I'm 66 and have always believed but never really studied God's Word so I am relatively new to this. I have listened to a number of Bible reading/teaching plans and really like Kris Langham's voice, pace, expanations, humor, and overall knowledge. I found Through the Word in the Bible.com app and after completing a couple of the plans is when I discvered the stand alone TTW app which I like as well. IMHO, If you are looking for a good informational Bible learning source that sticks to good Bilical teachings, I higly recommend Kris Langham's Through the Word.

I’ve shared your app with my sister and now she’s listening to TTW on her walks. I’ve shared your app with few other people and I will continue to share it. I really like the plan on James especially the one about your tongue and what it can be good or be evil. I definitely was a teaching moment for me and I make resin art and I have a lot of the stuff and I don’t really ever sell them but I like giving them out as gifts so I decided to randomly give them out with short Bible verses on them and links to YouVersion and TTW to help spread the word of Jesus. I felt the calling to spread the Love of Jesus with my resin art.

I stumbled upon TTW through the YouVersion app. I am ever so glad to because TTW and the Chosen series have made the Bible come alive so to speak. The explanations, the examples and the quips(mostly from Pastor Chris) have made reading the Bible an enjoyable learning experience for me. As a 68 y/o go to church on Sundays to check the box and feel good about myself person I just existed I think. I never actually sat down and read the Bible. Because of finding TTW about four years ago I now look forward to my mornings of devotions and learning (not just reading words) the Bible. Thank all of you who work in this ministry. I feel like a Christian now, not just a church goer. Bless you all!

I don’t know what happened to me but after the Charley Kirk killing I just started to feel this hunger to start learning again about God and I truly want to change my life to be more like Christ. I have always believed in God but something changed inside me, like it is now really important to me and I want to change my lifestyle to reflect more about what Jesus is like and what he wants of me personally. I have been using this app almost every day for about an hour and a half as I take my walk with God and enjoy thinking about his word. I know this feeling I have doesn’t seem very dramatic but something has definitely changed in me and I think about Jesus all day long and pray constantly throughout the day. So am sending now. 🌼 My amazing Bible Study Sisters group have had an absolutely wonderful experience going through the EPIC book of Esther together. The 4 of us study daily across the world from Australia to America to England. Esther has been so exciting, like watching a 10 part movie series. Between us, the adventure was so full with loads of interesting questions and communications, as we dug in so deeply with extra research and imaginatively recreating the scenes of each chapter in our sharing and thought process. I can not express how blessed we all are for going through this study together. We learned so much that I want to go back and listen to it all again with our well over 200 voice messages between us!!!! 😄 such an epic adventure Through The Word. It has challenged me, made me grow in my faith and definitely helped me to understand Gods Plan for all of us. I am 74 and how I wish I would have had something like this when I was much younger! THROUGH THE WORD …don’t leave home without it…you never will because you never leave home without your phone do you? Even my dog enjoys reading along with me. Thank you Kris and staff for a job well done!

The book of Daniel has been confusing to me. TTW has given me a better understanding of Daniel. Two points I come away with are kings and kingdoms will come and go but God will always be in control. 12:9 comforts me in not understanding everything. “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end”. I don’t need to understand I have faith in Jesus Christ and trust his promises.

This has been such a powerful journey for me and the other men that walked through it with me. Especially the time we spent in Job. It came just before a sudden loss in my family and I have no doubt God was using it to prepare me for what we endured with our loss. It truly helped me not get lost in my pursuit of the “why” but helped me stayed focused on WHO I serve and who loves me so much. He has a purpose behind the pain and my time through our journey truly helped me in seeing and believing that. Truly blessed by the journeys and studies I have done with through the word. I have been a follower of Christ for many years now. Yet I still struggle with forgiveness. How could He forgive me for all the horrible things I have done?! All the people I have hurt. For hurting Him. How is that possible? Because of this devotional I can see now that God has truly forgiven me because of His Son Jesus. What a HUGE burden that has been lifted off my soul! Thank you Through the Word for helping me see that and for all that you do. Blessings

The TTW has touched my spiritual journey especially since I had a stroke in November 2023. During that time God became quiet and I couldn't hear Him. It took me a few months to hear Him speaking to me again. My speech was most affected, so I was searching for an app to hear God's word again, and God led me to your app. Before the stroke, I was studying to be a local preacher of our church, so TTW has become my special bond with God and what He is saying through Kris to me. It has allowed me to participate in a Men’s Bible study weekly when my church does not offer that opportunity. It has been a real blessing when my friend from out of state and in a different time zone called and wondered if I would be interested. Even though we are only a group of two. It has been wonderful to be held accountable to another Christian brother to read the scripture, discuss it and dig deeper at times. Thank you for this ministry. Men you can make it work if you have the desire, discipline and commitment to serve the Lord.

Hi, I am so great full for the teaching I am receiving. Through the Word has uncovered so much of Gods teachings and through the book of Job, I have found new freedom. I wanted to understand the book of Job due to a similar situation I found myself in this last year. I had many things happen, I lost my rental house due to them selling and thought I’d be sleeping in the car, I lost my dad in January and then had to nurse my dying mum in April/May. I arrived back at work to find I’d been falsely accused of a lot of things and demoted, bruising my ego, I found out I was being bullied behind my back by leaders at work, in a space I could not be to defend myself. My son was in a spontaneous attack by people wanting to have a fight. There are many more little things in and amongst these things as well. All this along with the grief made me wonder if I was being tested, similarly to Job. I began to read and listen to the teachings of Job, each day learning what Job did and trying to not fall into the same traps. I worshipped the sovereign God, keeping my eyes on him, stopping talking about my situation to defend myself but left it up to God to get me out. I was very much hoping to hear from God when he spoke in the last three chapters and He did not disappoint me. The last chapter was where he spoke to me so loudly, I could feel His presence in my lounge area so fully, that I felt like I needed to lie in the floor. God got Job to pray for his three friends and it so happened that there were three people at work making life difficult for me. I prayed for God to forgive me for my thoughts and feelings towards them and felt God wanted me to pray for their forgiveness too, it was such a powerful moment in Gods presence and the feeling of freedom that came after I cried my prayers aloud that morning was so so so good. I believe your teaching, the testing I have been through and God using all of this, has brought about so much refining in me this year. I am so great full for this app, I share it with people often and I pray blessings on all of you in the team. I possibly won’t get to meet you here on earth, but I’m looking forward to spending eternity with you all. Lots of love, Deb
