I would like to provide some feedback regarding my experience with Unchained.  Customer service at Unchained is phenomenal.Nowadays, I found myself often get very frustrated when I am on the calls or at stores due to companies’ customer service. Firstly, most of the time, they are not knowledgeable and don’t know what they are talking about because they were trained to read off scripts.  Secondly, company is not willing to train employees properly and therefore they don’t have the experience or that they couldn’t retain employees that are knowledgeable. Thirdly, they don’t care about their job, they are just there for their paychecks. What I am saying is that it’s not just they don’t know the answers, but that they don’t care to find out the answer either. Their best answer is “I don’t know” end of the story and hoping you will go away.  It happens from food courts, retails and the big corporations. There is almost no customer service.  I have been in the consulting Industry for the past 15 years so for me to say Unchained’s customer service is out of the world is not exaggerating at all.  Maybe this is the standard that all companies should offer but like I said, it is not something that you will run into at all on a day to day basis. What I like about Unchained: All of the employees that I encountered at Unchained are all: - Courteous  - Knowledgeable especially in this brand new industry of crypto.  - Patience; there is not a time I sensed that unchained found me stupid because I still don’t understand crypto as much as I should. - They get back to me usually on the same day after my call that filled with questions. - They sent me tutorial videos/info related to the questions that I had on the calls.- They find out answers if they don’t know on top of their heads on the calls. I am very surprised that Unchained asks for feedback and offers a debrief session. I was in some pretty expensive coaching sessions and those coaches don’t even offer that. When you are done with the program, there isn’t even a proper farewell let alone a feedback session.  I can feel that Unchained genuinely care about their customer feedback and how they can make it better down the road.  People that has been helpful: Justin at the IRA team One other thing that I feel strongly from Unchained is that the information that I get has been consistent. I often found myself having to contact customer service hotline (other companies) multiple times to verify the answers they provide because each time I called, I tend to get a different answer. Then as a customer, I wonder which one should I go by and if something messed up, no one is accountable at the company because they are unable to track down who said what.  The fact that Unchained always calls me back after I left a voicemail, and even sometimes I don’t leave a voicemail, Unchained called me back and followed up with me. This is just amazing. When I called other companies and whoever that I am supposed to talk to is unavailable, they always ask me to call them back. It's  like I pay them just so that I can be their customer. All the responsibility is on me (customer) to track them down. If I couldn’t, then I am screwed. It is as if I just sat at home all day and got nothing to do other than to call them. 

I've held my stack of BTC since 2017. Coming into the space I was always taught "not your keys, not your coins". I always held my coins on a Trezor and seedphrase in my small apartment. As BTC entered a bull market in 2021 that amount of $$ sitting in my apartment became uncomfortable. What if I had a fire? What if I was robbed? During the bullmarket, my BTC became such a large portion of my net worth it made me worry that I wasn't secure enough. During that time I also learned about everyone earning yield on their BTC. I did significant reserch and decided it may be safer to hold my coins with a custodian then just sitting around my apartment, and why not earn yield while they hold them. Well, we all know what happened in 2022 with the collpase of Voyager, Celsius, and others. I was very fortunate that I had withdrew all my coins before the collapse, but now I was sitting with the same problem of having my entire net worth on a USB in my apartment. Tough way to get a good night sleep. After some research I found Unchained Capital and I was extremely impressed with the service. Their knowledge, expertise, and the concierge service to setup your Vault is A+. I was blown away by how inexpensive their product was, and very grateful in their ability to make me feel more secure with a multi sig vault. Finally, I had a solution in which I did not have to trust a 3rd party, I no longer had a single point of failure sitting in my apartment, and I was holding my own keys. Now this is where it gets fun. A few weeks later I was moving into a new apartment and overnight my car was broken into. Unfortunately I has kept both of my Trezor's and some personal information in that backpack as it is almost always with me so I felt secure while moving. To say panic had started to set in would be the understatement of the century. When UC opened Monday morning I reach out ASAP as I knew my keys were comprimised and needed support securing the BTC and creating a new vault. Tom from UC had helped me setup my vault and understood the gravity of the situation so he scheduled some time for me to work through this with him. We secured the BTC and then he overnighted two new Trezor's to me home. Once I had those on Tuesday we got on another call and spent about and hour or two rescuing my old BTC and securing it in a new vault. He stayed on the phone with me the whole time and walked me through what I needed to step by step. Tom's customer service was 2nd to none. It was amazing to work with him and the UC team. They understood how important this was to me and that I needed help. Their product +customer service combiniation is best in class. After hodling and stacking since 2017 I was able to manage to avoid the pitfalls of losing my BTC by not trading for shitcoins, or losing it on an exchange (Close). However, if I had waited 3 more weeks to sign up with UC I would've lost my entire stack that I have put some much time, energy, and money building. It would have been so mentally difficult to come back from, I don't know where I would be. Thank you to Tom and UC team for coming in my life at the right time, and helping me protect my assets with no counterparty risk, so I can sleep a little easier at night.

Based on what I’ve learned so far in my Bitcoin journey Unchained Capital has the right approach. The onboarding consultant was superior and rarely have I seen such a clean and carefully thought out web interface. This has escalated my interest and commitment in accumulating bitcoin and self custody. If you desire a multi sig solution I highly recommend considering Unchained Capital and their concierge service. The confidence you will gain is worth the minimal cost.

I've always had concerns that in the event something were to happen to me, my wife and family would have trouble being able to access our cold storage Bitcoin. As I dove further down the collaborative custody rabbit hole, bringing other things to mind like a single point of failure was an oversight I did not think of. I first learned of Unchained through TIPS when David was on with Stig. This was followed by other appearances by them and Parker and finally Justine's interview on BCB podcast. As I learned more about them, they sounded like exactly the solution I was looking for. I just finished my onboarding session with David Layton and I have to say it was a great experience. He answered my questions thoroughly and also broke down for me about UTXOs which was pretty cool and something I wasn't aware of. Vault is live and I already sent my first multi-sig transaction! I've been putting this off for years thinking it would be so much more daunting and difficult than it really was. Unchained was a great way to onboard into it, I'm a very happy customer.

I chose Unchained after explaining my displeasure with Ledger to my son who said that there was a better solution. I just wanted to drop this note to let you guys know how impressed I am at Unchained Capital. As you know I was using another company which offers bitcoin IRA products before switching to you. I had actually paid that company to set up a trust for my bitcoin IRA but the process was not smooth and I never actually felt comfortable transferring my coins into cold storage with them. Especially when I heard about the McNuty verdict. One big problem is the way they have the checkbook IRA set up, they disavow all knowledge of what's happening with the coins (I learned this reading the paperwork they would only provide after I was well into setting it up). Well, what if I lose my wallet and have to change the key and move the funds to that new key. I think if I did that this could open me up to scrutiny because they are not 'watching' the key and could not affirm to the IRS that this was an approved transaction. In any case, not only does it seem like you have a better legal structure with the Tri-Party Agreement and everything, you guys have been great to work with. I'm pretty impressed that you stayed on top of the transfer and kept me in the loop the whole time. You answered the phone when I called and knew how to help me. Again, I appreciate it and please keep up the great work.

I know next to nothing about cryptocurrency. Conner and David were outstanding. Both made me feel comfortable and clearly know their stuff. This on-boarding process and initial set up was stress free. I was left with confidence that my experience with this outfit is going to be top flight.

How do you find a company that is honest? By their effort to be transparent. That is what Unchained is made of. The burden is not only on the customer, but the company takes are responsibility. They are truly builders!

There are many different products that can be used on the market for bitcoin cold storage and while if used correctly most are very secure, it is better to set yourself up with a multi signature setup. Unchained achieves the security and also provides a much more friendly user experience, akin to using a legacy stock brokerage account platform like E*trade or similar. The support that is provided from on-boarding, setup and learning how to use the product at your own pace is wonderful. They provide ongoing support as well as a library of informational YouTube videos that you can always reference which is great for someone like me that likes to watch a few times to understand. Beyond the cold storage solutions, which is the primary use, you can also receive loans against your bitcoin, setup bitcoin based IRA’s and I would assume another host of products will be coming over the course of time. I have recommended Unchained Capital to family and friends and will continue to do so. In my estimation, they are the best all bitcoin platform around based on product and service. I expect that to only get better. There are different price points for the different products they offer but from what I have seen they are also on par with industry price points without sacrificing security, UX or on going support. You won’t regret using Unchained.
