Wall of Love for TTW

I finished the teaching for lent early because there were days I wanted to continue with the teaching. I like the reminder that lent doesn’t end after forty days. TTW continues to help me understand God’s word. Thank you all for blessing me everyday as I learn from this app.

I have been through the book of Romans before but I was at a point in my life and relationships I need it to hear it again. As always God gives us exactly what we need exactly when we need it. Thank you through the word

Reading Exodus and understanding the way God dealt with them from the moment He sent Moses to release them from slavery in Egypt to Exodus chapter 40 has given much to reflect on. I am amazed by God's patience towards us, a rebellious people. His love for us is immense and I have taken His grace for granted on many occasions. I must try and remember that He is Lord and I have to begin to live by His commands and what He wants for my life, not what I want. 🙏

The topic on faith in hebrews 11 have really opened up my heart en brain on faith is important in my Christian life, and will help me.in navigating my future lessons from.the Bible.and the way the pastor explains it is so wonderful,God bless the author of this app thanks

I am so blessed i love it thank you, I have so much to thank my Lord. He is always here with me. I have lupus and I go through a lot of pain, but I think of what Jesus went through on the cross my pain is not that bad when I think about what Jesus went through for me on the cross

I’ve always struggled with Revelation because of how complex it is. I’ve listened to several sermons over the years on it and for the first time listened to this app at the recommendation of a friend, listened to the commentary and understood better than I’d ever done. I like that the commentary is simple, clear, precise and fun to listen to so it sticks! I also like that for someone like me, it sticks to theme highlevel and perhaps focuses on one or two details…so not too much detail that we miss the main point! Where I didn’t really get it, I just listened to it over and over again 😂 Really good 👍🏾

This plan has been a game changer for me. I was slready listening and reading Samuel. But when my friend told me about this app, I decided to try it. Wow! I absolutely love the commentary by the Pastor before the reading of the Word. It helped tremendously in understanding and interpreting the Scripture. Thank you and God continued blessings. ❤️🙏

The book of Numbers is truly remarkable and I was made aware of this reality as I journeyed through the word with this study. The Old Testament is meant to build our faith and my faith has truly been built. Wow wow wow! Thank you through the word for this heart opening study

I’m not sure how I stumbled across through the word but anyway, it is really changed. My understanding of the Bible in such an amazing way. Pastor Kris explanations before the passages are read are extremely helpful ending informative. I recommend this app to anyone.

TTW has helped me in increasing the longevity of my Study Time of the scriptures. I just finished the book of Daniel and I've learned about resolve, wisdom, integrity, humility & Faithfulness. So many things I couldn't see on my own. Also I thank the teachers who put in their diligent best to explain and expound scriptures. I shared this with my close circle of friends via WhatsApp, who downloaded the app and are enjoying this spiritual experience as well. God Bless You All Immensely.

Though the Word has been an immense help in my understanding of the word. The commentary makes the difficult passages easy to understand. The way it has touched my life is I go to this app everyday to get the word. So much easier for me than reading the Bible and trying to figure it out in my own. A group if friends through our Church has what us called a growth group. We meet every Wednesday evening. There are several groups from our Church and each session lasts from 8 to 12 weeks. Most groups are in person but the group that I attend is an online group. The groups meet once a week. My group during the rest of the week as we read our Bible we take a verse and send it to the others in our group daily. I take the majority of my verses from TTW, just easier to understand. I GIVE HIGH FIVES TO TTW for all that they do.

Through the word has changed how I view God and understand the Bible I have made it apart of my prayer time and it is the reason why I understand so much more of Gods love. Thank you Jesus for this app

I have always dreaded reading levitcus because I did not understand it. So I skip it. Thus time I was able to read through it and the explanation after each chapter brought levitcus to live for me. I appreciate the death of Christ more and understand the need to set my self apart for God . May God help me to set my self apart live as o e who belongs to God, an instrument for his use. My role as a priest was also clearer. Thank you

I have been a Christian for decades, but have truly never completely read or understood the Bible in its entirety. The way Pastor Kris explains the passage that’s going to be read with such detail and clarity has really help me to understand the Bible much better and give me much more confidence when reading it.

My husband and I went through this study together and it opened new understanding of Gods love for us and increased our knowledge and love for what Jesus did for us on the cross. Thank you!

It's so refreshing to listen to scripture in a way that I can relate instead of the scolding/judgmental types of sermons I usually experience. I was doing the revelation plan on Youversion and through the word was the group that was teaching it. They did a very good job explaining everything so I downloaded the TTW app on my phone. I was also doing the one year plan on Youversion, whenever I didn’t understand something I would go to TTW to explain. Eventually I started reading one chapter of Youversion and the explanation on TTW. I have 14 days left on the Youversion one year plan I just started on Hebrews. When I start the reread soon I will read every chapter with a TTW explanation. I can’t wait to get to get to Leviticus 😁. Thank you Though the Word for making my Bible reading experience even better. I lead a Bible Study for women and we were studying the Book of James. I used the TTW on James to prepare for leading the study and also played it for our meetings to add to our understanding and conversation. The commentary was very helpful for all of us. Several members have downloaded the TTW app.

I’ve just finished and it has touched and nourished my mind, heart & soul so very deeply. I am now inspired to do the entire Bible with this wonderful resource. This is the perfect time for everyone to study The Book of Jonah. I did so due to all the feelings I have been entertaining lately due to politics. I knew I was wrong for judging others and having no love for them. I needed this study right now. I have been changed, Praise The Lord!

The explanation of the word was very helpful to me. I was able to comprehend passages that I had trouble understanding. It has being a blessing for my spiritual growth.

I so appreciate Pastor Kris's teaching! After some very dry times (years) I've sought the Lord, asking Him why is it that I hear teaching and read many devotionals and it seems there is not the depth or the nourishing that I am seeking or need. But that is not been the case here with Pastor Kris's teaching on Hebrews. It has spoken to my heart and life and helps me be patient in other arenas where there is teaching of God's Word. Just finished Journey 6 with my friend and so enjoyed the teaching. Listening to the book of Numbers as they journey to the promise land and in that to follow, follow God whole heartily.

This app has truly been an inspiration to me and a great way for me to better understand the books in which I’m reading. The Bible can be confusing but the discussion of each chapter and the breakdown of key verses has truly changed my desire to want to continue and read more

I started listening to these devotionals on the you version app and was amazed. I believe i started with galations, and tho I've read that book 20, 30, maybe 40 times, Kris showed me things in there i had never seen before!! I've been walking with God again for over 20yrs now, right before i went into prison, I've been saved since i was 13 tho, so 37yrs, but my later teens and my 20s were spent far from God, lol, probably as far as you could get 🤷 In these past 20yrs or so tho i was involved with very charismatic churches, and i just always felt defeated, like i couldn't be good enough, like i couldn't compare to all the "super saved" people i was around. Well in the last 4 years God had been showing me different, that is not about anything i do or don't do, it's about what Jesus already did, and most of all about love!! Well, me in my pride and arrogance took that way to far and was doing some things i knew wasn't pleasing to God, and i was living in bondage. Knowing God still loved me, but also knowing i wasn't pleasing Him. The last few months tho He's been showing me the error of my ways, and these devotionals, and the way he explains every chapter by chapter, and not in a "religious" way at all has been very edifying!! So thank you ♥️🙌

Good Mornin , My husband Bill found this APP and it is an awesome way to study our bible . We have just finished our 3rd complete book with Proverbs. And starting Job tomorrow. To be able to have an understanding of what God’s word is saying, is bringing a peace into my life that’s hard to explain for sure. We are very grateful and blessed that you and those around you are trusting in Gods word, and showing your obedience and caring of those around you that you are teaching the truth that’s in the word of God.

I am soooo thankful for the pastors at through the word. They have helped me sooooo much to understand the Bible. I am beyond thankful to have them explain the Bible deeper than I’d ever be able to do on my own. God is soooo good working through these pastors to speak to us and explain the Bible. I could have never imagined learning the Bible without this app. The app makes reading the Bible easier to understand and it has helped me learn so much more. Instead of never opening my Bible because it’s so hard to understand, with the through the word app, it helps take those frustrations away and makes it so much easier to learn! Sometimes we shut down as humans when things get hard or we avoid reading the Bible because we say we don’t understand it or understand what it’s talking about, but through the word helps me so much to understand and they make it a joy to listen. I’m beyond thankful and I share it with everyone I know!

I am 62. I've known Jesus since I was 14; however, I have struggled over all these years with my walk. I was consistently in church and involved. I've been in many Bible studies. I never struggled with believing in Jesus or God or even the Holy Spirit but there always seemed to be this wall affecting my relationship with God and my desire to get closer and really know Him. Inwardly, it had often made me feel like such a hypocrite. Yes I know past traumas play a role, but for the first time in my life, because of TTW, I am beginning to understand who Jesus really is and what the Bible is saying. I look forward to each lesson and new aha moment. Chris's ability to break each chapter down simplistically and relatably has penetrated my heart and mind helping me to understand the Bible with clarity. It's what has been missing!! I look forward to studying my Bible with a renewed excitement. I gotta know Jesus... because the more I know, the more I want to tell (and can do so with clarity)!! He is awesome! I am finally beginning to experience the closeness I've always longed for with my heavenly Father, my Daddy. The decades old wall has started to crumble. Thank you Chris and TTW for all you are doing. I am being transformed. So excited about the rest of the journey!

I love how Kris and the team narrate each chapter, it gives me a visual and I loved how Kris summed up the book with key points, I took the time to take pen to paper, this way I can look back on what was taught

I have been in a battle, but I don't know why. I have prayed that God would teach me and that I would draw closer to Him. I have been crying a lit lately and I feel in conflict. Today is the 3rd Sunday of Lent and listening to the series for Lent TTW covered Psalm 85 with emphasis on verse 6, "Will you not revive us again so that Your people may rejoice in You?". That revival is exactly what I need in my life. Thank you for allowing God to speak to me Through The Word🙌

I started reading The One Year Bible last April 12, 2024. I incorporated TTW’s Bible teachings after reading each days chapters. It is now March 23, 2025 and I must say TTW has helped me learn and understand so much more of what I’m reading, I love all the typology in the O. T. Many ahh ha moments. Jesus truly is The Word. When listening to your Bible teachings, I always end up sharing with friends who come to mind and posting on FB because I want to shout, “you’ve got to hear this, it explains so much”! Thank you for your ministry and dedication to God, your seeds are reaching & growing in fertile ground!! God speed.

This letter shows that due to the love of Christ, I may have my own problems yet pray fervently for others. Tells me of the love of Christ and his expectation for each body of my family. It makes me refocus on Christ as the perfect picture of Christianity.

I enjoyed this version and reading Jeremiah. I understood the books of Ezekiel and Daniel more. It was a wonderful review of history and of the land of Judah Thank you for providing this through your app!

I have been in a dry season in my life for about well many years. Studying Timothy God used Paul’s words to Timothy to fan into flame the ministry God had given him. It rekindled my own ministry within me, brought back to life hope and courage to live my last days here on earth as strong as I did in the beginning. I spent many years fighting the good fight and running the race & I have remained faithful to my Jesus. I feel the Lord wants to use me in these last years of my life here on earth with a rekindled desire for ministry.

I am happy to come across this app. So many Bible verses that were confusing to me have been addressed. Thank you, Pastor Kris.

The story of Jacob and Esau is one like my own. Although I am not a twin, my mother raised my younger brother and I very different. I was Esau in the story and I grew up bitter because I was treated different being a woman. After 23 years estranged and me being born again I forgave my brother and now we talk regularly. He acknowledged that my mother raised him differently. I will not tell him how different because it's passed as well as our mother has passed. We are all we have left and it is time to get to know each other as adults since we cannot regain childhoods.

Thru The Word offers me God's guidance, insight and wisdom, one chapter at a time. Hearing, reading and meditating on a whole chapter shows me the patterns of thought as options for my own prayers

TTW is very helpful. I like the scripture reading and the references given. The commentator has a calming voice to listen to. The revelation series was a great study.

Book of Jonah has many lessons for me as a believer. In all the lessons it's clear "The Word of the Lord is clear and constant" Our God is slow to anger abounding in Love.

Through The Word has being of tremendous help in my Bible journey since I downloaded the app in the last quarter of 2024. For the first time in my Bible journey, I enjoyed going through the book of Leviticus with expectations. Thanks to Kris Langham and Peyton Jones. Your teaching style makes TTW an app I cannot do without in a day. A special thanks to Peyton Jones on the good guidance provided for the book of Acts. It was a revival experience for me during my journey through the book of Acts of the Apostles. I have installed TTW app on my husband's handset and constantly urged him to use the app for his Bible journey. This is the first time I've done one of your journeys with a couple friends, and it was so cool to study to read and learn and hear each other's perspectives as a parishioner as a pastor and as a scholar. We are three very different women, but totally absolutely love the Lord with all our hearts and have been in dear friends for many many years And I just wanna say thank you to through the word for encouraging study and depth of relationship with God and with each other other.

The app has helped me look at the Bible from a different set of eyes than when I was a younger man. The pastors on the app Really examine the text and further explain in detail, especially in chapter form vs. verses to help me see a better picture or just show me something I didn’t consider when reading the chapter prior.

Amazing how pastor Langham broke each scripture each verse each chapter to where I could understand not only that he was comical which you need in life, laughter is medicine. I remember reading Revelations and being scared and confused and read more of it and listening to other speakers and they cleared up somethings but I got the marjority of understanding here So I want to thank you! I just finished the book of Joshua with TTW. I have read it before. But this time, I was able to make the connections between Joshua and Jesus. Only possible from the context and commentary given from the TTW host.

TTW has brought me closer to God and helped me to witness about the LORD JESUS CHRIST. It’s still hard for me to share my story how Jesus changed my life and set me free from sin, but I am always looking for opportunities to share Jesus love. I hope I’m getting better. TTW has helped me pray each day which has brought me closer to my Lord and savior. I guess I’m a work in progress because I’m not perfect. There is only one perfect person my lord and savior. But I’m still trying Thank you for TTW. It’s changed my life and I’m sure many others Thank you for what you are doing!

Kris’ passion for the team was heard loud and clear as I just finished Journey 3, specifically Romans 16. A retired engineer, I also usually skip and browse past the names listed in the Gospel. Not any more! Thank you for connecting the human relationships thru the Holy Spirit …

I really love this Bible app! My first meetings with Through the Word and Kris we're Bible studies I did on YouVersion. A friend happened to tell me about the TTW app so I put it on my phone and I am so glad I did. I read through the complete Bible before but I decided to start the Journeys on TTW. I love how Kris talks about the chapter prior to me listening to it. I have learned such things as what a Samaritan is. I always wondered why they were downcast by the Jewish people and now I understand. I also loved the explanation on wives submit to your husband. I was married to a non-Christian and that verse always upset me because his ways were not my ways. After listening to Kris explain that verse, I now understand it pertains to a Christian husband and wife relationship.
