I have worked over 2 decades directly with anesthesiologists, nurses and surgeons in the O.R. P Letter gives me rapid access to charts, articles and of course the monthly letter, that I can either advise from or hand out for clinical decision making (often on an urgent basis). Invaluable!

Pharmacist's Letter has been the easiest way to for me to keep up-to-date over the 38 years I've been a pharmacist. As a PRN float pharmacist for much of that time, I was not always privy to the regular communications between pharmacists in the day-to-day practice at a specific pharmacy and missed seeing patient's issues evolve or resolve. Pharmacist's Letter allowed me to keep up with recent changes, including whole drug classes that have emerged since I started practicing decades ago. The short, to-the-point content is perfect for my learning style. The supplemental material, especially the charts are great for quick access as well as a good learning tool as they show everything in one place comparing various drugs with their pros and cons. It's easier for me to remember, especially when I'm learning new drug classes. Pharmacist's Letter has been my constant companion at each of the last 19 license renewals. It has helped me stay current, stay licensed, and continue to be the dependable source of drug information for my patients. And to show how much I rely on Pharmacist's Letter, It's not just a tab or bookmark on my computer. I still have some of the binders I used years ago to keep my Letters. I use them now to hold some of the best go-to charts (that I still print out because I'm old). I keep my MTM handouts in them and refer to them regularly. I guess you could say I have vintage swag. I'll retire soon, but it's been a pleasure having Pharmacist's Letter with my on my pharmacist journey.

I have been using Pharmacist’s Letter since I was in last year of pharmacy school 2003. Dr Fish is one of my professor, who taught us infection diseases topic introduced us this great source. I used Pharmacist letter’s not only for CE but also for updating knowledge of medicine throughout the years. I appreciated what Pharmacist letter have done for our Pharmacist, saving our time and provide us most helpful information to apply our practice every day. I really like to listen to the podcast, live and saving time for us. We can listen during cooking or eating breakfast before getting ready to work. I highly recommend the pharmacist’s letter to our pharmacist, not only for CEs but also supporting our pharmacist team who spent time to keep us update drug knowledge every day.

I've been a pharmacist for 39 years and have been reading your newsletter the entire time. I've always enjoyed the format. You've brought things up that I didn't have an awareness to, often times the knowledge helping at work. For years I've made my technicians and interns read it and discuss one or two of the more interesting things. Thanks for a great 40 years!

Pharmacist's Letter has provided so much more than just continuing education. Over 30 years ago I was introduced to Pharmacist's Letter at my first job. I remember when the article about dental prophylaxis in joint replacement patients came out, we wrote up the recommendations and took the points to the local dentists. Even when my job no longer provided the Letter, I continued with a personal subscription. I currently work at a free and charitable clinic where the majority of the providers are retired. The charts and tables have been so helpful in presenting educational material, selecting our formulary and writing treatment protocols. It is fabulous to have an unbiased reliable source of information.

I can’t begin to tell you how much I use and enjoy reading Pharmacists Letter. My company used to pay for it but the stopped due to the cost and ever since, I have paid for my own subscription because it not only improves my knowledge of so many subjects but it also improves my understanding of those subjects in lay terms. I also rely on it for at least 12 hours of CE every year for the 2 states I am registered in. I absolutely love the charts provided and use them on a daily basis for my consultation job. It is an invaluable resource that I would never do without in my practice. I will even keep it when I retire to keep up on the latest in pharmacy. Never stop learning!

I have subscribed to Pharmacists Letter since I was a pharmacy student almost 20 years ago. I use the birth control chart (“my BC Bible”) every single day as well as the steroid cream equivalency chart at work. Don’t even get me started on the CEs that I do every month. I can’t professionally live without you.

I recall, as a student pharmacist, hearing of Pharmacist Letter. One of my preceptors and valued mentors showed me the publications by Pharmacist Letter and highly recommended me to subscribe once I was licensed. I did just that! Since that time, I continue to show my students. My brief explanation is that it is written by pharmacists for pharmacists. The publication assumes you have basic knowledge and builds on that knowledge to provide a quick, concise update. Furthermore, I was an adjunct faculty member for a physician assistant studies program. During my time, I would utilize updated information from Pharmaicst Letter to be certain my students were receiving the most up-to-date guidelines.

I had my own pharmacy for almost 36 years. It was tough going at times. I enjoyed helping customers but the insurance companies and government regulators didn’t make it easy. The Pharmacist’s Letter made it easy to stay current with valuable information to help my patients, keep up on my necessary continuing education credits, and keep my pharmacy education current. I am retired now, but still like to stay current with my Pharmacist’s letter subscription. I would definitely recommend it to every pharmacist!

I had at one point on my career 12 licenses for different states . I don’t know what i would have done to keep abreast of all the hours I needed to meet the requirements. Not that I am partially retired I just have to worry on my home state license and will continue to use PL for that. I was originally signed up when Jeff Jellin ran things so look forward to keeping my membership for 40 years counting.

I received a one-year subscription to Pharmacist’s Letter as a graduation gift from the Dean of the School of Pharmacy at Drake University in 1991, and I’ve been a subscriber ever since. It provides well-researched, evidence-based updates without ads or industry bias. Each issue keeps me current and includes references for deeper exploration—an invaluable resource I highly recommend. Thank you for being a trusted partner for continuing education, so we can take the best care of our patients and communities.

PL made completing most of the CA Board of Pharmacy's 30 unit/2 year requirement convenient, affordable, and interesting. I used what I learned from PL monthly CEs as well as topical CEs to consult my patients and advise MDs etc. with evidence-based pharmacy / therapeutic information. I will be happy to recommend PL to new pharmacy school graduates and RPhs who come from Taiwan, Japan, Korea, etc. and want to have the most efficient vehicle to learn current trends etc. in pharmacy so they can be professional members of the health care team.

I'm a hospital pharmacist. Following the pharmacist letter for the last 25+ years has kept me current on topics I don't see in the hospital. I use this knowledge to help my friends and family. This has made me a better pharmacist and a great resource. I also love the extravasation chart I use this often. thank you

What Pharmacist Letter Means to Me I first became a loyal proponent and staunch advocate of PHARMACIST LETTER in 1992. I am a 1978 graduate of THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF PHARMACY. and began my professional career working at Wheeling Hospital where I had previously interned and where I remained a hospital pharmacist there for the next 10 years. I married a fellow pharmacist (DOUG) who worked at a neighboring hospital. We had 4 beautiful children together (about 2 years apart) during which time I did “fill in” at a variety of retail pharmacies in the Ohio Valley when I was available. Lucky for me, in 1992, I happened to be “filling in” at a K-mart pharmacy. There, I picked up a copy of PHARMACIST LETTER laying on the countertop and just couldn’t put it down until I had read it in its entirety. That experience at K-mart prompted me to immediately become a lifelong prescriber whereby I was able to receive my monthly copy at home and allowed me to catch up on past and present pharmacy news at my convenience. If I recall, I wrote a check for about $499 which was well worth it! PL is written in clear, concise, organized, and unbiased fashion. It keeps me abreast of new drugs on the market, of me-too drugs marketed with nuances, of recalled drugs, of new policies and procedures, of changes in package inserts and new guidelines and advances in therapies. Keep in mind that back then, there was no requirement for CONTINUING EDUCATION in my state. But when it become a requirement to report CE credits for license renewal, PHARMACIST LETTER made sure they provided CE-IN THE LETTER as well as other special topics of interest that arose in the course of our practice. They are invaluable. Two areas PL addressed are homeopathic meds and herbal meds which are often asked about at the counter because they can be purchased as OTC(over-the-counter). Our customers trust pharmacists who give them sincere, honest, and free advice. The clarity of the “charts” you provide give us a clear and quick format for counseling. Pharmacist letter does a great job of keeping up with legal mandates which tend to be complex and vary widely from state to state. Controlled Substance policy, procedure, and accountability are other areas in which pharmacists must be vigilant and where PL is helpful in monitoring rules and regulations, such as with the REMS programs to insure safety and to prevent drug interactions as well. And with the advent of certified Pharmacist-Immunizers (as well as certified techs) incorporated into our daily practice, PL has added that area of expertise to their instruction for us. In addition, I am a Preceptor for many pharmacy students who spend time in the pharmacy doing research projects of all kinds. I have mentored them and highly recommend Pharmacist Letter as one of the best resources they have at their fingertips, especially when considering the ease of use. They agree and often express their gratitude to me for showing them the value that PL provides. As a guest speaker for many community events and non-profit organizations, PL has given me ideas for topics that are trending and would be appropriate for the group with whom I am addressing. I feel comfortable in using PL as my trusted source for up- to- date and timely information in this publication. And “KUDOS” to the staff who have always been kind and efficient in responding to my occasional phone calls regarding a variety of questions and concerns. THANK YOU for making my “job” a REWARDING PROFESSION. BEST REGARDS, Judy Cosentino Peckens, RPh

I was one of the first pharmacists to start a subscription to Pharmacist's Letter. I began reading the publication when I was still a student in Pharmacy School. I like the style of concise presentation of the facts. I still read each monthly publication to keep abreast of new drugs and issues facing the profession. The CEs give valuable information in more detail, while the charts provide summary data in a usable format. Overall, I appreciate the service and I always recommend Pharmacist's Letter to my colleagues. Thank you and keep up the outstanding work!

Pharmacists Letter has been around as long as I’ve been in pharmacy. We first met at Purdue University; I was a pharmacy student and PL was in a binder that we updated every month. That was long before computers were mainstream. As pharmacy changed, PL was beside me. From up to date information, to helpful charts, to continuing education PL has helped make me a better pharmacist. The comparison charts were fabulous in those early days of AIDS treatment and genetic substitution. As the binder was replaced by the computer (thank heavens) PL was even more valuable to me. As for recommending PL to others, I’ve steered so many professionals to it.

And believe it or not, I still have some of my old patients call me with questions. When I ask them who their current pharmacist is, they tell me and then always reply, "but they don't KNOW as much as you do". Thank you, Pharmacist's Letter for making me always appear that way! I would recommend PL to anyone and everyone, and have done so many times. I always made it required reading for my younger pharmacists, and believe that it should be required for ALL pharmacists! Happy 40th Birthday, PL! Love you!

I have used Pharmacist’s Letter for many years. It is always timely as to content. The sections are concise and to the point. You can always delve more in depth if needed. Very enjoyable form of education. Best continuing education that I have ever had for pharmacy. Pharmacist for 52 years. Sold my pharmacy recently. Keeping my license and still looking forward to staying knowledgeable through the Pharmacist’s Letter.

I have worked unconventional pharmacy practice for twenty years (first at a compounding pharmacy and now at a medical marijuana dispensary). Pharmacist's letter has been an invaluable resource to keep me apprised of mainstream pharmacy knowledge. The monthly newsletter goes into the right amount of detail to be informative without being boring. The information is always timely as well. There have been innumerous times that a question came up at work or from a friend or family member and I was able to say, "I just read about that..." and then recalled the info I recently learned from The Pharmacist's Letter.

In the busy world of healthcare, Pharmacist Letter keeps me up to date with the latest news and changes to recommendations in "bite-size" articles. No more skimming through long articles to find the relevant data, because Pharmacist Letter does that for me. Insurances constantly change formularies, and it is helpful to have charts such as "Inhaled Medications for COPD" to quickly find an alternative to recommend to physicians' offices that will be covered. I've also used "Equianalgesic Dosing of Opioids" for pain management recommendations in the nursing home setting. I recommend Pharmacist Letter as a tool every pharmacist should have at their fingertips.

Pharmacist's Letter has been instrumental in staying current with indications, interactions, and information regarding safe medication use. It has been one of my strongest recommendations to the pharmacy students and Pharm.D. candidates that I have mentored for many years! The best story was overhearing a conversation of a fellow handbell ringer complain that her feet/legs were bothering her out-of-the-blue; come to find out, she had started ciprofloxacin just days before. I excused my interruption to tell her that I had just read about the Achilles tendon rupture with fluoroquinolones in Pharmacist's Letter. She contacted her physician and she then cancelled her plans to run a 5K! Both her infection and lower extremity pain resolved safely. Thank you!

When the talk about insulin determir (Levemir) leaving the market began, and Indian Health Service switched the long-acting insulin product on formulary over to insulin glargine, the “How to Switch Insulin Products” guide was instrumental in helping us transition our patients! Providers and pharmacists alike had copies and references them each time a patient needed to be switched, as we had some patients on NPH and premixed products that we were converting as well! I still keep a copy close at hand, though luckily most of our patients are stabilized on their current regimen. As a small, rural, federal facility, we had limited resources available but use Pharmacist’s Letter as a non-biased, trusted source with clear, concise guidance that is easy to interpret and apply.

I was introduced to the Pharmacist’s Letter by a preceptor during my last year of school and I’ve had a subscription ever since. As a mom this is the perfect way for me to keep up with CE’s. I love that they can be completed from anywhere and I’m not rushing to complete all of the requirements at the end of the license renewal period. I 100% recommend Pharmacist’s Letter!

I have been a subscriber since pharmacy school. As a student, I found the quick and short monthly newsletters were perfectly concise. When I became a hospital pharmacist, I would pull up a chart or recent article on the current and relevant topic. This was particularly helpful when I was rounding with the medical team. I appreciate the citations and unbiased review of the clinical trial. I also appreciated the financial aspect of new therapies and great "real life" tips to provide to pts. I always told my students that it is a great resource and definitely worth the money.

I have had the pharmacist letter as a staff and director or pharmacy in hospitals and staff and pharmacist in charge in retail. Being licensed in three states I appreciated how easy the CE kept track of everything. The letter has kept me up-to-date, and even in retirement keeps me current for my licenses and knowledge for friends and family.

In 1986, my husband and I purchased a struggling pharmacy in a small West Virginia town. I immediately purchased Pharmacist’s Letter and have used it since. It has kept me current on relevant topics and allowed me to help patients in a knowledgeable and professional way throughout my entire career. The CE is usable information and has saved me a lot of time while staying up to date. I can’t tell you how many times a patient has asked a question about something that I had JUST read in Pharmacist’s Letter. I appreciate it and always recommend it to others in the profession.

Pharmacist Letter is THE Gold Standard in community pharmacy. As a 1980 phcy school graduate, that works with a lot of recent graduates, I can’t afford to be that out-of-date guy. PL keeps my practice of phcy up to where it needs to be. Thanks especially for the Letter & Live CE! First rate & world class! Highly recommended!

Pharmacist’s Letter has always provided timely drug therapy information that was relevant to my practice and practice interests. The “quick read” format has fit very well into my busy professional life. I read each issue soon after receipt and have confidence in therapy recommendations. The charts and tables are very useful for comparative information. I definitely recommend Pharmacist’s Letter for busy pharmacists.

Pharmacist letter has a variety of resources that have help my practice over the years. Such as the medications to dispense on the original bottle chart which has help a lot to prevent reimbursement loss, to the new USP standards in regards to compounding to ensure that we are following standards as it has been incorporated into most state laws. Pharmacist Letter CE also offers a plethora of topics to enhance our knowledge while helping me to meet my licensing requirement. Pharmacist letter has save me time and save the pharmacy money over the years while helping me to do the best job I can when caring for my patients. I would highly recommend The Pharmacist Letter to any pharmacist, as it’s a valuable resource but not a huge monetary nor time investment. It’s offers its product at an affordable price that even a new graduate can afford. And the concise nature of TPL makes it so we can get necessary information without digging through tons of literature
