We were motivated to purchase a Treat Therapeutics poop kit as our adopted Schnauzer Gama had been experiencing soft poop since we adopted her over a year ago. Her blood works were fine and as far as the vet is concerned there didn’t seem to be any medical issue. The team at Treats was very patient in going through Gama’s poop analysis with us. It is still rather mysterious as her results varied drastically through 3 tests over the course of 2+ months despite little change in her diet. On my vet's recommendation, I sent off my Scottish Terrier's poo sample for microbiome testing. He has always eaten a varied, home cooked diet of high quality produce, which the canine nutritionalist I consulted with described as "gold standard" diet. Unfortunately, however, he has had repeated instances of gastric upset, leading to a diagnosis of low grade irritable bowel disease with inflammation of his gut and pancreas. As a result, he has been on a very bland restricted diet for months. The test kit is very easy to use, with clear instructions and an easy process to send it to the lab. There was a wait of a few weeks before I got the report. The report is granular in detail and so they offer a complementary follow up session. The vet and I therefore had a video meeting with Treat Therapeutics to go through the key hilights of the report and ask questions. This session is a real value add as the Treat Therapeutics expert, Emmanuel, was able to drill down to 2 findings which were particularly relevant to his IBD issues and we were able to discuss and tweak the recommendations on what to introduce to his diet to improve these 2 low scores which were linked to his IBD. This was followed with a written record of their recommendations. Emmanuel was very helpful and pitched his comments at the right level for me, as concerned pet parent, and also the vet, as knowledgeable professional. Without his input, we would not have known what his microbiome is saying about his health problems. I have just begun the changes to diet so can't comment on the outcome but will definitely be following up with Emmanuel and with a further test in due course to monitor his progress.

Anne here with Kai the Rhodesian ridgeback. We used the gut biome test which was recommended by our vet. Kai has been been having some tummy troubles and we wanted to find out what was going on. My name is Sara Lam and my dog is Cupid. I purchased the itch and scratch supplement because Cupid is lacking fat/ protein and carbs digestive enzymes and he has a sensitive stomach and can only take limited variety of protein. The best thing about Treat's service is that they are very responsive to answering any questions. I will start using the supplement and try to add vegetables, which Cupid hates and see if it will help him.
