I thought pastor Chris did a great job walking me through the book of Ezra. Although I’ve read the book before, Chris shared a deeper understanding of the time and events that I was not aware of. I also learned from following Chris through Ezra, that he has different teaching styles because I’ve listened to Chris teach other scripture. I thoroughly enjoyed his teaching approach of the book of Ezra.

I give thanks every day for TTW. The lessons communicate plainly and always touch my heart. I have been changed by this ministry to the point learning to love everyone, even my former enemies.

I am 52 years old and have always believed God walks beside me. However I have never read the Bible only verses here and there in Sunday School as a child. I am blessed with 2 wonderful children and a loving husband. My daughter who is 34 has started on her journey of bible reading and told me about this app. I felt I wanted a closer relationship with God and so I said well I’m gonna try it. I have read my bible everyday since January with you by my side. I’m understanding everything I read thanks to you. You are truly a blessing and I thank you for this app. I will also like you to know I will start donating also. I don’t attend church just my little kitchen table every morning with you. I feel I need to give to something and it’s hard to trust a lot of things and people. But I experience this app everyday and fully trust you. Thank you for putting this together for people like me. I just want to thank you for the ministry and for all of the effort that you put into it. I have just finished going through all of the journeys. I started in January 2021 and finished at the end of April 2024. I feel like I know Kris’ voice by heart, and often times my teens would walk in and say who is that speaking with the southern accent referring to Sandy Adams! Peyton jones was awesome and Skip from New Mexico made me laugh out loud more than once. Most of all, I’ve grown closer to Jesus during a season when I really needed him and His Word. Thank you again from New Jersey and everywhere else you traveled with me the last 3 years!

I have been on several ‘journeys’ with y’all through the word. My wife brought this amazing ministry over a year ago, and it has been life changing. I’ve been a Christian for many years, and yet other than attending church, had rarely immersed myself into the word of God. Now, I start my day with Pastor Chris and Through The Word, and it has truly changed my life. Thank you Jesus!

It has lit my understanding of the scriptures on fire. I cannot say enough good things about it. Genuine, easy to understand and very well put together. I recommend this app to anyone needing support to read the scriptures.

I've listened to & read other verse-of-the-day audios but none has made me so eager to read scripture. The color, common sense and occasional humor of Through the Word has brought the bible to life for me. I can't wait to 'read God's Word every morning now and even do several days at a time some days just to hear 'the rest of the story'. Thank you!

it makes so much sense! i love it so much. it’s so fun to learn about everything. and i love how easy it is to use. one thing i would recommend is when the person explains they only explain using the NIV version. and i use NLT so there is different words, but i completely understand and its not a huge deal!! i’ve sent this to my friends and asked them to join too!! plus every guide is only about 15 minutes which is really nice, since i’m in school and need time for other things! 💗💗

I really look forward to Chri Langhams commentary and humor sometimes. It really uplifts and helps me get my day off to a great start. Thanks Chris! Keep up the great work

The study of the Old testament is opened my eyes up to a lot of things that I didn't know I've been a preacher son I've been a rebellious son of God I've come back to God's ways more strongly today than I ever have I want to continue in God's way pray for me and my family as we go through the valley of the shallow death oh fear no evil for now I know God is with me thank you for your message today continue to pray and I'll continue to pray for you have a blessed day

I just finished the book of Genesis! There is no doubt - God is in control and He holds the future from beginning to end! Thank you for your teaching of this amazing book.

TTW is Godsend. Since I discovered TTW, my Bible study has become quite enjoyable. What about reading a bible chapter on your own and listening to a commentary of the same from an experienced man/woman of God? It's very encouraging and insightful. Keep up the good work of feeding the children of God this delicious and nutritional spiritual food as that Day draws nearer and nearer. Your reward is guaranteed.

I have got a real blessing out of this App.I pray for everyone that doesn’t know Jesus that some how or some way they will get to know Jesus before is ‘t to late.

I read TTW every morning and it starts out my day God filled. All the people who put the plans together are wonderful. The ones that narrate the Studys are funny, including the little ones. This is a pic of my wife Leah and myself. Thanks be to the Lord for putting this ministry on your hearts to be heard.

The Bible explained using historical context and timeline has been a great inspiration to continue my bible journey daily and repeatedly. My memory is questionable so daily reminders are extremely valuable.

TTW is perfect for my 1.5 hr drive to work and then home again. However, I am almost done with all of the journeys. Kris and the crew really know how to teach. Sandy needs to not use his 'quiet' voice so much... hard to hear. My wife said she notices a difference in me. I guess the way I act and also treat her. God bless your whole ministry.

When I'm reading the word and something catches my eye as unusual or as needing background explanation, I go to the TTW app. It is a quick way to get pointed in the right direction, or to see what others are saying about the passage to see if I'm off base. When I was just starting out in reading the Word, TTW was a launch pad into having Biblical understanding and it made me thirst for more, to the point that I got into a Bible study at church that led me to Bible college on my way to becoming a teaching and preaching minister. I am a man that went from a depressed newly wheelchair bound person to a person praising the Lord for His calling to me through His Word when I was at my lowest. God is good, and works in many ways! TTW is a blessed ministry and I will always point people to it as a way to spark their study of the Word as well.

Through the word has really helped me strengthen my walk with Christ. The commentary and explanation by the leaders in each lesson then to read the word of god has really added to my quiet time. Bless you all who have helped with this ministry.

It has never been possible to describe the joy of the presence,beauty, majesty and grace of God in my life. TTW was and is still a special reminder for me and I recommend this app to anyone who wants to experience the untold greatness and mercy of Jesus christ in their lives.

A good and dear friend of mine suggested this app to me and I was hesitant cause I am a firm believer in the you app love that app had so much to offer and I just love Craig and the life church who created you version app. So I downloaded through the word and OMGosh this app with Kris Langham is super helpful I just can't stop reading it and going through the Bible with Kris Langham and friends, he explains each and every part of the Bible and he is so insightful and his way with words .

Love this app! I like the summarization of each chapter. This helps reinforce what I am learning from reading and helping to clarify parts that I may not fully understand.

How can I possibly express what through the word means to my wife Liz and I. We discovered it years before the pandemic but became our church family through it. It is our devotional evey morning and we have learned so much. Thank you our Lord Jesus Christ for leading this ministry. Thankyou to all that have listened to his call.

TTW has helped me to spend time in Gods Kingdom word on an almost daily basis. It makes it easy to hear God’s word and obtain insights I to the Bible. These devotions have helped me be mindful toward God as I go through each days challenges and blessings.

At 68 years old I have found a Bible app. TTW to be awesome! Its refreshing to know that bible teachers across the US have joined together to share God’s amazing teachings. God bless this group of individuals that dedicate their time to share God’s inspired word. Best of all it doesn’t cost for the app. Just listeners supported!

Kris’ down-to-earth approach to explaining prophesy and scripture gave me the desire to tackle Daniel and I’m so glad I did. I have a deeper understanding of the unique power of this book and I’m learning the historical context too. My twin sister and I (who lives 4 hours away) shared our responses to each chapter as we worked our way through Daniel. We are excited to explore more books of the Bible with this app.

Truly I appreciate the approach to teaching the Bible on this platform. It have given me a broader understanding in some scriptures I have already read before now.

I’m a 73 year old retired elementary school teacher. I’m a Christian, but I never really read/studied the Bible growing up. Parts I know very well, but there are parts I’ve never read. Over the years, I’d get motivated to read the whole Bible. Genesis always stopped me in my tracks. So, at 72, I decided to do it…again. However, I chose a different approach. A friend suggested TTW, and my oldest son told me to do the New Testament first. Last year, I did your New Testament in a year. I thoroughly enjoyed it and learned so much!! I’ve just recently completed my “stumbling block” Genesis, and am into Exodus now. I want you all to know that Genesis was amazing, not at all what I’d expected!! Thank you so much, TTW and Kris Langham!! With your guidance and teaching, I learned so much, it all made sense, and I looked forward to every chapter. My goal is to complete the entire Bible before God calls me home. Thank you all so much for helping me on this journey!!

I especially enjoy the explanations of each chapter before the actual reading of the chapter, as sometimes I have trouble comprehending some of the meanings. I have suffered with anxiety, fear, depression for most of my life where it has brought me to my knees in torment. Reading Psalms 139 spoke to me that before I was even born God knew me. He loved me. He has plans for my life and all I need to do is rest in Him because He so knows my heart, my fears, my worries, my anxieties. I will work so hard to not let the enemy rob me of peace for my God loves me and wants me to live a life of joy and not of fear and despair.

This study has made reading the Bible soooo enjoyable. The teachers are knowledgeable, exciting and funny at times. ( also corny) The incites they bring to the scriptures make me think!

It has encouraged me and gave me strength to face tough situations and circumstances in my life. The Promises Kept plan was instrumental in strengthening my faith. Thank you and God bless you.

Answer the prayer because I am not a reader. The only thing that I would like to say, other than this is such a great blessing to me, and as it is said afterwards, faith comes by hearing hearing through the word of God. Faith is the one thing that pleases God. With all that said, the only thing I would’ve liked is that the genealogy would not have been just fast-forward, because I’ve heard of very scholarly people, who have come to the Lord because the accuracy of the Bible stating generation to generation of the generation until Jesus came,some have come to know the Lord just through that

Thanks to TTW i am now consistent with reading and listening to the bible daily which was my biggest struggle now i find it easy and enjoyable i love the way they explain each chapter in a relatable way in today's world and it's for everyone my teenagers love the app too thank you so much for all the work you have put in may you receive your reward here and in heaven for helping many souls like me get closer to Jesus.

I have been a through the word follower for several years now, and have thoroughly enjoyed reading the word with Chris and others. God has given you a gift to share the word in a way that makes it relevant to our every day life! The girls in my family, in the past, had a monthly, in person, Bible study; however, life gets so busy, and we found it hard to get everyone together at the same time. I was so excited when TTW developed a way to invite others to study the same book together. My family and I just finished the book of Philippians and it was absolutely wonderful. We took one chapter a week everybody read it on their own; then we would comment what the Holy Spirit was speaking to us. In a face-to-face Bible study you’re listening and playing off each other but when you have a private study, you’re listening to the Holy Spirit. It was amazing how each one of us would have one verse that stuck out to us more than the others. Each member would begin to share what the Holy Spirit was showing and teaching them. We all enjoyed it so much that we already have decided to continue with a new book. Thank you so much TTW. This ministry has brought me so much closer to God through reading, and understanding His word!

I Learnt to Obey God Always… Moses one Act of disobedience made him not see the promised Land dèspite all he did for the children of Israel … again I learn its good to mentor just like moses mentored Joshua … we wont live here Forever . I also learnt to bé Strong and courageous coz where i go The lord has been there he will go ahead of Me . Amén

I absolutely love this book I’ve read it a few times but sandy is an excellent teacher and really opened my eyes to the meaning of it. Thank you I’m going to listen to it again

How great to see the fabric of prophecy laid down before us! I really enjoyed the timeline of Jesus’ life engaged with the life of Joseph. Very enlightening and powerful. How can you NOT see God in this!?

As my women’s Bible study has gone through the book of John this past 8 months, I have supplemented my study with TTW. What a beautiful, rich “deep dive” into John!! I have been blessed by TTW !!

There is a Black woman reading the scriptures. She is awesome and has charged my listening with a new excitement. Her rhythm, her cadence, inflections and delivery are unlike any I have heard.

I am so glad my friend discovered TTW and shared it with me. We have been doing it together just the two of us. I certainly feel God’s presence around us. I have grown up in the Church, lost my way for many years, and came back to Christ. Reading through the word with TTW has given me fresh revelation about God and His Word! It’s awesome.

This app has truly changed my life. I would rather lose access to my phone and not be able to contact anyone than to not be able to access this app. I love it that much. It is my anchor 🙏 God has his hands all over these preachers and they are phenomenal and easy to listen to and understand!!

I've been listening to this app for a while now, but this past year, God has really spoken to me through it. I've been listening more and more. I really love Pastors Sandy, Peyton, and Kris. The way they break down the Bible chapter by chapter has allowed me to learn so much and to soak in so much more of the Word than I ever would be able to reading on my own or even using study guides. I have had so many "come to Jesus" moments lately, and I feel that my faith has grown tremendously with TTW.

I thank God for the Shepherds/Pastors who came up with this wonderful App. The App makes Bible reading so enjoyable because there's a Pastor guiding you along with a short audio commentary. I searched for such an app to the point of frustration and just when I'd given up, I came across the ad on YouTube and the Holy Spirit just told me to click download and here we are. The Holy Spirit gives understanding of the Word but having a Pastor guide you is also truly amazing. Thanks for the App

I’ve been a Christian for many long years, but I’ve always struggled with reading the Bible and wondering if I was getting my interpretation correct. This has been so exciting to have help with interpretation and still reading the Bible verses. I’m in my 60s and feel like I am more in tune with God‘s word that I have ever been before. Thank you, Pastor Kris for taking the time and effort to put this all out for all of us who really really needed it. I have sent this to family members and new Christians over and over again. My 12 year-old grandson listens to four lessons a day, it’s been such a blessing in my life and those around me. I can’t say thank you enough!

I have only had this for about 3 days now and it has been so helpful! I will definitely be using this to study the Bible with my family and on my own!

I have downloaded every Bible app I have found. This one is my favorite by far it is very way to navigate. The teachings are amazingly put together and the teachers teach the Bible the way it meant to be. You can feel the honest humble attention of the teachers. This is the first app I have sent to my kids and friends. I love the ability too share and invite others to study with me. I recommend this for individual and group studies.

Chris thank you so much for TTW. It's been so excited for me to get up in the morning and do the next chapter. I'm driving a lot and walking on hikes so this help me to listen continually to the word. I'm a practical and a technical person...so to read is a challenge. I’ve read the Bible, cover to cover twice but didn’t really understand most of it. The first time I read it was the KJV and the second time was the NLT. The NLT was much better but was still missing that teacher to help me grasp the context of the stories and messages. I was talking to a friend about my journey with the Bible and he then recommended Through The Word and after starting it, it was exactly what I was looking for. It was prayed that was answered and came at a perfect time. I then got my parents, siblings and spouse to join along with me and we do it together now. Thank you Pastor Chris and the TTW team for what you do. Recommend highly for anyone who is new or experienced with the Bible!

It’s been a while I downloaded this TTW application. This platform helped me to understand my purpose in this life. I had finished my genesis plan and I’m fascinated how joseph forgave his brothers, it reminded me how Jesus forgave me and love me with abundance of grace. A year ago, I encouraged my family and friends to navigate their life through this platform with the help of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you so much! You are the vessel of God’s word. I have learned at 73 that you can teach an old dog new tricks ( or a new way to study the scriptures)!! I love all your audio guides and share them with everyone I know. In the midst of a busy life, it can be hard to make time for Bible reading. To be honest, it pains me to say that because the older I get, the more I realize how import it is to daily open up the Word of God in my life. Through the Word has helped me make this possible, and I’m so grateful for the commentaries! It helps me kickstart my day, with wisdom and insight into the text I’m reading. It also helps me stay on track and commit to reading the books of the Bible. Thank you Jesus for this precious resource ❤️

I started journey 1 in November. By the time I was finished journey 1 my husband, sister and her husband all joined. During journey 2 my 11 year old daughter asked if she could put TTW on her own phone! Imagine my joy when I heard her tell a group of friends from the neighborhood - memorizing Scripture is good . . . But if you listen to Through The Word on your phone then you can truly UNDERSTAND it You just have to download that app!

I would have never thought that I can dive into the Book of Numbers … thank you through the word.. I went through it smoothly … chapter by chapter the complexity and dryness of the book were simplified..

Love TTW so much! The teaching is seriously phenomenal- I’ve learned great new insight with each reading. Love the yearlong program along with the smaller, topical teachings as well. The only suggestion would be to be able to get to where you left off on the daily Bible reading instead of having to scroll and scroll to find where you last read. Otherwise- amazing!!

I never knew so much beauty in an Old Testament book of the Bible. Grateful for the connections they bring of the picture of Christ throughout the Old Testament. Whether you have read the Bible before or for the first time this app helps you understand the word at a deeper level!
