Wall of Love for TTW

I started reading The One Year Bible last April 12, 2024. I incorporated TTW’s Bible teachings after reading each days chapters. It is now March 23, 2025 and I must say TTW has helped me learn and understand so much more of what I’m reading, I love all the typology in the O. T. Many ahh ha moments. Jesus truly is The Word. When listening to your Bible teachings, I always end up sharing with friends who come to mind and posting on FB because I want to shout, “you’ve got to hear this, it explains so much”! Thank you for your ministry and dedication to God, your seeds are reaching & growing in fertile ground!! God speed.

This letter shows that due to the love of Christ, I may have my own problems yet pray fervently for others. Tells me of the love of Christ and his expectation for each body of my family. It makes me refocus on Christ as the perfect picture of Christianity.

I enjoyed this version and reading Jeremiah. I understood the books of Ezekiel and Daniel more. It was a wonderful review of history and of the land of Judah Thank you for providing this through your app!

I have been in a dry season in my life for about well many years. Studying Timothy God used Paul’s words to Timothy to fan into flame the ministry God had given him. It rekindled my own ministry within me, brought back to life hope and courage to live my last days here on earth as strong as I did in the beginning. I spent many years fighting the good fight and running the race & I have remained faithful to my Jesus. I feel the Lord wants to use me in these last years of my life here on earth with a rekindled desire for ministry.

I am happy to come across this app. So many Bible verses that were confusing to me have been addressed. Thank you, Pastor Kris.

The story of Jacob and Esau is one like my own. Although I am not a twin, my mother raised my younger brother and I very different. I was Esau in the story and I grew up bitter because I was treated different being a woman. After 23 years estranged and me being born again I forgave my brother and now we talk regularly. He acknowledged that my mother raised him differently. I will not tell him how different because it's passed as well as our mother has passed. We are all we have left and it is time to get to know each other as adults since we cannot regain childhoods.

Thru The Word offers me God's guidance, insight and wisdom, one chapter at a time. Hearing, reading and meditating on a whole chapter shows me the patterns of thought as options for my own prayers

TTW is very helpful. I like the scripture reading and the references given. The commentator has a calming voice to listen to. The revelation series was a great study.

Book of Jonah has many lessons for me as a believer. In all the lessons it's clear "The Word of the Lord is clear and constant" Our God is slow to anger abounding in Love.

Love being able to go through the Bible with this app. It is very understandable and I still get to listen to the word after. Thank you through the word.

Through The Word has being of tremendous help in my Bible journey since I downloaded the app in the last quarter of 2024. For the first time in my Bible journey, I enjoyed going through the book of Leviticus with expectations. Thanks to Kris Langham and Peyton Jones. Your teaching style makes TTW an app I cannot do without in a day. A special thanks to Peyton Jones on the good guidance provided for the book of Acts. It was a revival experience for me during my journey through the book of Acts of the Apostles. I have installed TTW app on my husband's handset and constantly urged him to use the app for his Bible journey. This is the first time I've done one of your journeys with a couple friends, and it was so cool to study to read and learn and hear each other's perspectives as a parishioner as a pastor and as a scholar. The app has helped me look at the Bible from a different set of eyes than when I was a younger man. The pastors on the app Really examine the text and further explain in detail, especially in chapter form vs. verses to help me see a better picture or just show me something I didn’t consider when reading the chapter prior.

Amazing how pastor Langham broke each scripture each verse each chapter to where I could understand not only that he was comical which you need in life, laughter is medicine. I remember reading Revelations and being scared and confused and read more of it and listening to other speakers and they cleared up somethings but I got the marjority of understanding here So I want to thank you! I just finished the book of Joshua with TTW. I have read it before. But this time, I was able to make the connections between Joshua and Jesus. Only possible from the context and commentary given from the TTW host.

TTW has brought me closer to God and helped me to witness about the LORD JESUS CHRIST. It’s still hard for me to share my story how Jesus changed my life and set me free from sin, but I am always looking for opportunities to share Jesus love. I hope I’m getting better. TTW has helped me pray each day which has brought me closer to my Lord and savior. I guess I’m a work in progress because I’m not perfect. There is only one perfect person my lord and savior. But I’m still trying Thank you for TTW. It’s changed my life and I’m sure many others Thank you for what you are doing!

I really love this Bible app! My first meetings with Through the Word and Kris we're Bible studies I did on YouVersion. A friend happened to tell me about the TTW app so I put it on my phone and I am so glad I did. I read through the complete Bible before but I decided to start the Journeys on TTW. I love how Kris talks about the chapter prior to me listening to it. I have learned such things as what a Samaritan is. I always wondered why they were downcast by the Jewish people and now I understand. I also loved the explanation on wives submit to your husband. I was married to a non-Christian and that verse always upset me because his ways were not my ways. After listening to Kris explain that verse, I now understand it pertains to a Christian husband and wife relationship. What an amazing journey! The book of Revalations has always confused and scared me. So many symbols, so many interpretations, so much confusion. Amazing way to see hidden things and understand that the bible is not a simple book to read. The most part of my life I found difficult to see Christ through books like exodus but now I now and I thank the Lord for your help and effort.

I am 58 years old and just came to faith 3 years ago. When I left my Catholic upbringing and went to college, I never paid attention to "God" or "religion" again, preferring to use the word "agnostic" in my belief system. Praise the Lord that he looked after me and chased me down! I found Through the Word on the YouVersion Bible app and it has been an absolute blessing, guiding me along my journey. It's my go-to when I don't understand something I'm reading in the Bible. I share TTW with everyone I talk to and it is helping my husband grow in his faith as well. Kris Langham’s method of going through the word with his commentaries has kept me engaged like never before when it comes to devotionals. I’ve never been able to make it a habit until now as I finish with the first journey and looking forward to the 2nd journey. Thank you!!

It’s brought me deeper into Gods word and helping me follow by faith even wheh I don’t understand what God has planned for me. I don’t always need to know but I always need to keep the faith. He lit up my life in the darkness to lead me back home!!! His grace and mercy is sufficient.

Letter to Through The Word (TTW) ministry - Book of Numbers & Leviticus I've been deep diving to learn about the bible in context - the people, the customs, the history, etc. And TTW starts me in the bible and gives info all along the way. While going through the book of Numbers I decided to go through Leviticus at the same time. That may have been a mistake on my part. Leviticus is hard, but not because it's boring - Thanks Peyton Jones. It's very informative...  And it points out that, no not one is without sin. You see, I can be a perfectionist with some things and that truly has served me well for certain projects and jobs. But in relationships and personal matters, perfectionism has caused me to fail miserably. So I guess going through Numbers at the same time as Leviticus ended up helping me. How? Well, every Christian on planet earth is the Israelites leaving Egypt, so to say. We fail badly and yet God keeps His promises to us, knowing that we will fail. We grumble. We choose idols. (Consider the phrase 'choose idols' as an old term for selfishness.) We grumble again. We choose idols again, but this time we choose a different one. You follow what I'm saying right? i.e. We keep sinning again and again. (Of course over time as we learn and apply God's Word to our life and submit to Him, we grow and mature in our faith - the goal is aiming and becoming more like Jesus throughout a lifetime.) So we will never be totally without sin in this lifetime, but long ago in Genesis, God had a plan to send Jesus through the nation of Israel... And praise God He is my Savior and Lord today! And I'm thankful He has been for several decades now. Now back to my point... I see God's unfailing love in the book of Numbers! Wow! I didn't know that I was going to see God's Unfailing Love as an overall message when I decided to go through the book of Numbers. Truly everything in the bible points to Jesus! (From Genesis to Revelation it's God's love for us, shown through Jesus.) And I saw Jesus in the book of Numbers! So where the book of Leviticus convicts the heart that it's sinful, the book of Numbers, when read through to the end, shows God keeping His promises, being with us even as we fail, teaching and leading us as He get us ready to enter the promised land! I've gone through so much since big covid in 2020. I married my high school sweetheart (35+ years later). Yea! But even before that, I started taking care of my soon to be father-in-law. But after covid my father-in-law fell and showed signs of the end stages of Alzheimer's... Unfortunately I just didn't know what Alzheimer's was yet. So my world grew exceedingly small, exasperatingly quickly. It was over a year before a diagnosis, but my father-in-law, who is also my friend still has Alzheimer's and there is no cure yet. A long goodbye is hard! We learned, we moved forward then we just moved towards failure. Hey, it's Alzheimer's. Now we have lots of help but this journey is not over. The hard part is this journey ends with death. The good part is... Oh yes, there is a good part, even though all of this. The good part is that the point is not about the end of this particular journey... The Journey is life and God unfailingly loves us throughout our life! My husband and I, of over 3 years now, are moving forward into the promised land that God has for us, now and in our near future. And because of Through The Word, the road trip has helped me to get ready for the wonderful promises of God! My husband and I are new to Through The Word - since Genesis for me and since Exodus for my hubby. It's a routine that we enjoy. We recently had a second bout with covid again and didn't do a single routine for almost two straight weeks... Covid still stinks! But we are back on track Through The Word and looking forward, as well as up! Thank you Kris Langham and all that give to TTW! I love going through the bible with TTW. It makes it easier for me to read my bible, learn about context and seeing the big picture. But it also helps me to dig deeper, especially the nifty side B 's. TTW is helping me to steadily and with a plan to go through my bible. That's a great help! I had not reread through the bible for a few years. I read my bible daily, but not this way. I try for one or two chapters daily. So busy in life, it’s easy to listen to one chapter, pour myself out of bed then listen to the speaker as I prepare for the day (then sneak in another with coffee.) I love the insights of the speakers and the common threads of journeys. Rhonda

Being a person with ADHD, the ability to finish things often seems a daunting task and I often feel feelings of failure before even beginning. TTW has become my go-to tool for conquering that feeling. I just finished the book of Psalms. All of them. One day at a time (okay, sometimes 2 Psalms in a day because I just wanted MORE). We've spent the last 150(ish) days together and faithful friends, you've helped me move mountains. In the last 150 days, I've fought the enemy, navigated the highs and lows of ministry, battled health issues, and seen our Lord's promises kept. Going through Ephesians has helped gain a deeper understanding of how to live and walk in the light of God and to make Him proud with every action of servitude in wholeheartedness

I have spent the last four and half years studying and enjoying the Through the Word “Bible Journeys” nineteen Journeys. I loved this complete study of Bible, by reading, listening and acquiring knowledge of the complete Bible. God has blessed me by His word, the knowledge that God has allowed me to receive over the past few years doing the Journeys has changed so much of my thought process of the Bible. Always knew and understood that the Bible is the words of God recorded by man under the power of the Holy Spirit. But Through the Word made it simple and clear for a simple person, me, to understand and follow. I never enjoyed reading the Bible as I should in the past because I did not understand many times the entire picture and meaning of what I was reading. Using Through the Wood app made each chapter clear by listening to the teacher and then by reading the chapters and the books of the Bible. Even though the teachings were clear, detailed and explained, I always have taken notes as I listen and completed each days lesson. By taking notes help to remember and personalize each lesson. The teaching staff have been great, some new members of teachers have been added in the past few years but I have enjoyed the different view points and style of each of them. I will always be thankful to Kris Langham for his dedication and faithness to bring the Through the Word app to life and never giving up during the early days. I have been able to witness and explain gospel to family and friends from the knowledge of God’s word by use of Through the Word app. I an planing to start the “New Testament in a Year” Journey right after I complete the “Lent “ Journey. I may have never became attached to Through the Word app but the very first time I heard Kris Langham teach I enjoyed the very first time I heard his voice and then found common thread between us. I live in Diamondhead Mississippi and years ago, Kris lived here and came to the Mississippi coast to pastor a church after a major hurricane that just destroyed our coastal area. I appreciate any man or preacher that will pick up his whole family and move to dedicated area to preach gospel of God to people that were devastated in more ways than you can describe, physical and spiritual,. Even today, Kris Langham is still reaching the people of Waveland, Bay St Louis and Diamondhead Mississippi though his app. Kris, I thank God for your ministry and dedication to reaching the lost and preaching and teaching the gospel! I’m a chapter away from finishing the book of Nehemiah and I want to say thank you to the TTW team for creating such an enriching body of work. I’m at a place where I feel like nothing in my life makes sense, and starting in Nehemiah, I wanted to learn how to rebuild the walls of my life from scratch but not doing it myself this time but doing it with God. The lessons have been transformational and applicable daily to my life. At every chapter, I am able to reflect and pray about all the things that have come up for me in each. I am so grateful for your obedience Ps Chris. May God enlarge and bless you and the entire team, greatly. Looking forward to starting the entire Bible from scratch after this.

I am grateful to God for this App, like Pastor Peyton Jones will always say, Leviticus is a bloody Chapter and of course, I get so overwhelmed about it already along the way that I don't get to finish reading it over the years but with this App and the teachers associated to it, it has made it so easy, relatable and prayable too. The journey through the book of Hebrews has encouraged me to draw closer to God, and be more attentive to the voice of God's Son.

TTW has helped me for years to understand scripture. Especially on difficult passages that cultural situations are explained such as the explanation of Paul’s comments about women in child birth in Timothy. I was mentoring a young man for about a year and we worked through several studies together.

TTW has been like a live commentary to me.Its has helped me listen to the Word on the go or in-between chores. I have been working and trying to get closer to Jesus. I have six faith-filled friends who are joyful and content, and I want what they have. But nothing I do seems to “get me there.” Then I realized that what I’m lacking is the “peace that transcends all understanding.” That’s what’s lacking, and that’s what I want.

Leviticus is tough. It's boring and hard to understand. The first time I read it, it did almost derail my reading of the whole Bible. It was just so much to get through. But wow, Pastor Peyton did a fabulous job of explaining each chapter, relating it to Jesus and breathing new life into a book most people dread. I looked forward to learning about each chapter and getting a better understanding of the Bible.

This bible reading plan has helped in putting me on the reminder everyday. This experience is gratefully building in me the bible reading habit which I almost lost prior to getting this app. Thanks to God for Chris and his team for the great work of God you are doing in touching lives.

The book of Ephesians has taught me so much about who I am to God and who God is. On parenting, on dating, marriage etc. The armour of God. Reading 1Samuel and listening to Sandy Adams made me think of the contrast between Saul and David. And I thought that could care so much about my own image so much that it causes me to have shame about allowing myself to be used and mistreated. I thought being tolerant with my wife was what God wanted me to do. David Way is just praying and trusting in God, now I can see how that can relieve me of shame and pain because it’s all up to God.

It helped me a lot in reading and understanding the book of Romans. Romans has changed my life and has given me a better understanding on how to live as a Christian.

This app has helped make reading the word of God a habit. The teaching and everything is Bible based and it's real world illustrations make it very simple to comprehend. Thank God for giving you this idea, I'm really blessed and I look forward to more
