain the Bible to others as well!!

Through the word has open my eyes to more of the word than I can explain. It’s teaching me more about what God has intended for me and for all of us and I get to know and understand it more now that I have through the word and I’ve gone through the Bible at least one time already because of it, I never did that before and I’m on my second time around each of the New Testament as well as the Old Testament. I had a highly recommend is for everyone.

Having walked and been carried by God for 35 years, I would mouth the words Jesus loves me. The explanation in TTW has spoken to my soul. It is now clear to me how much God loves me and all of His creations.

The prophetic books have always been beyond my comprehension. Reading through Daniel with TTW gave me a new understanding. Even though we don't know the future, God does. He is always with us and always has been.

I have loved going through the Bible chapter by chapter. As we go through these trying days of 2023 I decided I needed to learn more of what the prophets said in the Old Testament. It ended up that I started Isaiah in early September of 2023. In the middle of this book Israel was brutally attacked by Hamas on October 7, 2023. The words of Isaiah became so real and relevant at that exact moment. Everything God said about how He would birth her again, bring her back, defend her, comfort her…all those words were exactly what I needed to see and remember. It reminds me that God’s word is alive and active always and forever.

I recently had the opportunity to listen to the audio version of Philippians 1-4 from the Bible, and it was a profoundly inspiring experience. The teachings and wisdom contained in these chapters have provided me with valuable insights into faith, perseverance, and the importance of rejoicing in all circumstances. I highly recommend these verses to anyone seeking spiritual guidance and encouragement. It’s a source of strength and hope that has enriched my life.

I love the way Peyton delivers the message with expression. Other bible apps are so monotone. The way it is presented makes it easier to understand

The book of Matthew has shown me how to live my life. More like Jesus. It showed me how to love more like Jesus. How to push my own wants and needs to the side to help others. It showed me how to live more selflessly.

I just completed Isaiah with Sandy Adam’s. I shared it with the 10 others in our bible study. Everyone appreciated his explanations to the scriptures. We all learned so much from him. I plan to study Isaiah once a year now. God’s promises never fail.

I got connected to this app through the Holy Bible App. I read a studying on Ecclesiastes and LOVED the Pastor and his humor and his teachings. Once I downloaded THIS APP, I found my new landing spot! Kris Langham is a gifted teacher and I’m excited to meet the other personalities as we walk Through The Word, together!!! My husband, Keith, and I start each and every day doing TTW Bible studies together and have for several years now. Doing this together is a priority and has become a very special faith growing shared activity daily. Thanks to all the TTW employees and volunteers. I discovered THROUGH THE WORD (TWT) App on You version bible app, I started with the book of Revelation, curiousity got me to study the book of Revelations, I wanted to understand the End Times by myself through a guide and by the help of the Holy Spirit. The presenter at the end of each chapter would always say something about the app and website that was how I knew there was an actual app outside you version that I can go to get more. Every Year, my new year resolution is always to read the Bible in one year, I will join a reading plan that gives like 8 chapters to study in a day, by the end of week two I always end up giving up (personally reading 8 chapters per day is skimming or reading Bible and not studying it) I downloaded TTW, and I studied two chapters per day and to the glory to God and for the first time in history I studied the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. I’ve never been so enlightened! Since then I have had clarity on the word of God, for so long I had depended on what the pastor preached on Sunday but now I understand many popular chapters that has been taken out of context better, I’ve learnt the importance of content and context, also the importance of reading the whole chapter and not just picking a verse without knowing what preceded or what followed afterwards. Big shout out to Pastor Kris and to all the Pastors that I have been blessed to listen to on the App, the cast, crew and everyone else in the ministry. You also never guilt trip me to give, every time I have given it my widow’s mite, i have done so willingly . I introduced my sister, my friend and my boss to the App as well, we are all grateful for you. Thank you so much for reading.

I was 70 years old. I had been married for 31 years and was looking forward to spending my whole life with my wife. Then on, Jan. 20th 2017 she left for Bible Study and never came back. I was heartbroken, but soon after the breakup I found Through the Word and it has been my constant companion through the years. I am on my second trip through God’s Word. GOD IS A GREAT CONFORTER and so is “Through the Word”!! Pictures of my Son and Grandson. When we lose someone GOD always reminds us of the people that still loves us!

I have been in a really dark season for months and each day I take Sandy and the Psalms with me to get through the day. When everything else fails, the Word lives faithfully. I am grateful to have TTW.

I stumble across TTW in the Bible studies found in the YouVersion Bible App. Signed up for the book of Mark study. It was Fantastic. I listened, I read, and I wrote in my journal what I was learning. Then I downloaded the TTW App after I completed the Study. I have shared the App with friends. We now Study together a 1000 miles apart. She in Illinois and I in Texas. Texting and calling each other to discuss what we studied and how will we apply to our lives. We currently doing the New Testament in a Year plan. I would recommend this App to anyone, seasoned teacher or just someone wanting to study. It brings a fresh look at Gods word right to my finger tips. Thank You TTW Team. Lori

This IS one of the best things since sliced bread. Praise God for these teachers and this app it is revolutionizing Bible reading.

Thank you team TTW for doing such an awesome job sharing God’s word. I have poor hearing and even with my hearing aids, I sometimes have to rewind and listen over some parts. My only suggestion is that It would be awesome if there was a transcript of each teacher’s message to read along with each lesson. Keep up the wonderful work you are doing. I’ve been listening for about 10 years, and it’s hard to pick a favorite, i too love it all! The B sides are especially helpful. I remember being intimidated to read Isaiah and Revelation- the guides were so helpful in helping me navigate these books! Keep up the outstanding work!

In reading the OT books about Israel and the founding patriarchs of that nation; I can see just where I was and how the grace and mercy of the Lord God Almighty has brought me to His saving grace in love and amazing peace thru His Son, Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer. Through The Word app has helped me understand scripture better through the narrative way of breaking down the scripture into the time frame and area of where it was written and who it was written too. I’m truly enjoying it.

My wife and I listen during breakfast each morning. We’ve completed the entire Bible once and have now completed the New Testament and up to 1 Chronicles on the second go round. Wouldn’t trade our Bible study time together for anything.

Great way to spend the first 15 minutes of each and every day. I highly encourage developing that practice. Do it and watch what our God does!

I have been using TTW for about a year and have learned so much about the Bible and the history "of the day" for whatever period I'm reading about. Love the clear background history that helps to understand exactly what the passage means. That clears up lots of misunderstood passages. Oftentimes something mentioned in the audio will send me off on a study about something and I just love that. I love to learn.

I spend most every morning with Through the Word and I am so thankful that God has touched hearts to do this ministry. Thank you for listening to Him, putting feet to your prayers and starting my day praising God!

Great app! Has the option to listen to just the WORD, or start off with a Pastor giving information of what is happening first.

I ran from God for a few years and when He drew me back (by His mercy and grace) I realized that I had a very shallow understanding of His word. I also realized over the years how much that has affected my walk with Him detrimentally. I found through the word and it has helped God to change my lack of time in the Bible to a daily feeding and understanding of His amazing message to us. I recommend it to anyone searching to know God more fully. It is an awesome, helpful tool! My only complaint is that some teachers, like Skip Heitzig have their messages cut off. I find that frustrating. But overall love the app. The teaching is right on!

This an excellent app. It teaches, encourages, guides and blesses the heart all about God’s word. I love all of the teachers and I haven't read a plan yet I didn't like. I use this app every day. Thank you through the word for being there every day filling me with God’s truth his precious word. I love Sandi Adams. Going through Isaiah has been absolutely amazing. He can make you laugh and pierce your heart at the same time. The new teacher, Melanie Hurlbut, is phenomenal! She speaks with power and truth and her voice conveys her heart and holds your interest. Awesome, i really enjoyed her.

Kris’s understanding of how to express pure clarity in scripture has reached depths in me that I have missed in my lifetime of Christianity, but it’s like sitting in your living room with him and just talking. In 2022, I invited some family members to do a Bible study in the youversion Bible app. I chose through the world explained books of the bible. What started out as just a couple of people has grown to 34, that actively participate. We love you all and your teachings and insights have helped all of our faith grow. God is using your ministry in a mighty way! I would prefer to use your app but there is no way for us to communicate with each other about the chapter we just read. Maybe that’s something you guys would consider doing or releasing more of TTW books of the Bible to be on youversion app.

I love the journeys. I listen to them every night as I relax and settle in for my nights rest. I first listen to the teachings and guides which are so very helpful and bring a lot of understanding to Gods word. Then I listen to the scripture passage. I look forward to this relaxing time with God and you all every day. Thank you so much for being part of my life for the last couple of years.

My dad and I started Revelation a couple of years ago with TTW. The teaching was so incredibly amazing? We have been hooked ever since. Unintentionally, after Revelation, we went to Genesis and have worked our way up to Psalms now. I can’t pinpoint any particular teaching as being phenomenal. Why? Because it’s all phenomenal. I can’t pick a favorite. My dad and I meet every morning, virtually, he does his and do mine and then we have a shared “note” on our phones where we make our comments. It’s my favorite part of the day.

I love it all. It has helped me understand God's word. I started with eccelesiastes as I was searching for the purpose of life as i found everything under the sun was pointless..finally someone agreed with me i was so relieved and then I was hooked, and started the journey, started to attend local church and got baptised a few months ago....

God has shown me much through TTW teaching. I particularly appreciate the fact that the teachers teach the scriptures in the context and culture in which they were written.

I look forward to reading the word through the app every morning as I sip my coffee. it gets me through the day. I have also learnt valuable truths through the journeys and helps me understand better the books in the Bible I have not studied previously. We do our homeschool Bible class with TTW. Every year! Started 6 years ago. We have been through the whole New Testament more than once. Right now we're with Pastor Sandy in 1 Samuel. Always excellent! Always a blessing. We are die-hard TTW fans. We feel like we know most of you now. And we love you all!

I listen every day. Currently going through the New Testament in a year. The devotions following the readings are great and really explain the scriptures , content/context

Everyday I get some new piece of insight from listening to the TTW teachers. I’m amazed at how much is said in a few short words in some verses, and how some often neglected stories or verses are so powerful. I have developed a deeper love for The Word and God. Definitely a wonderful app! Started using 6 years ago, it is a daily routine for me. I have shared with many friends and family! It seems to get better and better with each up date, Thank You, Though the Word!

TTW has changed my life completely. It made the bible become alive. Now that i can understand what is written, I can see the story unfold. And since I have problems with keeping attention (ADHD) I have learnt that it is easier to absorb if I listen to it before I go to sleep, when my mind and body is ready for rest, and the lights are out and there is nothing else to listen to but the voice telling the story. Now that I need to listen before sleeping, I have no trouble keeping the bible habit. I sometimes listen to more than one and will press play å few times before going to sleep. For me this is the best time to focus on listening. And I like ending the day with my head and thoughts resting and thinking about through the word.

My cousin found this app and I absolutely love it. I love how Pastor Kris explains the scripture before a narrator reads it. The Bible is complex and having an understanding before I follow along the reading is vitally important to me. I love the many reading plans it offers as well.

I found this app more than 2 years ago when I wanted to understand my Bible more and still use it every day. I don't have a single complaint! The speakers are so entertaining and so very well versed and educated on theology. I love how they break the lessons down, and most importantly, IT'S FREE! So many things out there want your money to teach you about God when it should be free, just like Jesus gift to us. Love this app!

I so love these Bible teachings! It is amazing to break down all the text in the Bible that is a lot of times hard to understand if you don't know the context or history of the time! I love how it is backed up with other historians proving the truth of the Bible! It is also done in such an amazing way not talking down to the listener but bringing them up in the understanding of the text! It is amazing I can listen to this in the car, cooking dinner, mowing the grass! Amazing ❤️

I have only been through the introduction, but... WOW! I am blown away and so excited to share this tomorrow with my Sunday school class and friends! I love the different versions and different readers too. I think this is going to be the perfect App to keep me in the wired every day! Having been a Christian since 1988, I never thought reading Genesis again would teach me something new, but I was very wrong. Only on Chapter 12 but the insight that Pastor Langham and others have brought to Genesis through the Holy Spirit have caused me to look forward to it everyday. Thank you Through the Word!

TTW offered another way to study the bible one book at a time, verse by verse. I have studied using another app that also walked me throught the bible verse by verse and I was glad to find a second option. I wanted to really know what the bible says and the facts surrounding the written words such as when they were written, who they were written to and why, Often teachers provide their interpretations and opinions. I wanted to find a study that sticks to the facts and what was written with validated explanations. If there is no conclusive or validated explanation, I respect hearing it said that we just don't know the who, what or why. TTW helps me know God and know my need for a Savior deeper than I had before. I see time and time again how loving and just God is. I was convicted when a pastor said that many of us are biblically illiterate. We are satisfied with going to church once a week and hearing the preachings. I was convicted to become less biblically illiterate. I love studing every day. The bible is not a read it once and done kind of book. I learn something new everytime I study. Anyone who truly studies what the bible says will love God and know we are loved by God no matter what. We need Grace in our world and the Bible and love of Christ is the only place and person to find it.

I have been a follower of Jesus Christ since the age of 7, making it my personal walk in my early 20’s. I read my Bible, so studies, and pray, Jesus is my foundation. But I’ve found it difficult to go deeper and truly learn what certain passages mean, the depth and connectivity to other places in the Bible, and how it all works together. TTW has been a wonderful way to learn, grow, and spark interest and longing to know more! Honestly, commit to Journey 1 and see where it takes you!
